  1. Sorry for not updating for so long, been quite busy in the Christmas period. ________________________ Unfortunatley I couldn't make it to the Christmas event due to the snow however the park posted some Promotional Images on it's Facebook of the event, After this I will show some of the photos I got during January of the park. The park is half way through it's off season. The Candy Cane Express The Show seemed popular at night, I was told it had something to with Christmas being stolen from the north pole. The Area around Santa's Grotto Shark Bait wasn't to busy Nether was express The Entrance Areas decorations The Merry go round. I managed to visit the park in January when the Snow had cleared up to see the Developments over at Adventure Express It seems the pathways have been expanded to hold more guests Prey seems to have started getting a re-paint There's quite a lot of space where the cafe used to be, They have moved Pendulum's queue line to that side to free up some more space The Paths don't seem as cramped as they once were The area around Adventure Express has been re-themed for it's 30th anniversary and a new cafe is being built around the break run and has a balcony overlooking it along with an exit from the ride into a small gift shop. You can see the new trains in this photo. The new trains were built by Gerstlauer The Entrance to the ride has changed quite a bit, they have themed the queue to it's original theme of the abandoned train racing through the mountains, the queue line is mainly themed to the ruins of the preparation of the expedition. It's not finished yet, a few touches have still to be made however this part is nearly done. The other side to cafe used some of the supports from the old cafe to build a smaller balcony overlooking the walkway, chairs and more vines have still to be added. Thanks for reading! Please comment and give feedback!
  2. Nice Park so far, I'm looking forward to see what comes out of this project, One suggestion I have is that ou should download the wooden support overhaul to make your wooden supports more realistic without having to custom support rides, It can be downloaded here Apart from that it's looking good.
  3. I think it's awesome seeing Big Mike on the Live screen! Bad Screen shot but It was pretty cool to see him talking to someone live
  4. Thanks for the comments! Ace Of Spades: Thanks, I usually play the game in low graphic settings to allow me to build more with less lag, I have turned it up for updates though, Thanks for the advice!. I will fix the Zero G roll's support. Thanks for the feedback! -Edge of Beast-: Thanks, I am working on adding more trees and you will also see in this update that the paths are being widened and I am starting to get rid of the 90 degree angled corners. I have also made the coasters supports partly custom along with the log flume. I have still to add footers. Thanks for the feedback, it's very helpful! coastercrazy 9: Not much I can say to that but Thanks for reading! _________________________ The park is now closed for the off season and is preparing for it's winter event, Half the park is closed off for Maintenance and is getting new wider pathways and fences. The Gift Shop and Cafe for Prey is being removed after being closed for 3 years, the only thing inside the building open was the On Ride photo booth and it was deemed as a waste of space for a small photo booth. Also the park is preparing for it's Xmas event by building a stage and a grotto. The entrance to the park after the bridge, the Fountain has been covered up for maintenance. Both of these rides are now closed Looking back from the bridge you can see some more Xmas decorations on display The park have started widening the path at this point De-construction of the Prey gift shop, they have to do it bit by bit to avoid damaging anything Preparation for a smaller cafe in this spot is in progress More work on the entrance area, they are trying to get as much as possible done before the snow starts Vipers final big drop, however the lake is drained. Some of the boats are inside the building under prey for maintenance No work has started on racer yet. Some rides maintenance are done is the station Once I was guided to the open side of the park, I was shown the stage has been re-build again (it's built every year) They have blocked of sea storm and the log flume though One of the actors was preparing for a rehearsal on the stage The stage from the top of Shark Baits lift hill. Another photo of the stage. The Cafe's fences have been removed to be replaced before the Winter Weekends open. The entrance to Santa's Grotto is through the entrance you would usually pass through to get to Kid's kingdom. The Cafe will be open this winter, it has still to be given some decorations. A tent has been attached to the back of entrance to the grotto and has been themed inside. The train ride is being re-themed to the candy cane express The express will be open during the Winter weekends So will the Slide and Cafe. The slide has fences at the stop to prevent people from trying to get pictures of the work going on around the park. Theses rides won't be operating for a while I'm aware the Cars, Wild Mouse and Shark Bait will though! Please comment with any feedback!
