Im only here because of a shameless plug! But nice PTR! That bobsleigh thing looks scary as hell, but strangly enjoyable! I'll have to hit the North East eventuially, I just got back fromt he mid West, but maybe next years trip. Colin C

Okay so last thursday the whole midwest SFGAm crew hit, well, SFGAm! Ill type under the pictures what's going on, but pretty much me and my friend Zach (M Force 4 Ever) were invited for Tornado Media day and then we met Dan, Ally, and Dan's friend Travis at the park after the event. So I hope you enjoy! Check out the attached video! Its a SFGAm music video followed by the "Adventure to White Castel" and includes exclusive shots of the construction of "Robb Alvey!". We had to show up your stack of boxes, so we did it in style! Heres another look: So after ALLL those Slyders, ketchup packets, plates, and drinks, we made this! So Travis had to step in a do it the right way... Well, this WAS supposed to be an "E", but Dan sucks at building things out of boxes... Whats this supposed to be, a "Y"??? So after SUF, we left the park and went to White Castel! We had a total of 34 slyders between us. I had 6, Dan had 9, Ally had 4, Travis had.....2 and Zach had 13! We started to build something with the boxes, it looks like a "V" of sorts! And so is Ally... Okay so we rode Whizzer a few times, then hit SUF. It rained HARD while we were waiting, and even harder while we were riding! See my shorts are wet. We hit BTR next, where Zach decided to make love to the ACE landmark sign.... It was good, but not as good as Goliath, and it could be better without the trims. Yes Ally, Raging Bull is up there! Next was Raging Bull! Mmmmm Demon with the old style logo's and even the origional Demon song playing in the station! We also passed a group of these kids with purple shirts, Travis wanted one, but he couldent pass for an 8th grader anyways, so it didnt matter. We were heading over to Demon when we saw a green lantern banner. Now, I cant tell, but is he black or white in this picture? Our ride was good, I like it better backwards, but it was still good forward. We played DDR next sence it was close by in the tent area. Strike a pose Ally, strike a pose... But only Blue was open today, although it was running forwards this year isntead of backwards like the last 5 or so seasons. We did Ragin Cajun first, but I dont have any pictures of that, so we did American Eagle next! They also brought one of they're friends, Travis with them. And Ally! Well at about 10:00 I left the event and headed to the park for opening. I met my two friends Dan.... Just some artsy fartsy Tornado shot I took. Here is the model ACEr...err...Zach taking video of the Lazy River. See only life guards! Its okay though, it was a fun event, and they have the spinny two person tubes on this Tornado! They had about half the slides open for us, but Tornado, the slide the media day was for, was only open to the Life Guards! I guess they had not cycled enough tubes to let the GP on yet, or even us fancy media folk. So this is Zach, were at Hurricane Harbor, its 6:00 AM, were cold, and he's ready!

I took like 20 pictures of the track on Thursday before Coaster Mania, and a bunch of footer shots. Ill post them later, but Im pretty sure this will have atleast ONE inversion or maybe more. Some of the track looks like an loop where as another piece looks like a heartline roll, but its a three tube track and not the usuial 2 tube track used in heartline rolls. Colin C

Thank you for the advice/rate! That video was made back an August, but I KNOW I've improved on my editing skills sence then. I couldent quite figure out how to get the audio right back then, as I just increased the raw audio instead of decreasing the actuial song. One last thing, that guy racing TTD was yours truly. Colin"Thinks that my WDW video was better, but hey Im happy I made it into the contest!"C

Hahaha best moment of the trip was when you pulled into the station of Legend and I yelled "OMG ITS DEREK!!!!!" and you looked at me like I was crazy and said "Ummm....Hi...." haha good times, atleast we got a voyage ride in. Colin"Also bought a sassy blue raven flag!"C

Im leaving for the airport in 4 hours, Im so excited! Its going to be a fun event, even if there are like 10,000 people there! Ill make sure to take lots of photos and whatnot. Colin C

^^Ill keep you company Derek (just bring beer)! Yeah I was pretty sure I was wrong about the crowds, but thats still a lot more (almost twice) people going to the events than Coaster Con last year. Hopefully the crews are as good as the ones at SFGAm are! Colin"Kidding about the beer, unless of course you want to, then Ill reconsider"C

EDITED WITH BETTER SPELLING!!!!!!!!! ^^First off I started a topic about that, how did ANYBODY miss it? Secondly, I think that neither B&M or Intamin build "predictable" rides. Rather, they build what the parks have space for. If a park wants a 7 inversion invert, do you think that 5 of the inversions are going to be loops? They are trying to build a 7 invert coaster using as many elements as they can, and apparently they work in a certain order that shows up a lot. That’s not predictable, its original if anything. Intamin on the other hand, they built I believe 3 of the same type impulse coasters in one year all for six flags. I mean think about it, do you think its cheaper to build 3 of a kind rides for your parks or build 3 completely original impulse coasters. Same goes for all the B:TR's and SUF's. Clones are cheap, and Im sure that if you asked a ordinary person at a park how many BTR's there are, I don’t think he/she would know. Intamin also builds they're multi inversion coasters like anybody else would. Fit as many different elements as they can over the course of the ride, but just because you see them on other Intamins doesn’t make it a bad coaster. I mean come on, do you expect them to invent 10 new inversions for every coaster they build? Same goes with TTD and Kingda Ka. TTD WORKED at that height, why build a completely original coaster when you already know that a previous designed successfully worked at that height. In this case, they improved on the layout a bit, but the ride is still generally the same. I hope that makes some sense to you guys! Colin C
