  1. I think this was when I was there in 2006. My last ride at the park was the front seat on MF. I had a light colored shirt on and it had a nice collection of recently deceased bugs on it. They were swarming around the bottom of the first drop and, well, 90+ mph sort of did them in. I thought it was quite awesome, though others were less excited about my trophy shirt.
  2. What about gravy? Mmmmm... Gravy skin... *homerdrool*
  3. Okay, I emailed him. We need another petition to get him off of AOL mail, though. Seriously. It's 2011. Gmail, Hotmail, even Yahoo have more class.
  4. I'll admit I'm a Voyage fan. I also don't deny the fact that it is a very aggressive ride. In fact, after the first time I rode it in 2008, I described it as the most intense, unforgiving coaster I'd ever been on. My only trips to HW were for HWN. I think I like it for its variety of elements. The outgoing hills are good, the tunnels, the 90-degree banked turns, the underground triple-down and the station fly-by. I love the Raven and Legend as well. I love the fact that the Legend literally squeals on parts of the track. It's grown on me too, as at first I didn't really like it. I admit I don't have a lot of woodies under my belt, but, with few exceptions*, I find something to enjoy in all of them. *Mean Steak, Timber Wolf, The Boss
  5. I don't have a big list. Worlds of Fun 1. Screamroller/EXT (Arrow Corkscrew) - Was relocated to Taiwan but I think it's defunct now 2. Orient Express (Arrow, little brother to Loch Ness Monster) - Scrapped 3. Schussboomer (Schwarzkopf Wildcat) - Defunct 4. Zambezi Zinger (Schwarzkopf Speed Racer) - It's in Columbia now Knott's Berry Farm 1. Corkscrew - But I've ridden it at Silverwood!
  6. Did you guys build some Whatnots, Robb? I've, ahem, got four that I ordered through the FAO Schwarz website. I've got a lounge singer, Alfredo, his wife Fettuccina, reporter Sheldon Newsbury and a kid, Dieter.
  7. I saw I Am Number 4, also known as the latest incarnation of Michael Bay's Explosion, last night. It was a little slow to get going, but the special effects, and explosions, were enjoyable. It's basically your average boy meets girl, jock has dibs on girl, boy kicks jocks arse with special alien powers, alien monsters destroy school type of love story.
  8. Toad the Wet Sprocket currently, but that will probably change soon.
  9. Seriously? They are, or claim they are, running background checks? That's just nucking futs. This is the only coaster forum I visit, so I sadly miss all the drama. I'm not really much of a forum person anyway. Now, since you mentioned gravy in a previous post, I thought I'd share this. Sorry the volume is so low; it was recorded with an iPhone, not a nice Android phone. I give you Sheldon Newsbury.
  10. ^ Heh. I knew what you meant, but couldn't resist. Plus, it was a rather funny implication that whoever wore lime green should be considered a thing instead of a person.
  11. This sentence is six words long.
  12. Hopefully Robb won't be adding watermarks to the Club TPR signature banners.
  13. Hanno, stay away from my Flickr stream. My cheesy phone photography might send you over the edge.
  14. I'm not a fan of the yellow border, but I love the new tagline.
  15. Heh. Sounds like something I would do, but it wasn't me. Though, I will definitely have to do it this year.
  16. Worlds of Fun - 10 minutes-ish, depending on the red light that never seems to change and idiot drivers.
  17. Wow! I step out for a bit and miss a purge. And as for you, ILoveRides, you'll rue the day. You could gave at least thrown Short in.
  18. The past few years I've done strange things with a tree outside work for Earth Day. I've hugged it. Threatened it with a little saw. And this past year I proposed to it. With a ring in a box and everything. And of course there are pics.
  19. Yeah, I still get a chuckle out of it, too. It was just a pain to slice out the letters to create the new words. EDIT: If anyone doesn't know, the last frame is Prowler at Worlds of Fun. Robb said riding it was a religious experience. Plus I thought using it would just make the silliness more stupid.
  20. The rain in Spain does, in fact, fall mainly on the plain. No, not the Amish, silly.
  21. THE MICHAELS JACKSON RETURNS FROM THE GRAVE TO MAKE BENEFIT MOONWALK FOR SAVING BIG DIPPING COASTER.