  5. Adventure Island Amusement Park was founded in 1948 and has grown since then, Once the park was known as a wildlife park before gaining it's new owners in 1995 who modernized the park by demolishing the parks wooden coaster to replace it with a B&M inverted coaster along with other additions such as the Power Towers and Pendulum and Mad Mouse. I am going to giving you updates from the park from now on. The park is nearly finished it's season and is preparing for it's Xmas event. The Park is built on an island at which visitors cross a bridge to get to and can travel to various parts of the park by Boat. The park is the bigger of the two islands and features a large mountain which was also part of when the park was a wildlife and holiday camp. Also there is a water park known as Adventure Creek Water Park on the smaller Island however I will not be able to cover this fully as the park has closed for the season. Here are some pictures from the park before it preparing for it's Xmas event. Here is the entrance area before the bridge, these feature ticket booths, shops and cafes, the parks offices and an small theater used for private events. The bridge to cross allowing entry to the park [ From the entrance to the park you get a pretty good view of Prey and the inverter which rarely operates now. Once crossing the bridge I decided to go round the park clockwise and headed along to the area with more of the thrill ride side of the park apart from the Shark Bait looping coaster which is on the more family orientated part of the park. As you can see the park promotes the thrill rides on this side of the park. I passed one of the parks older attractions which is a Schwarzkopf sit down family coaster (speed racer) that utilizes the terrain of the mountain for most of the ride. It is called Adventure express and is opposite Pendulum Near Pendulum and Prey is the parks oldest remaining coaster, the Racer. It is a wooden rollercoaster that was given new trains a few years a go however has stopped racing a while ago. The racer racing during testing, it is rare to see it racing with passengers. It does still retain it's art Deco Station however with a covered maintenance shelter added on to store the new Trains and it still contains two of the old PTC trains. Past the racer takes you to an older part of the park including the Wild Cat coaster, The Viper suspended coaster, Tidal wave coaster and a few other rides. Walking along the path takes us to the old ghost train. The ride was put up for sale a few years ago however never got sold. The ride is built partly underground and is quite big, it used to have a big Facade however that was removed when the park was selling the ride, the rides building still remains and the ride only operates during the parks halloween activities and on busy days. Near here is the end drop of Viper before going to the breaks, I didn't mention that the ride got new trains to save maintenance costs. The Scrambler next to Vipers station. Tidal Wave was the parks 1st looping coaster. You can see one of the Boat rides stations as well. In the distance you can see the entrance to kids kingdom and the back on the ghost train. The ride from overhead. Kids Kingdom is next door and you enter through a small castle facade which is extended at the side to have a small cafe and a storage facility along with the slide build on the hill. This area has not been touched very much since the park was sold apart from the family coaster was added in 1999 The Express family coaster The Teacups and merry go round are both very old along with the train ride around the side of the mountain which is a family favorite in the park. Next to the Teacups are the Vintage Cars that wind around the Log Flume and Shark Bait looping coaster This photo shows the Cars station a bit better along with the Boat rides Station and a part of the Log Flume This photo shows the interaction between the rides. The older part of the park in the distance. vhttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae145/robo541/Shot6356.jpg[/img] Another photo of Prey from the distance. The Parks Current Logo Please comment, I hope to improve on the park, I am aware there's a few parts of the park I need to work on, I would love to hear your thoughts. In my next update I will show more of the park and preparation of the Christmas weekends at the park. PS: Thanks to RD with the help on the Schwarzkopf coaster!
  6. For those interested, it looks like the PMBO Track has been Removed! Photos from Pleasure Beach experience.
  7. I found this picture on here of what the rides facade used to look like when it was just being built. Also heres another two photos It has been said it may take until summer for it to be fully finished.
