  1. ^It'll sure beat the hell out of the old pieces of concrete that have been there for the last two years (although they were handy spots for trees during Christmas Town).
  2. ^As do I. The "break" for "brake" goof just happens a lot here and on other enthusiast sites. It's nearly as bad as "lose/loose."
  3. ^It was removed along with the Big Bad Wolf. Being as Verbolten follows a "drive in the Black Forest" theme, I doubt that the village is coming back. We shall see.
  4. ^^That's where the vertical drop section is located--and I imagine there'll be some other special effects in that building, too. I like how the two Busch Parks are taking some chances with their new coasters. Cheetah Hunt was a great addition to BGT and has a different "feel" from other launched Intamin coasters. Verbolten will be unlike any other ride at BGW. Here's to hoping that it turns out well.
  5. I missed the "shooting bumper car" ride completely.
  6. The building will be tough to spot from the bridge between Germany and Italy when the trees are full of leaves during the regular season. I'm curious about how they're going to "dress up" the outside of the building (as well as about what else is going to happen inside).
  7. I went back to Christmas Town this weekend to check out some things I missed earlier--such as the progress on Verbolten. Looks like they're moving along quite well. The indoors section is now completely enclosed. Here's a look. This sign greets you at the front of the park. Having trouble finding Verbolten? Just look for the big crane. The big green show building is finished--as far as I can tell. Meanwhile, back at the old Big Bad Wolf station . . . Work continues on the old footers. This should give you an idea of how big the new building is--at least compared to this huge pile of dirt. More footer work--this time, on what used to be BBW's final drop. Hello. What's this? I'm guessing this is where the trains will exit the building and hit a launched section--or is it the other way round? Here's another angle from farther back. A triumphant support stands defiant over its fallen enemy. Verbolten wishes you a Merry Christmas!
  8. Or at least a cameo by Snow Miser.
  9. Fixed. Believe it or not, there are idiots and knuckleheads in enthusiast groups, too.
  10. ^Are you calling "shenanigans"?
  11. Isn't it? I'm wondering if SyFy actually THINKS out the plotholes... or leaves them in for groups like us! Probably a bit of both.
  12. This snow that doesn't melt when there's a river of hot lava running under it is amazing.
  13. One snow globe to rule them. One snow globe to find them. One globe to bring them all, And in the darkness bind them.
  14. Well, they're ripping off Lord of the R I N G S now. They most destroy the one Snow Globe of Power in the fires of Mt. Doom!
  15. Who could've thought that cursed snow globes would be so terrifying? Really. Who could've?
  16. Yeah, they blew the budget on hiring the dog and renting out Ghost Town in the Sky for a set.
  17. OK, if the Bumble Snowmonster from "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" doesn't show up, I'll be disappointed.
  18. Well, another lame subplot has been resolved. But remember this: In a SyFy movie, anybody can die at anytime!
  19. My favorite line so far was about how the guy who was killed during the earthquake "loved this time of year"--yes, I bet he always dreamed of being crushed by a flaming Christmas tree.
  20. Helicopter tobogganing is a very dangerous sport.
  21. Snow Miser is exacting his horrifying vengeance on humanity!
  22. ^Our guide mentioned this tour at the Montu tour during Busch Gardens Bash, but said it was being done on the quiet (they're "testing the waters," so to speak). I also feel compelled to air one of my pet peeves: "Break" is what happens when you drop a crystal bowl on a concrete floor. A "brake" is the device that slows down a coaster train.
  23. Good for Mr. Hill! It looks like Sally's got some interesting projects up its sleeve, too.
  24. ^They were having trouble logging me in a few minutes ago--maybe the queue is too full.
  25. ^Call it "brick red," then. This whole paint discussion is becoming ridiculous.
