  1. Space Shuttle America marks SFoT's second simulator attraction, transporting guests to the endless depths of outer space. More Flags! More Fun! Six Flags!
  2. I suggest placing land textures under your paths, would look much better than grass underneath. Also, your work is getting to the point that it almost always looks the same, using the same path and wall textures everywhere. I understand that this is a chain and the parks will resemble each other, but you need to expand away from this a bit.
  3. Part II of our update continues along Hollywood Blvd., bringing us to our premier family attraction: Marvin the Martin : 3D. Because of our partnership with Time Warner, Six Flags over Texas was able to incorporate many of the same rides from Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia. While we can't give away everything, we can tell you that these attractions will not disappoint! Among these is Marvin the Martian : 3D, the only ride of it's kind at a Six Flags park. Here it is located within an authentic recreation of the famous Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also in the area is one of the park's many Panda Express restaurants, this one being Panda Express To-Go, serving up quick snacks such as rice and egg rolls. We hope to see you soon at Six Flags over Texas. More Flags! More Fun! Six Flags!
  4. Because of Six Flags over Texas' unique partnership with Time Warner, the park features much more intense theming than many others in the chain. Along with the opening of Batman : The Ride in 1999, the new Warner Bros. Backlot area welcomed guests to a unique look at the magic of Hollywood. Combining authentic architecture with intense thrills, the Backlot is one of the premier areas in the park. The Brown Derby is just one of many locations guests can enjoy the atmosphere of Tinseltown, eating gourmet food or looking for their favorite stars along the street.
  5. Yeah, you'll find that I use that sign a lot int he park, Six Flags just always seem to use that style in their logos. Seemed to fit well. Thanks for the comments everybody.
  6. Welcome to Six Flags over Texas, one of the premier Six Flags parks in the nation! At Six Flags, the entire family can have a great time, with gentle rides, such as the authentic steam engines rolling through the park... ..to the fast paced, raging waters of Rip, Roaring Rapids and Bronco, our unique Half-Pipe coaster. Six Flags offers more than just rides however, as one can stroll through Spain, one of the park's many beautifully themed areas. New in 2009, Bizarro offers some of the park's best thrills, combining audio, fog, and fire effects to it's twisted, inverting layout. Come fly with Batman as he takes on The Joker and Two-Face on The Dark Knight Coaster, new in 2008. More Flags! More Fun! Six Flags!
  7. Dude, submit it to New Element! You could totally take an accolade with that.
  8. Decided to give the SFoT scenario a bit of a face-lift, combing current trends with my own ideas. comments/criticism welcome.
  9. Well I'd imagine that with the large expansion opening only a year ago SFA would lie low for a year or so..?
  10. Tahendo Zoo Partners with Gatorland, U.S.A TAHENDO, [insert state here], August 4, 2010 - Today, Tahendo Zoo and Gatorland, U.S.A have begun a partnership which allows Tahendo to receive various crocodilians from the alligator farm. In return, Gatorland, U.S.A of Savannah, GA will receive royalties from the loan, as well as funding for the extensive animal breeding programs already in place. Tahendo hopes that the partnership will ensure a greater awareness for the animals as well as a much needed boost in revenue at both locations. Gatorland, U.S.A is the largest alligator farm in the state of Georgia, and the oldest in the Southeast Tahendo Zoo and Gatorland have worked together in the past, exchanging design work for the waterfowl exhibit at Gatorland and sponsorship for the "Land Down Under" temporary exhibit at the zoo. Tahendo plans to develop a permanent exhibit housing the animals in the near future. Unlike most other farms, Gatorland features a large wooden roller coaster, thrilling riders since the 1920's Officials state that this is just "step 1" for the development of the area, which only consists of the "Boomerang" roller coaster and small animal exhibits. --------- Tahendo Zoo, come see why everyone's calling it "the #1 zoo in the World!"
  11. Well did he mean the train stays on the outside of the track or inside? I'm looking at it as if the train does some sort of dive loop-like maneuver into the loop, so the train is still on the inside.
  12. Welcome to Galaxyland! gl1.bmp
  13. It could be numerous things, such as the way that we both build a boomerang. As you can see in my version, it's rather compact, without an added piece of track in the cobra, which I've seen many people due. Also, the train has one more extra car than the station allows (was hacked by geewhzz), and so that may have something to do with it, though I'm not entirely sure on that.