  8. It seems like they are getting rid of most of the facade, this was an explanation as to why they were doing this. There are six pumps at the top of Valhalla for the waterfall effect. As far as I'm aware, 4 are being removed and only 2 will remain. This is simply due to it battering the station, cost reasons and the simple fact that they haven't used all six pumps simultaneously in years. The turnaround is likely to stay. That track is being exposed to lots of rubble, yes, but the feature is an essential block brake, sure the ride system could be reprogrammed etcetera but that would be costly and PBB barely have enough cash as it is. If you look at these pictures you can see the big ones track supporting it. Also for those interested The Gold Mine has closed to be transformed into something else, The roof on that is also starting be torn down The big one is Also being retracted again. These a lot of work going on this winter at Pleasure Beach, Also Bling has been sold to Sky line park in Germany. Photos Copyright Pleasure Beach Experience there's more photos on there as well.
  9. The Only difference I would say is that Blackpool is starting to improve a bit now. With Constant additions now and more investment in the park is giving the park a better future unlike IB who is going for the worse. This park looks very nice as well, It's such a shame to see it deteriorate with the new Management however it's good to see the employees worried about the park.
  10. 18/20 in the first one and I got 16/20 in the second one.
  11. For My new park I though about adding a suspended coaster around the Mountain along side the Schwarzkopf so I tried a rough layout today, not sure if it's realistic or not or what to fix. Due to it being on a mountain it's hard to show the layout so I made a video of the ride http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSgTh0BPPag Please comment on the layout of the ride and how to improve it. I have still to add supports, catwalks and work on the terrain a bit more. Here are some pictures of the ride from above to give another perspective. I have nearly finished work on the Speed racer called Adventure Express the only thing still to fix is the Tunnel part of the ride and to add supports. Here is a On ride video of it so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6qysDWx9Ig Some feedback would be appreciated as I'm not sure if I should keep the Suspended coaster.
  12. ^ Are you Allowed to use the Net on 2 CTR Then? I Considered entering this but RCT3's Flyers useless anyway and you don't have a lot of options.
  13. ^ Love the Custom Supports! I'm Working on a sort of Batman the Ride Clone except not themed to Batman. It looks better at night, I still need to fix the Supports though.
  14. Maybe they could relocate the Boomerang from Six Flags new Orleans if it's still there and they don't have a shuttle.
  15. Working a bit more on my Corkscrew Coaster and Added a Log Flume around it and have nearly finished supports. Does the Log Flumes layout look ok?
  16. I'm Going to try something like that to make it more interesting. Out of interest, do you know how many trains a ride like this would run?
  17. The only other road ones I can think of is NYR'S Roads which has roads and parking covers. Also are you looking for cars as well?
  18. Sorry about the Bad Grammar. Now, I have added a Mid Course Break Run where the Corkscrews were however I'm not sure if it's any better. Also any one know how many trains a coaster like this may run? Thanks for the help and sorry for asking so many questions! This is where the corkscrews used to be which is now a MCBR The Corkscrews now (Supports still to be added) Also any help on if the other coasters layouts ok would be nice.
  19. My other park Paradise Gardens has to much lag so I have started work on a new park I would like to see what people think of the Layouts. This park I plan on calling it Adventure Island I have still to finish Custom Supporting them, the terrain and station building and some more details still to be added A custom Schwarzkopf that doesn't invert and sort of Hugs the terrain, It might be called Adventure Express Here is the ride from the first drop After the Break Run there the ride dives down around the entrace area then takes a tunnel through the mountain and into the breaks The other coaster I have started work on is A custom Arrow Looper called Shark Bait. I would quite like feedback on the coasters Layouts, Please ignore the rest of the park and the bad supports on the coasters as I have still to work on them. Also does anyone know how many trains a ride like this would run, I have placed 3 however am not sure if that's to many.
  20. I need to get No Limit's, this is a amazing offer, I wish it was for RCT3! I'm Surprised no one has entered anything I mean your getting a free DVD!
