Realistically, I'd forsee Michigan's Adventure getting their first B&M in the next few years as opposed to getting an Intamin. -
A Cedar Fair RMC is so overdue. It's been confirmed over and over again that they don't have a contract with Six Flags only, but IDK what Cedar Fair is thinking not wanting to recruit them to rehab some woodies that NEED to be rehabbed badly. Ghostrider, Mean Streak, Grizzly at CGA, Hurler at King's Dominion, Mighty Canadian Minebuster or Wilde Beast, all of those woodies are just begging for I Box track.

1979 Around November of 1979, Richard Riverwood decided to make his large scale decade-long project for Riverwood Theme Park public.....The press release explains that for the upcoming decade, the 1980s, he plans to have at least one major park expansion, and one major zoo expansion built at the park. By the time the ten year plan is officially over by January 1st, 1990, Riverwood Theme Park should have three more major roller coasters built, three more major flat rides built, and at least one major expansion to Riverwood Zoo. Part of the major expansion, which might include a new coaster, must be planned to open in 1980, they COMPLETELY tore up the new Serpent pavillion they put in for the 1978 season! Stay tuned. -

So many people says it has no airtime whatsoever, but what I noticed riding Intimidator 232 is that it's filled with floater air while Fury 325 has three really big pops of ejector air. -

Anything but a b&m and ill be happy. Mav or toro or skyrush type of ride or all 3 and kd would be perfection Dude, stop. The next coaster is going to be a B&M whether you like it or not. No 1 would like it. I expect great things from KD Because no one likes Fury 325, or Thunderbird, or Diamondback, or Leviathan, right? *facepalm I just hope kd pushes the envelope yet again and goes all out on their next coaster. None of the above scream unique You really should try out Fury 325, it'll blow your mind. It actually made I305 my second favorite coaster. -

The park already has two awesome Intamins. Now it's time to even out the score. -

1979 The 1978 season was a great success for the park with the advent of a roller coaster that has an inverting element for RTP. The Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop model was still rather new for the following year, 1979, so it would make sense that it hasn't lost any novelty value! However, despite the fact that the thrill seekers gave the park new life, Richard Riverwood still felt bad about something...In 1972, he made the decision to tear down the park's only roller coaster for kids, the Mini Bobs due to it being a maintenance nightmare. Since then, there hasn't been any "kiddy" attractions at Riverwood Theme Park and he felt as if trying to attract the thrill seekers with Rotor and Serpent alienated the people that made RTP such a huge success to begin with, the families. How did he rectify the dilemma? By building a kiddy coaster, of course! New for 1979 is an E.F Miler children's roller coaster named "Junior Serpent" as a kids counterpart to the 1978 smash hit, Serpent. Now, let's be honest, it's a kiddy coaster. Nothing very exciting or impressive about it. The first hill is 20 feet tall, and it travels at a top speed of 8 miles per hour. It has two metal tunnels, but that's pretty much it. It's a coaster for little kids. However, I found this thing in particular to be really cool and somewhat ironic...Adjacent to Junior Serpent is the massive vertical loop of Serpent...Almost a looming warning to kids, "someday, you're going to be tall enough to ride the big, scary, looping coaster..." Judging from the massive plot of land cleared twoards labor day of 1979, it appears that Richard Riverwood is not resting on the laurels of the Serpent success.....he has something else in store for the park for the beginning of the new decade....now known as the "Decade of Decadence", the 1980s..... Not to give away too much....but not only will the 1980s be a decade of decadence for music, it will also be a decade of decadence for Riverwood Theme Park and Zoological Park... -

I see what you all mean....as much as some people hate them, Vekoma is still selling standard SLCs and Boomerangs to this day, albeit not in as high of frequency as they were doing back then. China is getting a few non-knockoff actual Vekoma Boomerangs and Energylandia in Poland is getting a brand new SLC. -
Ultimate Ride Coaster Deluxe memories

This all four of the "Build Mode" themes. -
For the first time in a while, I've decided to pop my old URCD cd rom into my old computer and relive some childhood nostalgia. The minute I started playing it, the memories just flooded back to me. URCD is by far, NOT the most realistic coaster building game ever...At times, it's flat-out ridiculous, but it has such a whimsical charm to it. The scenery props, I always found to be really cool at times. I was always partial to the steampunk "Crystal Empire" theme as a kid. The music for Build Mode is absolutely gorgeous, so ambient and calming...I loved them so much that to this day in RCT3, I took the music data from Ultimate Ride Coater Deluxe and imported it into RCT3 so I can listen to those themes while building my parks in that game. I was only able to complete a few of the imagineer missions, most of them still seem kind of confusing to me, especially missions like the fourth Steel Roller Coaster mission where you have to make the coaster pass through all the rings but you can't build anymore. I remember launching the missions and you are greeted to a calming motherly voice guiding you through what you have to do...Oh god, so much childhood nostalgia coming back Is there anyone on TPR that shares the same memories I had with this game?

Do you think that they would have evolved and become a better roller coaster manufacturer? Let me explain what I mean. Look at Zierier, they're mostly known for making the Tivioli kiddy coaster model that can be seen in parks all over the world. Then in the 2000s, they arrived on the big coaster scene with rides such as Wicked, Polar X-Plorer, Verbolten, and now Impulse, all of those coasters are ranked pretty high among enthusiasts. Another company that really evolved was Vekoma. They were at one point, infamous for making really rough, uncomfortable rides. Now they've made rides like Expedition Everest, Battlestar Galactaca, and the Seven Dwarves Mine Train. Do you think that if Pinfari didn't go belly up and survived into the 2000s and 2010s, would they have followed Zierier and Vekoma and evolved into a respected company in the roller coaster world? Would they have stopped manufacturing those old, rickety peices of crap and started making rides similar to Euro-Fighters and LSM launched coasters?

Shockwave as a sitdown coaster with lap bars would be a pretty decent small looping coaster. -

I can't stress what you said enough. Even on days where I305 has almost NO ONE waiting in the station and you can get double rides on Flight of Fear because you're one of the only people on the ride, Volcano for some reason can still have a 20+ minute wait. -

You get a lot of snaps on I305 too, but I distinctly remember that it unfortunatley caused some moments of headbanging on Maverick. Not too bad though. -

I personally really disagree with the notion that U.S coasters are "dumbed down", because if that's so, then there would be no way Skyrush, I305 and F325 would have been built. -

I'm just curious. . . But what makes you think a giant frisbee flat ride is coming to KD?? Huss is on its death bed, I would bet we wont see anything from Huss Meanwhile, they just released concept art for new rides... -
The strange part is, Falcon's Fury looks so damn cool and I'd ride it, after a good chunk of time of convincing myself to go on like I did with Mach Tower and Drop Zone at Carowinds.... I think I have a reason for that feeling, btw...I really don't think that the dropping anticipation is really fear, it's basically adrenaline in it's most primal and purest form and for some people, it's a little too much to handle.

Okay, Thunder Road at least has some local historical element to it, but Shockwave was manufactured by TOGO which makes any and all possible historical importance null and void. Maybe it'll get relocated to Holy Land USA, then we'll REALLY have "Mount Golgotha Express"
