  1. Titan was filmed today, and yes Mr. Freeze is being filmed tomorrow. Am I the only one who just cannot stand this show? My biggest beef with it is that it's called "Bert the Conqueror", but he's not "conquering" anything that's impressive. Like, when he did the Stratosphere tower rides, or the SCAD Jump, ok. That's fine. But Mr. Freeze? Canobie's Space Shot??? I'm sorry, but millions of people every year "conquer" Millennium Force. It's one thing if you're going to make a "roller coaster show", that's fine, but you're not a "conqueror" when 8 year old kids ride the same things as you are. The show is garbage. Just my opinion... I agree with this. I mean, I've watched it, and he's a lighthearted sunny kind of jokester. But that's beside the point, he just happens to go all around the country doing weird uncommon things, which happens to include riding roller coasters. He's probably going to do stuff people know well (Stratosphere) and I had the same reaction when I heard he was coming to SFOT. I mean, I love the park but really? But this is one of those shows where things you never usually see (like Lagoon, the only episode I've ever watched) in normal shows.
  2. Yeah I remember my first ride (I'm terrified of heights) I was gripping onto the restraints so hard by the time I got off, my hands were completely white, numb, and sweaty. But now it's one of my favorite rides there. And since Bert is apparently afraid of heights as well, I could see why it'd be part of his show. And I just looked it up, and it is the tallest S&S combo tower, and one of the tallest ones in terms of the whole structure next to I think Supreme Scream at Knotts.
  3. That's what I was thinking. There's absolutely nothing extremely major except for Titan. Surely, they wouldn't have Freeze or Batman open just for this correct? Maybe because of Titan's reputation (the intense helixes)? And even Superman could be part of it because (someone correct me if I'm wrong) isn't it one of the tallest S&S shot towers there is?
  4. Ah you were there! Pretty epic game huh? Congrats by the way y'all were epic. Still love Denton Guyer though But back on the topic of TG, does anyone have any ideas as to what the multiple cranes were doing?
  5. ^They're (cherry I think) red, and like, metallic black or something. Basically red and black
  6. I would think they'd bring back a lot of shows or incorporate some old theming into the park and just have all these flashbacks to the park's former days in separate parts of the park. They'll definitely end up having old signs up (I'd think) and whatnot. Since the park is full of people for HitP they don't want to start construction on anything UNLESS they close sections of the park down (like Gotham, although I'm pretty sure that's because the major rides are down) to start construction, but I'm sure once the offseason begins they'll really start getting stuff together.
  7. Possibly you'll be able to hear the wheels running on the steel, so it won't be silent but it won't be exactly loud, but as the train's moving around the track you could get the sound of the wood moving around ind of like on a normal woodie. I
  8. Just another incentive to go to Holiday in the Park which I really need to get to as I haven't been. But I'm hoping for a pull through to start showing itself!
  9. ^^I'd love to see the Rattler get a Topper Track/Iron Horse treatment. I heard in it's glory days that it was a fantastic coaster, but with the drop adjustments, helix adjustments and all the other things, I heard it really neutered the ride. Albeit fun, it is incredibly rough and I mean, come on, the infamous bend? That would be another good reason. And living several hours from it is another good reason
  10. I'm actually planning to go Friday, but sadly can't go on Saturday as we have a football game at Cowboys Stadium. Let's hope it isn't so dark at about 4 o'clock
  11. ^To add to that, if you look closely, you can see the drop off of the midcourse has been taking shape as well. From the angle, it looks pretty steep.
  12. I'm going to try and find the link to this info, but I remember reading that Mr. Six is probably on his way out, which is sad because I don't really want to hear an Asian guy everytime I go to Six Flags
  13. As I'm not really up to reading pages of speculation, I'm not sure if this has come up but I have an idea. Maybe they're gonna keep searching for new wheel compounds and in the offseason they're going to see how each one fares on that piece of track so it's easier to determine what to use and what not to use? Just a thought.
  14. ^That's actually a really good point. I think that could really be a good part of the design so it can handle transitions well.
  15. For me it was ^ (AC) and Dominator that got me hooked. Once I moved to Texas I had enough time to really become a nut.
  16. ^I can't actually wait to ride the "San Francisco Giant". That's awesome
  17. ^Yeah my sister offered to take me and I was like, "Hmmm let's see. Last saturday of Fright Fest, and the Rangers game? I think it'll be incredibly packed and it'd be a stupid day to go." Man did I make a good call
  18. wooooow. I don't think I've ever been more entertained by a TR in a long time Nice photos and report!