  21. Thanks for the comments! I went back to the park today and it was busy, I will show you it in the photos. The Fast Track system is working quite well and they are having to open more shops selling it and another shop at the entrace will open. The park have also Got a new logo in for Promotion however are still using the old one as well. Here is the new park map. And here is the Fast Track Prices and Ride list Here's the first fast Track Shop thats open at the entrance, they got rid of the toilets next door and are moving them to the Building next to them so they can have another 2 fast Track booths there The Old Logo up there is going to be changed at some point to the logo for this year However on the other side it's already been done, there's also work on a new Fast pass shop and another Guest Services shop there. Corkscrew was very busy, and it was on 2 trains This was the Fast Track line for the ride The Beast Wild Thing was on 3 trains Adventure express stayed very busy all day That's the longest line the frog hoppers seen The Chairswing wasn't to busy However the Rock N Tug was a hit Enterprise was closed at one part of the morning however re opened later Adventure Express mad mouse was using an extended queue line Splashdown was popular The new coffee shop was a good addition Tree Choppper wasn't to busy I'm Aware due to the beast getting rougher it's getting new trains and partly re-Tracked however this will happen later in the season I'm told Also I wonder What's inside this Building, It's apparently always been there. Please Comment!
  22. It's been a while since I last updated, Due to the fact I was on holiday in Florida was one of them. ___________ The park has gone a long way since I last Visited and It's now already open and it's March. The Floorless Coaster project had to be put back a year due to fears of noise complaints the ride will be placed at the back of the park for next year. In Place of the Motocoaster a new Family coaster was purchased from Vekoma called a Junior Boomerang. Along with that a Large water play area was added called Adventure Creek. The Park has introduced fast Track on Most of it's major rides and is still installing it on some rides. They have started testing it on most rides. In the off season a new queue was formed on most rides for fast track. Anyway Here's some photos from the park Let's look at the new area This is the main water tower for the ride This is what it looks like from outside the park. Some of the rides it features are A Small drop tower which was relocated from another part of the park, The Old chairswing ride re-themed, A rockin tug and the Coaster called Adventure Express. Adventure Express You can see it's train ready to be put on the track Mad Mouse is on fast Track So is Mystery Mine This area is where the Floorless coaster would have gone The Area leading to the new part of the park is closed off. Splashdown has been Put on Fast track The Pirate Ship has been made more exiting by being put over water. The same could be said to revolution With Treetop Twister Capacity It has been given an extended queue line for busy days This is one the places you can buy fast track from Corkscrew Recived a fast track line, however It's longer than it's actual line Join Me next time as I visit the Park on the Opening of the new Land!
  23. I have been away for a bit as it has been sunny for the past few days. I have been to Busch Gardens Twice since my last report. Here is my report from the first day of Busch Gardens on Sunday the 3rd. Here is my ridecount for the day, I let the pictures tell the story of the day 1st ride was Cheetah Hunt-2 A very good ride, not to intense however my favorite launch coaster. The first wait was 60 minutes when I got to the park however it only worked out to be 40 minutes after I got off It was up to 90 minutes. I got a second ride in which I waited 75 minutes for. It was worth it, quite good airtime and the Launch Upwards was great. Montu-3 Was walk on when Cheetah had a 90 minute wait. Very Intense at the back row, rode it front row and in the 4th row, preferred the back, One of my favorite inverts. Great Ride. Gwazi Lion & tiger-3 Rode Lion once and Tiger twice. The new trains don't make much of a difference to the ride, it's still very rough and not a very good ride, reminds me of Stampida. It was walk on as we went after Montu. Sheikra-4 Was also walk on and was quite quiet rode 3 times in the morning and once later in the afternoon with a 15 minute wait. Great drop and inversion , The 2nd drop and splashdown was good however you didn't get wet. Stanley Falls Flume-2 Rode once in the morning then once at night. Quite a fun flume and it moves very quickly, not a very big splash and on the first drop you don't get wet. The Final drop was good. Tidal Wave-3 Great way to cool down, had