I completely agree about a park renewal! SFDK is a nice park, but there are some really trashy looking areas in the park, especially the front. Some ride rehabs would also be very nice *cough* *cough* Roar! *cough* *cough*. But thing about Hurricane Harbor is, although it is a really cool idea, it would cost both the park and the city a ton of money to do so. I could see the park want to build a water park there, but it going to cost the city quite a bit of money to move the entire fairgounds, even if six flags buys it off of them. Valejo may want to move the fairgounds, but it all comes down to money, an with how the economy is doing, I don't think it would be wise for the city to do so.

Sounds great! I would go, but I'll be over at Disneyland that day.

I'm planing to go to Disneyland on the 16th. Any tips on the best way to clear the park or the rides I should get a fastpass for? Anything would help, thanks!

I'm not surprised this show as great as they made it look. I don't know about you, but I don't tend to use the word "Scary" when I rate a ride, which most GP seem to do.

I have to say, this is really impressive! I never thought the ride would look this good, and I haven't even seen the movies.

^ Whats with all this talk of Grizzly being "Painful"? I never found it to be that rough, its just so.. BORING!

^ For some strange reason, I found the lap bar on my ride in row 6 to be much tighter then my ride in row 2. ( I only rode a few times.) I don't know if it was the way I was sitting or what, but it happened. But other than that, Superman is an outstanding ride! The park really has a winner on there hands!

Like any park on the 4th of july, I'm sure it is going to be VERY crowded. Just run to Superman the second the park opens and you should be ok!

I just got back from opening day. And I have to say, Superman did not disappoint! The ride was intense with a surprising amount of airtime! The lapbars where a little uncomfortable mainly due to those ankles restraints but nothing to unbearable. Overall the ride is really awesome and great addition to the park! Oh and I also took some video.( Sorry about it being shaky.) EDIT: I couldn't attach it so I posted as a link.

Wow, all this hype is getting me REALLY exited about Saturday! The ride looks awesome and the theming looks well done as well!

Me too! Maybe even earlier! Maybe I'll see you? Any other Saturday-goers? Do you think this will be open when the park opens on Saturday, or later in the day? Probably when the park opens unless there's any problems.

Im going first thing on Saturday. And by first thing I mean get to the park a half hour early.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Im pretty sure they do something like SFMM does with X2, by having it be an up charge for flash pass.

^Yeah pretty much. When you go into the park, I think you head to explorers outpost and get a wrist band. But season pass day always seems to have really long lines, so just getting to the park early would work out better IMO.