  14. Ah, I actually forgot to say that the six flags park from forever ago (not SFMM) was dropped due to poor planning, so I'll just go ahead and release it here. Note, the park was also made with RCTModifiied, so the entrances will be all over the place on certain rides, though from now on my park wills have the entrance huts unseen. unfinished six flags_nin.zip
  15. UNIVERSAL CITY, CA (May 31, 2010) - Today, Universal Studios announces the largest expansion ever to their Hollywood property, such an expansion that it will completely change the Studios to become "Universal Studios Escape, Hollywood". It has been stated that this is no new ride or attraction, but an expansion to the entire property. A new theme park, "Islands of Adventure Hollywood", will provide various new themed lands and attractions, such as Iron Man, a high speed roller coaster bringing riders on an epic journey through the skies, and Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, an upgrade to the already widely popular Jurassic Park ride located at the Studios property. SCR55.BMP ioah1.bmp Along with the new theme park, the property will become a multi-day resort complete with a new on-site hotel, Hard Rock Hotel Hollywood. Combining elegant style with rock and roll, Hard Rock Hotel will provide a fantastic stay for on-site visitors. Along with the new hotel will be "The Boulevard", an extension to the property's widely popular entertainment district, Universal Citywalk. SCR56.BMP Finally, the extension with include new production facilities as well as state-of-the-art attraction in a new backlot extension, entitled "The Lot". Not much is known about this yet, but Universal has stated that along with refurbishing multiple sets, that this expansion will include various attractions unseen at the Hollywood property, including the first multi-sensory ride-of-its-kind on the West coast. Details to follow.
  16. Just saw this and wow, looks to be rather intriguing. Looking forward to seeing more!
  17. Fooz is back?! Or just showing the same stuff that's posted over at NE?
  18. Is DD currently open? I thought it was under refurb?
  19. Yes, that one is best, though it's age has finally caught up with it. While it's the most accurate, it no longer is very aesthetically pleasing compared to parks being released today.
  20. Yeah, I'm sorry but there really hasn't been a rec. that really captures SFOG rightfully. Many of the recs I've seen just seemed rushed and have poor layouts and are way too spaced out.
  21. I'm sorry but there was a ride playing music..? And it was a simulator! Glad you liked the park though, many of the details that reminded you of stuff like bells, bonsai trees, etc. were actually meant to represent such things, so glad I accomplished that.Glad you like the park, hopefully there will be more to come!
  22. This is one of my most favorite projects done by SF ever, I absolutely cannot wait for this.
  23. Yeah if you're wanting to add in more B&M's like the Flyers and Diving coasters than al the dat names start with BM and just end with whatever type of coaster it is, pretty self explanatory once you find them. Cool to see that you added a terrain based woodie, I had been thinking of doing the same with my SFMM but more of an RCCA type deal, something somewhat reminiscent of Rattler or Magnus Colossus. (In the end I figured that two huge woodies were enough for one park, though I may eventually add in a GCII) One thing on the CCI screen, please improve the foliage! The main advice I have to tell you here is too create foliage, not filler. Yes, I understand that the primary purpose here is to cover up the mountainside, but to create the best atmosphere possible, create a style of foliage that will be both be clean and look natural. I'm not telling you to spend hours trying to perfect each little bit added, but just spend a bit of time trying out different techniques and styles with it. If you look at many of my projects shown from my SFMM to my most recent release, the foliage always looks very similar, though each park has it's own mix. I've created a certain style that looks good and blends well into each park I use it in. Now, moving on to the Samur- er, Mount Sifu screens... At first they look really good, it seems that you're really like the pagoda style archy as it appears that you've spent a good bit on the archy. Though maybe look at real life examples a bit more? Do more research to try and capture the details that the real life counterparts have. For examples, your buildings are using many wooden textures when in reality this doesn't happen. It's more window based, so those stereotypical Asian-styled windows/walls you always see in movies and pics and such? Yeah, they'd do wonders here rather than what those blank walls are doing. For a bit of rct reference, maybe look at my Samurai Summit mini park that I posted here? Al in all it's looking pretty good, though it does seem to be lacking the SF atmosphere with every update. Remember that if you're really staying true to the original concept that this is still a Six Flags park, so try to keep the atmosphere of one stay. Also, if you ever need help with this than let me know haha, I may be able to whip something up for it!
  24. Hey guys, here's a recent park that I completed for a monthly contest over at NE. The objective each month is to create the best mini, no bigger that 20x20. I chose to make a ncso park, Asian themed. I primarily made this to showcase a temple and highlight on architecture and atmosphere, so sorry for the lack of a coaster. And no, this isn't based off SFMM... Samurai Summit - nin.zip Enjoy!