never done this ride before, must have missed it, didn't know about the bit before the drop. The drop was good and very wet. Sky Ride Kubma-3 Great ride, a little rough and loud however one of the best coasters in Florida and was walk on until a big group of Brazilian school Kids came by to ride Congo Rapids-2 Ok rapids rides do good drops, you mainly get wet by the fountains and the waterfall near the end of the ride. Sand Serpent Wild Mouse ride with a few drops, nothing more to say. SandStorm 2 Fun little ride which spun quite fast. Scorpion-3 Great coaster, better than twist and Shout. Quite intense and only having Lapbars is great. Shame it only seems to run on one train as it got quite busy during the day. Rhino Rally Was worse than the last time I rode. Was very short and un interesting The Train Sesame street coaster(Can't remember name) Photo's The first thing we saw when arriving was Montu Testing This was a good sign! Cheetah Hunt was open so we rode that. After I rode it the queue got busier Cheetah Hunt's 2nd Launch We headed over to Montu next! Which was running good The corkscrew We then left Montu to ride Gwazi Gwazi I wonder how the ride would ride with this on it? We went by sesame street We went to Sheikra We then did the Log Flume Then we went to do Kumba After Kumba we then did the rapids After Kumba we went to Timbuktu We walked over to the wild mouse Then we went over to ride Sand Serpent The Phoenix was closed. I rode the Sandstorm which was fun Then went over to ride Scorpion Which was running Great! We passed these Elephants on the way to Rhino Rally Rhino Rally After Rhino Rally we rode Scorpion Again The Phoenix had started testing again. The 2nd train wasn't running We then rode Sandstorm Then went back to ride Tidal Wave Part 2 to Follow Soon!
  24. Sorry for not posting the update earlier however I was at Busch Gardens yesterday. On Thursday we visited The Studios park of Universal for the morning then came back at night for a few more rides as well as going back to IOA For a bit. Here's my ridecount Rip Ride Rockit-4 First ride on this was when the park opened got a ride on when it was quiet then we went onto it again to find it was broke however we were told to come back later and say the pass word "time"I think and we got on later. then we came back at night and did the same thing for one ride then we were talking to the girl at the entrance and told her about how we missed a ride yesterday and she was nice enough to let us have another ride. I had a very varied ride on the coaster as the first ride early in the morning was ok but not great, the second ride was ok, however I don't know what it was however the night rides I had were amazing the coaster seemed to be running great. The Mummy-5 My favorite indoor coaster, got lots of rides on it due to express pass, very well themed and quite fun. ET-Good darkride however had done it before Simpsons Ride-2 Fun simulator ride, don't think it was as wild as Back to the Future Men In Black-3 My favorite shooting ride, fun ride and well themed. Disaster-not much to say about it, was ok the subway car was good Jaws-2 Quite like this ride and the setting of it, the boat drivers are good Shrek 4d-quite a good 4d film IOA Ride Count Dr Dooms Fear Fall-2 Great ride for a shot tower, rode twice in the dark as didn't ride yesterday Hulk-3 It's much funner in the dark and is still very loud Spiderman Photo's First Ride we went to at the Studios was Rip Ride Rockit, Again. The Non inverted loops quite fun We headed over to do ET Then Simpson's I like the theming of the Simpson's Area We then headed over to ride Men in Black From the Lake area we could see Rip Ride Rockit had started to test again, so we headed in that direction. We rode Jaws on the way there Jaws Fire! After Jaws we rode Disaster Rip Ride Rockit was running again However we rode the Mummy Twice 1st, Bad photo as I put my good camera in a Locker, We were getting nearer to the ride They were shooting an Advert that day They were filming here as well. We finally got back to the ride We then did Shrek Then Left the Studios for a bit to get lunch and swim at the Hotel Hard Rock Hotel's Pool We ate at the beach club. It Started to get Dark So we left the Hard Rock to go back to the park First we went to the studios as it closed at 9 Good thing Rip Ride rockit was running. Of course we rode it. The Monster Cafe. We rode the Mummy 3 times as it was walk on. The park looks cool at night We left the studios to go to IOA We passed the Hard Rock Cafe Then entered the park We Rode Fearfall twice which was good at night Then Spiderman Then rode the hulk 3 times The Hulk as seen on the way out The exit to the park The Universal Globe at night One Last Photo of the studios. Thanks for reading, Busch Gardens TR Will be posted soon, Please Comment!
