  1. Robb, sounds like we need a best use of a Big Dipper Coaster set contest.
  2. I'm pretty sure I rode Boomerang at Worlds of Fun by myself once. I screamed really loud going through the station.
  3. I LOLd out loud. Perhaps you can roll them on the coast?
  4. If it is ticking, and it's a bomb rather than an alarm clock, you can cut the red wire to diffuse it. DO NOT CUT THE BLUE WIRE!
  5. So we've deduced that the package is made of wood, is lighter than a duck, and is therefore a witch. Does that mean Prince Desmond is on his way to becoming a newt? And I'm just not in the photoshopping mood to do that one.
  6. So do ducks and very small rocks.
  7. Could it be that they are shipping the ashes?
  8. "You can never go home again, Oatman... but I guess you can shop there." Martin Blank, Grosse Point Blank On a previous blog, I had a category for this. When I watched a movie, I'd make a note of any quotes I liked. They were usually something obscure.
  9. Assless chaps. Like David Lee Roth used to wear. Guy "Count me in!" Koepp As long as you wear pants.
  10. I hope the price includes a cowboy hat and chaps!
  11. Robb, I think this announcement is having the same effect as a case of Viagra.
  12. I am so there! Plane ticket purchased. Thanks, Elissa, that would be great.
  13. I'm thinking Rick Rolling the riders would be more appropriate. "Never gonna give, never gonna give..."
  14. I take it you're not familiar with the whole Prince Desmond thing? Search the forum for enlightenment.
  15. It seems these always come in waves. There's this story, then the one about the kiddie train.
  16. LAX to Lagos, Nigeria, is between $985 and $10,883! How many bags will you be checking?
  17. I am unable to contain my excitement. It's like a case of Viagra has exploded in my pants.
  18. Paula could answer that best. I've only been there for HoliWood Nights the past three years and they only had two running. They've got loading down to a science and two work great with the way they do things. Actually, I think I may have asked Will about that one time and he said three trains didn't really help with throughput. The third train would just keep people waiting in the brake run. Plus, with two trains, they don't need to use the brake at the end of the turn around before the triple-down.
  19. I was in line for Mamba at Worlds of Fun, and some kids were sure that they couldn't run all three trains. They'd run into each other, you know. I just told them they can run all three with no problems. No need to go into block systems and all. I suppose this goes on at every park when multiple trains are running on a coaster. They can't have more than one!!! They'll crash!!! If I remember right, I think the Orient Express even had three-train operation, but that was rare. Two-train operation with a slow load meant a nice sudden stop at the break run before the station. Yeah, that was fun.
  20. ACK! Double post.
  21. I can pat my head and rub my belly at the same time... I can juggle a bit, standard three ball fare, and one-handed with two balls. KC "I can't wait to see where that statement goes" Steve
  22. Right here: http://www.bumwine.com/md2020.html Why do I know about MD 20/20?
  23. I just hope people don't figure out what the crop function is for!
  24. I'm from Lincoln, Nebraska, and we never went to Adventureland when I was a kid. The first time was a few years ago with a friend. I'm in Kansas City now. I agree, Dragon is a less than pleasant ride experience. To change subjects briefly, on one of our rides on Tornado, I came so far out of my seat I was grasping at clouds. I can't imagine that coaster before seat belts. I'd probably go with Mean Streak as others have. My first time there was the mid 90s, but I don't remember my ride on it, and it was just a few years old then. I rode it once the last time I was there, just because I like to hit all the coasters. It would be nice if it could be fixed. Still, they could build a new coaster inside it. There appears to be enough room. And I can't believe Elissa suggested Prowler. Robb/Elissa, were you guys there for media day the Friday before the park opened for the season?
  25. Really? I'm an Aquarius. /ihadtodothat You should enjoy this, then. Lunar perigee: 'Supermoon' may cause weather chaos on Earth next week
