  1. Don't know how far this project will go. All I know is that I'm having a ton of fun building it. SFH Teaser.bmp Guess the Scenario!!
  2. This makes me want to whip out RCT3 again. Looks great!
  3. I can't believe everyone's using this!!! Thanks for using my styles, and I love the atmosphere you have. Great screens!
  4. coasterfreak, you know my thoughts on this screen. I love the feel you have going in there. Reviar, I love the ride, but I gotta admit, I'm not feeling your station. The supports seem too flimsy for a roof that size.
  5. Just pre-ordered AC:B yesterday!!! I can't wait another month for it!!! On another note, I've been playing Minecraft like crazy. I actually built a petting zoo inside my base today, only I can't pet them or they die... Really fun game, and well worth the 10 bucks.
  6. Thanks for the feedback, guys. I don't know when I'll get the next update up, but I will. Glad you guys like it, and thanks for all the comments!
  7. Something- The Beatles
  8. Maintain the quality, and I could see you netting at least a Bronze, if not Silver or Gold. Keep it up, I'm watching you.
  9. Yeah, I love the WWAP feel this park has to it. It was very refreshing, and is still very nice. Great job!
  10. Hey guys. Apparently I'm somewhat decent at making foliage in RCT2. I got a request to make a How To on foliage, and said what the heck. I will show you all of my tips and tricks, and hopefully you'll be able to pick some of it up. Well, here's the first update. Here are my main 3 rules, which might grow when I think of more of them. Until then, have fun! 1st Rule: Be diverse. You cannot achieve a full and colorful vein of foliage if you use the same tree over and over. This goes for trees and flowers. 2nd Rule: Explore your options. There are a lot of good objects included in the game that will look good if you know how to use them. Fiddle around with things until you get something you like. How do you think all of these methods were discovered? 3rd Rule: NEVER USE FULL TILE GARDENS!!! This is more of a preference thing, but the quarter-tile flowers do look better in almost every case than the full-tile variety. Listen to this especially when trying to make wild looking foliage. Full Tile Plants 1.bmp Here are the plants I commonly use when doing foliage. Notice that they occupy their tile more so than other plants. Hegde Cheats.bmp Here is my hedge cheat. Something I saw J K use in Dreamport, so I started using it. The idea is to use the Hedge Fence object or the Conifer Hedge object to create a more full look. You can mess around wiht it on slopes as well. Hole Cheats.bmp You can also lower the tile of a plant to create an entirely new looking plant. Here I've set it up by lowering the ground. Hole Cheats 2.bmp Here the plants are placed into their holes. Hedge+ Hole Cheats 1.bmp Here I've used some Hedge Walls to achieve a fuller look. Shrub Stacking Cheat.bmp Another little trick. I call it shrub stacking. The idea is pretty basic, but if executed well, can look very good. It can be used next to trees that don't fill their tile well to create a more complete look. Dirt Phase 1.bmp Here's the first example. I changed the ground type to dirt, since most trees don't just grow grass under them. Dirt Phase 2.bmp Now I've added some Dirt/Grass around the edges, so the ground doesn't go from Dirt to Grass, just like that. Tree Phase 19 (Tall).bmp Here I've added the taller trees onto the Dirt tiles. Tree Phase 2 (Short).bmp The smaller trees are added around the taller ones. Tree Phase 3 (Really Short).bmp Some even smaller trees have been added at this point. Shrub Phase 1.bmp The shrubs have been placed around the trees, creating a fuller look. Flower Phase 1.bmp The flowers have been added, now. They add some more color to the mix. Dirt Phase 2-1.bmp The second example. Here I've colored the ground with Dirt, Dirt/Grass, and added some rocks in there. Tree Phase 2-1 (Tall).bmp The taller trees have been added, again, on the Dirt tiles. Flower Phase 2-1.bmp The shrubs and flowers arrive for the first time now. Flower Phase 2-2.bmp More flowers have been added, to add even more color to the darker color of the trees. Hedge Cheat 2-1.bmp I've added some Hedges in with the trees, now. It covers up the Dirt ground, and makes the brush look much fuller than before. Planter Plants.bmp The next thing I want to cover are planters. These are my favorite objects to use when doing planters. Blank Path.bmp This path needs some sprucing up, doesn't it? Fence Path.bmp I've added some nice fences in the path to house our plants. Planted Planters.bmp I see planters in 2 ways, ones that look organized, and ones that don't. I call these Planted Planters. Random Planters.bmp This is the second way, which I call Random Planters. Nothing wrong with them, just a bit rougher looking.
  11. Hey guys. Inferno didn't win, sadly, but it was a great experience. I got to work with 2 incredibly skilled gentlemen, and had a blast working on this. Hopefully I'll win next time, which won't be too long. Thanks for following along, everybody, you're the main reason I finished this. Oh, should I make another topic for my next Design, or change the name of this thread into a place for all of my designs? Just curious what you guys thought. Well, enjoy it, it was a blast to build, and still a wonderful little park. http://www.nedesigns.com/index.php?showtopic=23085&park_id=1644
  12. Ready to Die-Andrew W.K. Thank you, Klotten Park update, for introducing me to this man.
  13. I've already seen most of these screens, but, ehh. Still very nice, if a bit bland, but it's Six Flags. You could probably send it to dmaxsba to merge, but ask him first. I like what's going on here, but you could use some other colors; pastels, browns, just experiment with things. Very nice start, I'll be watching.
  14. I pretty much agree with dmaxsba and Dj about this park. Great job so far!
  15. Nice additions to the resort, Mike. You've kept my interest to this point, so keep it up! If I were you, though, I would listen to Dotrobot about the land issue...
  16. Because 7 8 9... What if all of a sudden Gannendorf?
  17. I Get Wet- Andrew W.K. I have no idea how to classify this type of music. All I can come up with is High-Energy.
  18. I sold a bag of dog poop to my sis's friend for a dollar.
  19. I hope your father is ok, Scooter. I'm sorry to hear about this.
  20. Man, I wish I had the patience to make something like this. Maybe post an update on how to do something like this..?
  21. Not bad at all! The only thing I would really suggest is to vary the type of supports you use. Fight now, every support on the lift looks the same, and it's kind of an eyesore..
  22. I really like that woodie! Great job, you actually manage to pull off the cluttered look.
  23. What is Hip- Tower of Power
  24. Spirit in the Sky- Norman Greenbaum
  25. Welcome to TPR!!! Looks like a fine start to an older styled park. Love all the layouts, so great job there. I would only suggest making your foliage more like foliage, and by this, I mean add more shrubs!
