I remember seeing those ads. The mid 90's were great years at SF parks (well I only went to the original 3 and I was 9-11 at the time) Makes me misty eye'd for the good'ole days.

What is the Best B&M Stand-Up Coaster
memphish replied to Yero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've ridden Iron Wolf Change Mantis Georgia Scorcher Vortex at Carowinds I'd probably say I liked Scorcher better. Chang would be my second pick. I think the genre is better suited to the smaller designs though. The Scorcher while not having many inversions, has some great turns and force changes in its layout that make it incredibly fun. You get alot of float on the 90 degree banks and the left turn down into the helix after the first turn around. I haven't ridden Riddler, but it seems people consider Riddler and the Scorcher to be the best of the bunch. Edited for photowhoring fun! -
Dont be hatin! I've gotten addicted to Pyramid, not entirely out of taste, but also due to it being $6.29

^^Yes referring to the US version. If you watched the 1st season and really didn't like it/didn't think it compared to the UK, you really owe it to yourself to watch the second season. The whole show really came into its own and found its own groove away from following the style of the UK version. I just got the 1st season dvd and I don't even want to watch it b/c the 2nd season is so much better.

$6.50 for a beer?!? I would shoot myself in the face....or you know, just not go to a bar. $2.50 pints, you call it, is how I roll. (barely :?) Wally, does Anchor Steam usually taste incredibly different draught vs in a bottle?

^Of terrible beer. No offense to your brewin' skillz I always figured those 'beer audit' commercials were just a ad-ploy. Pretty cool that they actually do check lines and such. -

^^Jetta 1.8Turbo 5spd. I <3 it, especially when chipped ^Its a mash of different pieces that either got left that the guitarists house when we played there or my friend Brett (the drummer) brought over. He has a real kit he keeps at home. Last week though he did buy a huge(like xbox huge) rack which makes it look pretty impressive. Can grab some pics of all the gear if you want.

I wish Family Guy would get out of the overused "Remember the time when..." or "Oh this is worse then..." In the first seasons they made an attempt to tie the cuts/flashbacks into what was actually going on. Some of the episodes from the 4th season seem to be loose frames for 'how many cuts can we cram in this week'. That said there have been some absolutly hilarious episodes this season as well. South Park is its best when they do the episodes of the boys just being boys. The 'Marjorine' episode was a great example of this. The boys believed that the girls had some magical mind control device (One of those paper fortune tellers all the kids made in 3rd grade) and sent Butters in as a girl to inflitrate the group and learn its secrets. "See if the Broncos will win on Sunday." I prefer episodes like these and Awsome-o, Woodland Critter Christmas, etc to the episodes dealing with "Oh this side is so screwed up and this side is too, but they both make a point LOL! <^^> I like some of these episodes alot (Up the Down Steroid) but I prefer the other style and I think thats what they are better at doing. *Troll comment that should have been made long ago* The Simpsons seasons 2-7 still rails both shows.

Libertyland Memorial
memphish replied to coasterdude5's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well the sad part is that the park peaked in quality and number of attractions in the late ninetys-2000. The one year they had trailer model top spin was probably the year they had their best attractions. When I went to the fair this year it was pretty obvious it wouldn't be around too long...Off topic, the fair was also terrible this year. Only 5-8 rides worth riding with endless aisles of games. We spent $30 a piece and had done Libertyland, and the fair in just under 2 hours. Then I look on here a week later and see the awsomeness that was the fair Soren went to. *The Pippin was running better than the last time I had ridden it though, and no matter how short Rebellion was that ride had a killer drop.* Its just time to move, Memphis is going downhill fast in more ways than this. -
Anchor Steam yesterday on the advise of this forum. Is it $10 a six pack over there too Wally? Both Anchor and Liberty Ale were $10 while the Pyramids were $7. Because I'm getting ready for the lollarcaust that is 3 exams this week. The last one. So why is it closed?
