  1. Quite possibly. Thus why I used the term "idiot." Either way they're both stupid.
  2. Ouch. That's what I expected the answer to be, being designed by Vekoma and all. It has Kumbak trains now?
  3. "A look at GateKeeper's keyhole tower, inside Clermont Steel Fabricators." PointBuzz Facebook
  4. Thankfully he didn't end up like this idiot.......
  5. Looks beautiful. How is the ride?
  6. ^Well, there goes that "#1 in Guest satisfaction" rating!
  7. Said machines cost $$$ that the park doesn't have or want to spend. That's why they haven't been implemented.
  8. ^Said rating came from within the SF company. That's like saying "West Los Angeles DMV offers the best customer service."
  9. That's the problem. It makes too much sense. Plus not to mention it's clear that USH has always been ahead of SFMM in guest service. For the past 2 years I haven't processed my SFMM pass on the same day I purchased it. They do tell you multiple times "Must be processed before you leave the park today" however they NEVER give me a hassle when I go back on a different date to process. Maybe adequately staffing SP Processsing center was not in the "budget."
  10. ^It's definitely worth it. I dont really care for water attractions too much and I still love it. I personally prefer it over Splash Mountain. I know I'll catch some heat for that.....
  11. When the audio does work, it shuts off 1/2 way up the lift.
  12. Knott's takes a great deal of pride in their Log Ride, and with good reason. Glad to hear this is happening. Out of all of the attractions at Knott's, TMLR causes the most guest complaints when it's down for refurb.
  13. They used to keep it open during Haunt. Mischievous clowns may or may not have had super soakers on the return to the station. You're absolutely correct. I was an operator when said clowns were doing that!!
  14. Yes it was, i'll admit. Problem with the capacity was partially at the fault of the guests honestly. We would spiel numerous times prior to opening the loading gates to NOT pull down on the lap bar until your seatbelt was fastened (XC suffers from this same issue to this day). Every damn boat there's 1 d-bag that sits on his seatbelt and pulls his lap bar down as soon as he sits down. The entire boat has to be unlocked and rechecked. The airtime in the back of the boat was insane and that's what I'll miss most about PP.
  15. ^^I always considered Perilous a must-ride for guests visiting from out of town. Problem with PP was that it was a prototype and it had extremely low capacity due to the restraints and that 1 boat operation was the norm. Not to mention it had nearly a 4-5 minute cycle time. The park purchased 3 boats when it was built but unfortunately it wasn't feasible to run 3 due to excessive loading/unloading times. The 3rd boat quickly became a parts donor to the other 2. 2 New boats were ordered and were put into operation summer of '07. The new boats caused issues with the lift chain as it broke shortly after the new boats were delivered. It was plagued with mechanical issues as we all know but its maintenance team really busted their a$$ trying to keep it running as much as possible. I operated PP for 3 years and I will say that the guests absolutely loved it!
  16. Tatsu was delayed due to the park it was being built in.....
  17. Perilous was never open during haunt so the park would normally just take it down for rehab 1st/2nd week of September as soon as Summer was over.
  18. To be fair......they do need another water attraction.
  19. That's irrelevant. They barely started ground prep..... Miss sarcasm much?
  20. Thanks for the photos. Seems like a nice family event.
  21. Anyone else find it hilarious that CP is still moving at a rapid pace with GK construction despite the snow while MM is dragging their feet in nearly perfect Cali weather? Just saying.....
  22. ^^^Correct, the ride will fault if the catch car travels too far into its brakes. It's called an over-travel/over-speed. XC @ KBF had this issue mostly during the summer due to heat. That's why towards park closing (Usually starting 15-20 minutes prior to closing)the Ops @ XC are supposed to leave 1 car empty for a few dispatches and then 2 cars empty for a few dispatches that way the computer notices the weight differences so when an empty train is dispatched at the end of the night it will not fault.
  23. ^Not to mention a water ride! With as hot as it gets out there, they needed all of the water attractions they had.
