Just got back from the park, and, as always, it was awesome. The rides were running very well and the lines were so short pretty much all day. Like cfc said above, the longest I waited was about 20 minutes for any ride. It was really weird though: I got to the park with my family around 11:30 and the park was still dead. Griffon was a walk-on, as were several other major rides. I closed out the day riding Loch Ness in the front row (for the first time) as the only person on the train. And really, the only person on any roller coaster, as far as I could tell. Really the only "bad" (if you can even call it that) part was Curse of Darkastle. I feel like since it opened the ride has gone so far downhill. Before it was silent in line, save for the creepy music. Now there is that TV in line that nobody pays attention to. There was also the pre-show. I feel like they need to bring back some of the "mystique" and atmosphere it had when it first opened. Then inside I saw several show scenes reset; that has never happened before. Some of the effects have been turned off, too (though some have been off for awhile). But all in all, I feel like BG needs to brush this ride up a bit. And perhaps I am being way to critical, paying attention to minor details, but I remember being in awe at the ride when it first opened and I still enjoy it but now "ehhhh"... Anyone else care to comment?

I play the marimba in the pit along with my two sister. And no I am not a slacker...I regularly play the piano, but my friend basically forced me to do marching band. Just going to combat any of those comments... At my school pit had (as still has to some extent) the reputation of being the slacker drumline dropouts. Which we are not; we have the hardest music in the band. Our marching band is competitive. Here is last year's show. It music based on Dante's Divine Comedy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emngcsDdfwI&feature=related

^^^^I knew the answer to this question once but forgot... I think it was something to do with that (if not that). -

Does anyone know the dimensions (diameter, etc.) of an Intamin drop tower? Or possibly where I might find that information? -
I don't know if it counts but did anybody ever ride ExtraTERRORestrial Encounter in Tomorrowland at WDW. It looked like one of the most disturbing, sick things Disney has ever come up with. Cool...but very weird. My family and relatives always swore it was the scariest ride and that every time without fail some idiotic parent would take there little kid on it who would end up screaming bloody murder the entire time (not to mention being scarred for life and having trust issues with his parents). It closed before I was ever old enough to ride, and I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. I love being scared but not really the idea of doing it.

When I went to CP a couple years ago, there was a guy smoking marijuana in line for TTD, and no one said anything about it. -
What's your favorite Flat ride?

Has anybody gotten a chance to ride the Zamperla Air Race at Luna Park (Coney Island) yet? That looks like a really fun ride. -

They are from the warehouse; from a user tickTACK (the title is B&M Rct3 seat). -

Not really something I'm working on but a concept I thought cool... The top of the tower flares out. -
Was at the park yesterday, and it was fun. The fireworks are good and the extended version they did for the 4th of July was awesome. Rides were running good...AC in the back is still one of the best rides ever. Illuminights is good overall. While I only saw one of the mini-shows for it (Giardino Magico, the Italy one, which was cool with the acrobats) my mom who saw the French one said it was "not up to Busch Gardens standards" so why do it at all? Both were also very short to advertise so much...people were waiting 15 min in advance for a 5 min show. But it was fun, and my sister finally got Alpie (did not like, too rough) and Griffon (loved) credits. I did see someone with a Club TPR shirt on in the station of AC last night at about 10:30 waiting for the back row.

These are my first attempts at NoLimits coaster. The first was me trying to acclimated to the program and has loads of issues, but I thought I would upload it anyway. The second was a more serious attempt, but still has lots of issues. Just for the record, I built this before Blue Fire if you see any similarities. I like the layouts for both the coasters; the execution...not so much. Feedback would be appreciated. By the way, its probably somewhere else on the forum but what are AHG and Elementary or things like that? How do they help? NoLimits-Shootout.nltrack First NoLimits-Crystal Sprint.nltrack Second

I had a dream last night that I rode I305 in the front row (I have never actually ridden the ride either) and the first drop was really slow, but as soon the train was past the trims, it immediately jumped to the speed it would have been going without them. The rest was really fun with some insane ejector airtime. I think my mind did a good job of recreating the ride. -
^Ditto. I got into the show because I was sick and everyone was freaking out about how good Glee was; so I watched several episodes on Hulu. The music is great and Lea Michele is...yeh I finagled my sisters into it too.

If Cedar Point was going to add a dive machine, where would they put it (barring removing Mean Streak, because it obviously could go there if they did). I don't think they have enough room; those rides are huge. -

I can understand where the rest of you are coming from i.e. that rides need to be tweaked, etc. But the need to reduce the speed by 15 mph from the original speed is a rather large percent error. Yes...we don't know enough to make a final judgment. But still...could their projections have been that much off? And the answer could be "yes". We don't know. To me its not that the trims are there...I could care less; its still gonna be a kicka$$ ride. Its more why they needed them in the first place. -

Was there any follow-up to the lift hill support issue? I think someone posted a while back that the lift had a noticeable curve in it. Is there a plan to fix it, or is it a non-issue?
