http://www.facebook.com/pages/North-Hollywood-CA/Goddard-Group/237234629332?v=wall I am really loving how this is looking so far. The coaster line up looks like it could be really good with the huge woodie, the hyper in the back, the dive machine, the Revolution Turbo coaster and what appears to be a Mack water coaster.

^ Those are somewhat rigged. While he will fall if you hit the circle right in the center, the person in the cage can make themselves fall by pulling a string in front of them thats supposed to be hidden by one of the supports. The clown at my local fair didn't do a very good job of keeping it a secret.

I think Europe fairs have better rides than most of our parks do! The inverted mouse is just all kinds of weird, Devil Rock just looks insane, and I cant even imagine getting airtime on a Monster! I really do have to get to a Europe fair before I die, to experience how rides should be run!

I can't wait to go to SFTSL, hopefully next year. It really does look like one of the better Six Flags parks. Can't wait to see the pics from the rest of your trip! -
Wow...this makes America look like a pile of crap. I really wish we had a train system like Europe, it would be really helpful and better than having everyone driving cars around. And is that statue holding a chicken wing?!

Shouldn't we wait until we actually ride something with Timberlines before saying coasters need them... -

Website says Hellcat, brochures and park signs say Avalanche. It's really Hellcat, the signs and brochures need to be updated. When I rode Hades at the end of last month it was running great, but it really is a front row ride. Hopefully they'll do more retracking soon to help bring it back to what it used to be. -
What can I say besides TPR Day was just amazing? It was great to get the first rides on Superman because it almost always has a long wait. The lunch and Q&A with management was both funny and very interesting. Some of the answers given defiantly surprised me and others were very informative. Next up was the backstage tour where I spent every other second taking a picture. I was kind of surprised at how much stuff is actually kept instead of just being scrapped. After looking at the park boneyard and landscaping department we went back in the park through the employee entrance and were lead back between Raging Bull and American Eagle which provided some great photo ops. Finally we were taken in between Viper and Hurricane Harbor for even more great photo ops and some water (much appreciated!) Now the original plan was to have ERT on Little Dipper started at 8. But before it started the rain rolled in and lightning came with it so the ride had to close. Unfortunately the rain just started coming down harder and harder. So what was there to do with no rides open? Party under the bridge of course! I think the rain was actually a blessing in disguise because ERT probably wouldn't have been as fun as the bridge party! In the end it seems as if everyone forgot about the ERT and cheered on the storm that we were right in the middle of as Robb showed us on his phone. Then came the bad news...the bridge party was coming to an end...but good news came with it...the weather cleared up and Viper and Bull ERT was on! And thanks to the soaking wet track they were running great, and the crews were amazing and very enthusiastic. Just being able to ride Viper so many times with out leaving the station made the day great. Overall it was a just amazing day in every way and I can't thank Robb & Elissa and everyone else who made this day possible enough. Now enough talking, onto the pictures! Gotta love those flumes! There is a train there...it's just hiding Sexy silhouette? Somethings missing... Better...but not quite right... Thats it! or so we had thought. LD's queue provides great views of Batman See? Oh yeah..cool views of Dipper too! Fiddler had the craziest ride op I have ever seen. The salads a bit bare today... We got some really good views of Superman Wee? Rare sighting of Jo being nerdy teehee Where rapids cars come to die... WTF is that! Sky Whirl Even Im too tall for this...well maybe not This is a normal thing to have laying around I belive they said they grow all the plants but the palm springs onsite Wonder where this used to be... Hmmm are those what I think they are? Yep! It's the Lady Bug cars! I used to love that ride. Yep...I took a picture of everything Sexy Curves I knew we forgot to ride something... Double Down <3 And so the party begins Acceptable amount of wetness? God I loved ERT And to end this report, heres Nathan...just being Nathan. Thanks for reading!

Look at all the empty rows...thats a lot of dead gay babies! Seriously though, I had an amazing day and even when the weather turned for the worst you still found a way to make it insanely fun! Thank you so much for all the work put into making the day a success, I had an absolute great time and I can't wait for my next TPR event! -
The Screaming Swing is an upcharge, it's $10 for the first ride and $5 for the second. If you ride during the day you can have your second ride whenever you want because they have your video from it, but at night they turn off the cameras and you have to have your second ride right after your first, at least thats what they made me do. NaTP is a separate ticket and wristband. If you have a day pass you might be able to stay in the park but you won't be able to get on any rides. To be able to ride anything you have to buy the wristband which is $10 online and $22 at the gate. Parking is free for NaTP (normally $5, but you can leave and come back in without having to pay again) and three coasters, three go-karts, three kiddie rides, and the wave pool are open.

Concept Ride: Devil's Flight
deathbydinn replied to weetopia2's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I like the idea, except of the people falling out thing, I dont think many parks would go for that. This seems like something that would work best indoors, or at least partially in closed to keep the fake front car more of a secret, which would make it scarier and seem more real for the riders. Another thing is maybe the first spike could be taller then it needs to be so it seems like the train breaks midway up? -

IMO, I think the "Biq" looks really bad. It would look better just spelled right as "Big" -

WI State Fair Comet II - August 7 2010 Last Saturday I went to the WI State Fair with Grffin (GriffyTiffy) Nathan (kumba830) and Ryan (Mr._Starr). The fairs main attraction this year was the Schwarzkopf Wildcat, named Comet II. Here are two videos I shot of it. This was my attempt to do more of an "artsy" off ride by showing one area that the car passes multiple times. Debuting this year at the WI State Fair is the Comet II. This Schwarzkopf Wildcat is America's largest traveling roller coaster, and the WI State Fair is one of just two stops this year. The ride opened at La Ronde in 1967 under the name Montagnes Russes. It then moved to Old Indiana Fun - n - Water park and then it's last permanent home, the State Fair of Texas where it was renamed Comet II, most likely named after the parks wooden coaster Comet, which closed ten years before Comet IIs arrival. It operated there until 2001. Length - 1837' Height - 50' Speed - 40 mph Heres a bonus picture of the DW after it couldn't quite make it all the way into the station due to all the weight in the back. Maybe next time the ride op wont tell us to double up!

^ You've only said that about a thousand times now. SDC really does look amazing. I think it just needs a woodie to be complete. Not that it's current state is awesome though. It's the little details that really make it stand out to me. Can't wait for the next update!
