April 1985 In 1840 My Father's Great Great Grandfather founded the James Family Farm on a 300 acre property. In 1905 the family decided to close the farm due to low demand and open a large plaza. The small plaza soon grew into a medium sized amusement park in 1976! This is the story of James Family Farm and Amusement Park.

Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
liftsifter replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If anyone can get a look at the manufacturers tag on the track we can possibly see what the coaster is. X-Works is the code for Wing Coaster. (BTW) -
The only true view of the former SWF area is through the smokers area, and Cole and I both could to get a good look unless we either jumped, or stood on the benches, where you could see all the equipment left over from SWF. And to those that think that the raceway has a chance of re-opening, it doesn't. The park is beginning to remove the run rail. In other news: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmS2XSHsi8w "Welcome to the Demon CLAP CLAP I'm gonna have you screamin' CLAP CLAP I promise."

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
liftsifter replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
"Yeah, Great America's getting back Deja Vu cause that park in Kentucky closed and they moved it over there. So their sending it back here." I wanted to explode... -
Screamscape is saying the ride rotation program is probably going to return with Iron Wolf likely going to SFA and rumors of Deja Vu going to SFNE. You know what that means! When rides are going to be added, specifically coasters, they are not going to be designed to fit an area in a way that makes the ride more interesting, but in a way that makes it easily removable and easy to fit elsewhere..

What area really needs a theme park?
liftsifter replied to let1gre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Montana for starters. They don't have ANY credible amusement parks.! Illinois is also in good need, Six Flags Great America has monopolized the area and continues to do so.
