  1. Its great that Gerstlauer can now build all these manoevers with lapbar-only cars. I guess the ride still needs time to gain speed. It seems to run on very soft wheels.
  2. Those nighttime-shots are fantastic. I was lucky enough to experience the Wizarding World for the first time during IAAPA night event and it is outstanding from the atmosphere. The entire theming feels incredibly real through the sound and light design. Could have staid forever.
  3. Oktoberfest is seriously special. Years ago I thought its the Ultimate for rides but its not. Its huge but actually all rides are really expensive and ride programmes rather short. Germany has other fairs which are better for riding but NOWHERE with this atmosphere and Beer tents and almost everybody dressing up in Tracht. Honestly, its almost strange to come here and NOT to dress in style. Fabulous. Had a great time yesterday. FINALLY got the chance to ride Zierer's "StarShape" High Energy. Its not extreme but extreme fun! We need more like that around. I think it would form a great themepark ride. Oans, zwoa - g'suffa!
  4. The converted tower is "AtmosFear" for Liseberg 2011. The latest new Intamin Drop Tower in Europe must be Hurakan Condor 2005 for Port Aventura. With Griffon in the park I'm not soo sure if a drop tower is really what this park needs... strange but true: Busch Gardens lost their only family coaster! Okay, there is the very small one in Sesame Street but - hey - there is then a huge gap for Families which think that Loch Ness may not be their thrill level yet. Actually an innovative family ride with technology like Alton Towers' "Thirteen" but then longer and maybe with medium launch sequences would be amazing!
  5. Great step for this well-run, beautiful and neat little park. The name and story are from an opera with quite a dramatic background. Well-chosen for this ever-so-Bavarian park! The ride has an essential Novelty: the magnetic launch will also be used for the breaking at the end which means that the car will race through the station and slowly reverse back in. The park already said that a second launch would be possible meaning a repeat ride twice through the structure on slow days. IF there are any slow days: the ride only has one train with two x-cars.
  6. Wow - the view from the shoppin centre reminds me of something.... "Rip Ride Rockit" anyone? Actually the ride looks cool. Still I find it kind of sad that they went for non-inverted inclined loop instead of the standing one at Universal Orlando which turns into the drop the other direction. Anyways: lets first ride it and then see...
