^Everything I've ever heard about Chaos rides is that they are giant heaps of doo doo. In fact, a park I once worked at was looking into getting a new ride. Upon hearing that a Chaos ride was up for sale, the operations manager inquired about the ride to the general manager. The GM's response, "Hell no I'm not buying one of those pieces of sh*t." True story. They can't disappear soon enough. -

I still haven't received a confirmation e-mail. Maybe I should re-submit my ballot. -
Riders per Hour

^I mean it made a difference sometimes, but there were so many times when I would hear about the single rider line still being a 45 minute wait on Saturday nights. It definitely depends on the ride, but at least in my experiences, single rider lines haven't made more than a few minutes difference most times. -

^^Honestly, a single rider line makes an absolute minimal amount of difference in wait times. And more often than not, you need consistently long lines at an attraction to justify a single rider line. Then you need to staff an extra person to work the single rider line. And then you have to deal with the flood of complaints that result from the single rider line. When you think about it, most groups that go to amusement parks go in even numbers, just for convenience's sake. Every so often, you'll get a group of three people which will open an extra seat up, but when you line up a ton of single riders in that line, the wait doesn't get any shorter. When I would go ride Intimidator by myself on my off time, I would stand in the regular line and typically ride twice before anyone in the single rider line would ride once. -

^^500 was basically the upper limit, and that was usually 23-25 cycles. As far as the ride assimilating phones, I can't even describe the number of phones/wallets/keys/whatever that I found while working there. So you weren't the only one! -

The theoretical riders per hour for Nighthawk is 1000. In all the time I operated it, I think we got over 500 a handful of times, and we had a damn good crew. I can't even fathom any situation when that ride could even sniff 1000 riders in an hour. On the other hand, Intimidator actually exceeded its theoretical 1600 riders per hour on more than one occasion this year (also a damn good crew). I think their best was something like 1690. -
^I'm usually in the back right seat, maybe that's the difference? It was the same two weeks ago as it was back in October, so I'm not sure why nobody else feels it. I sure as hell know I did, I had the headaches to prove it! However, the awesomeness that is the first half of the ride in the back right seat (especially the zero-g roll) far outweighs the crappiness of the entrance into that first corkscrew, so I still subject myself to it.

^Knoebels was just a wonderful place to be. Kinda wish the day I was there wasn't as humid as the Amazon and crowded, might have stayed longer. And yes, Phoenix and the bumper cars were worth the price of admission alone. -
What was even the shelf life of a brand new CCI with Gerstlauer trains? You hear about so many of them getting brutally rough within 5 years of operation. That's just ludicrous! It's not like CCIs with PTC trains have fared that much better, but still. Those G-trains are disasters on wheels. The only CCI with G-trains that I've ridden that didn't beat me to hell and back was Boss, and I'm pretty sure I rode that on its best operating day of the season in '09. Even then, it wasn't a very comfortable ride, just bearable.

^^Yeah, I tell friends about El Toro and they're like, "uh, ok." But I tell them I've ridden Kingda Ka and they're like "OMFG YOU HAVE?!?!?!?! WHAT'S IT LIKE?!?!?!?!" And then they look at me like I'm a f***ing lunatic when I tell them I'm not a big fan of the ride. -

Really doesn't look like anything more than a standard floorless. I still want to see someone take on the 4D concept the way Arrow developed it and make improvements on it (even though I think X2 is a hell of a good ride, it obviously has its issues). -

I tried it on the Carowinds Hurler on a few occasions this past season, and even that was semi-bearable. The only really bad part was the first drop, and after that it wasn't bad at all. -

I always like when people ask if you can make the ride go faster on the next cycle. Usually my response is "YEAH!" and I just start pushing an imaginary button on the control panel. -

I for one love the new option to complete your ballot as a spreadsheet. It's made the process a TON more convenient and easier.