  25. I was at Universal for the past 2 days and had a good time, there was quite a few breakdowns however they were very quick at resolving the problem except with Rip Ride Rockit. We stayed at Hard Rock Hotel which gave us free express passes plus which enables you to skip the queues, which helps when most rides have queues over half an hour. Here is the ride count for the first day which was spent at Islands of Adventure however at the start of the day we went to ride Rip Ride Rockit however it broke down on us so we left The Hulk-3 Quite a good ride, one of my favorites however seems quite rough, I rode it in row 5,2 and 8 and back row seemed to be the best ride, I think the launch is one of the best parts. It was on 3 trains and dispatching well. Spiderman-5 It started raining heavily so we kept riding this for a bit, quite a good ride with cool effects Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls-2 One of my favorite log flume rides, was closed for most of the day however opened up later, enjoyable ride. Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges Such a wet ride, got drenched on it, worse than Valhalla, has a fun drop however is to wet for a rapids ride. Jurassic Park River Adventure-3 Fun ride, got stuck on this for 15 minutes just after the gates open after the first drop the boat started to move very slowly up to the rock bit where there was a line of boats ahead of us, we had to wait for a while there. We got express passes however we didn't need them so gave them away. Quite like the ride and wasn't to busy WWOHP-Forbidden Journey Good ride, waited 40 minutes for it when it had a 60 minute wait which saved us getting up at 7 in the morning to ride it. I am not that into HP However I thought it was good but I liked the Lost continent area that was there before it as well. THe queue line was well themed and so was the ride. Dragons Challenge-3 I prefer it as Dueling Dragons and I thought the queue line was rubbish compared to what used to be. It was running on 2 trains and dispatch was good, Personally I prefer fire over ice. I read in another topic Robb said try Back row of Fire and front row of ice, I did that just after it had stopped raining and I had 2 amazing rides, I went back later that night for another ride however it wasn't as good. Flying Hippogriff The first time I have seen a rollerskater with a 40 minute queue, Luckily had express passes. Poseidon's Fury I quite liked this walk through/show, I wasn't very busy and I can't see it being at Universal much longer, reminded me of Temple de Fuego at Portaventura The Cat in the Hat Quite a fun little dark ride with spinning cars, only went on it due to rain. Here's the Photos. First attempt to ride Rip Ride Rockit. Then Headed into IOA Instead First ride was the Hulk It was running quite well We then Headed into Toon Lagoon I like the Theming of this area. We rode the Rapids and got soaked Then Headed for Ripsaw Falls however it was closed. We then headed to Jurassic Park We went on River Adventure However we got stuck on the ride. After that we headed over to the wwohp We visited one of the wand Shops It had some nice details in it. However I would not pay that price for what is essentially a Stick. I liked the buildings however I sort of prefer Lost Continent. We Rode Dragons Challenge Fire and Ice The entrance to the ride We then headed into forbidden Journey Which had quite a long queue however it moved quite quickly This scene is quite good The Ride Vehicles We rode the rollerskater after this Then Watched this show After that we went back to get another ride on Jurassic Park river Adventure Then Rode Rip Saw Falls twice It then Started to rain so we went to Spiderman Spiderman's Cars We then did the Cat in the Hat We didn't ride this. After that we left for dinner We had dinner at the Kitchen in the Hard Rock hotel Hard Rock Hotels Pool. Hopefully I will post the next update Tomorrow.... Tomorrow's Universal Studios!
