  1. Mine.... -Visit BGW as many times as finacially possible... -return to KD and ride I305 -maybe find my way to SFOG for a spin again on all their coasters... - convince some friends into a trip to WWOHP...
  2. If I had to throw in my hat... In no particular order: - development of the twisted wooden coaster - further development of the launch coaster - creating the full-circuit 300 and 400 ft. roller coaster - development of fast-pass, quick queue, and Q-bot systems - development of more select park events to encourage travel - rise of the internet - many more...
  3. TRUE GRIT 4 out of 5 stars A fun, witty western with great and diverse characters. A very earthy film, the environments stand as another adding element to the film's direction. Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon anchor the film with amazing performances, but the introduction of Hailey Steinfield as Mattie Ross that stole the movie.
  4. It's a winter wonderland in Virginia and Busch Gardens is closed today!
  5. ^That was an exaggeration. I can attest that park has been as busy as usual maybe even busier. The BGW staff has been working hard to draw crowds into the doors regardless what they have to offer. -Illuminights, Howl-o-Scream, Christmastown: all brought in beyond par crowds.
  6. I was "bummed" that the ride was removed and I do wish it was still there, BUT I'm am totally stoked for what is to come in 2012! And it wasn't a world-class coaster, that's why BGW built Apollo!
  7. I went to Christmastown on Wednesday... TR might be coming. I took this photo of the Mach Tower site. Re-bar is being laid and the foundations of a building nearby are already taking shape. I expect the cement to begin flowing after New Year's and for the tower to begin erecting about the last week of January. (depending on the speed of the cement's curring). The worker's were working into the night as well.
  8. ^Allot of big companies get the week of Christmas/New Year's off, and I would imagine they would get the same? IDK
  9. ^agreed. Blackstone should have a history of not liking Maurer Sohne... *HRRR*
  10. ^ I would say some of the "new" Premier rides like Sky Rocket don't seem like capacity monsters like BGW needs. From what I have heard, Blue Fire rolls through capacity like crazy. Maverick can cut through crowds like crazy!
  11. ^I think he meant to say walkways like on any wooden coaster, from the look of the ledgers, it seems that all the track should have some, and if I am correct they are installing walkways on the first drop...
  12. 1. Intimidator 305 2. First trip to Cedar Point
  13. - Dominator (a.k.a. Batman: Knight Flight) is mentioned in the song Chap-stick, Chapped lips, and things like Chemistry by Relient K. - Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens Williamsburg was originally designed by Schwartzkopf thus explaining its awesomeness. - Grizzly at Kings Dominion was modeled after the famous Coney Island Wildcat.
  14. Yes, especially in the summer. Are you 10 miles from a park right now?
  15. ^^ Yeah, I would bet that many of those who have the advantage of having I305 within a reasonable distance and visit the park often would have the opinion that the coaster is less exciting to them. I personally, cannot wait until I ride again in May or June. I could make the judgement of how this coaster ranks in the national nor world aspect, but regionally (Mid-Atlantic), It IS the BEST coaster none the less. Some may argue Apollo's Chariot, Nitro or El Toro may be better but I would disagree.
  16. I imagine that the New Texas Giant will have a similar element.
  17. When I went to CP last May during M&S week, Me and my other three friends shared a $79 a night bill at Breakers Express. Great Deal. I think On-site is well-worth the money!
  18. ^ It really depends on the movie... I saw Avatar in IMAX-3D and was blown away.... No other movie experience compares. But I would imagine some movies wouldn't be good on IMAX.
  19. TRON: LEGACY 4 out of 5 stars After its predecessor was unleashed in July of 1982, Tron: Legacy comes to the big screen after 28 years of uncertainty. It you have never seen the original cult hit, then this movie may be hard to keep up to start. Use the use of parallels and a script of character driven interaction mingling with fun computer animation action, T:L is a excited thrill ride! With the return of Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn and the newcomers Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde as Sam Flynn and Quorra, this movie stands as a tribute that bridges the 28 year in between. I recommend it to any audience. I should hope with word of mouth, this movie will be 2010's Avatar. Go see it, other than a few technical Tron-universe lingo, transition from real to "gird" world, and a slow moment half way through, it produces a highly-fun adventure that will make you want to see it again.
  20. ^ Agreed. The coaster is world-class. The is no other experience like it and you will be smiling when you hit that brake run!
