  1. Awesome theming, looks like a fun ride. Great report EB.
  2. To hell with Infinity, I want the Tsum Tsum game! Godzilla is awesome! Japan is awesome! My life sucks! Carry on.
  3. My kids would love this! Of course, around here everything would be broken and stolen, but I like the concept.
  4. Thanks for all the replies, really glad this parks new coaster is getting some attention. Has anyone actually gotten the credit yet, or is everyone waiting for West Coast Bash?
  5. Wow, this coaster went up fast! A litte over Six month after construction started Adventure City has opened their new Gerstlauer family shuttle coaster Rewind Racers. This replaces Tree Top Racers which was removed awhile back. Now, I felt like this deserved it's own topic, but if you want all of the info from start to finish of construction check here www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63578&start=100 tons of pictures! In any case REWIND RACERS IS OPEN! Grab your kids and head to Adventure City! Okay, media day was awesome! Very well organized, with a personal touch from a family owned and operated park. There was food, including freshly made caramel apples and popcorn, a nice touch to put you in that theme pak mood. Then the ribbon cutting ceremony overseen by the Mayor of Stanton. Now, Adventure city is on the boarder of Anaheim and Stanton, the driveway is Anaheim, but the park is in Stanton. Anyhow, the mayor, city coucil members, community devlopers, all turned out for the opening of this new coaster. Which, it's great to see them get behind this little park and recognize that it is a valuable part of the community. Allan Ansdell, park president spoke about the park celebrating 20 years in operation (opened in1994), and his families dedicatoin to the park, and this being the parks largest investment. Also, the fact that this is the first coaster of it's kind in North America (A custom design as well.) The Mayor made a proclamation, in short he said Adventure City is good for the community, etc., etc.., handshake and...CUT THE RIBBON! Yay! The coaster is actually pretty awesome, I would have loved for this to have been around when my kids were younger and chomping at the bit to ride something bigger than a little dipper. It fills that gap between kiddie coaster and adult coaster nicely. Lots of fun, and backwards was great! I really wouldn't mind taking my kids and marathoning this thing, it's that much fun. So, Adventure City, just down the street from Knott's Berry Farm, open daily thru August, then weekends the rest of the year (check the website www.adventurecity.com). One more thing, take a kid, enjoy the park, it's much more than just a credit stop, especially if you have kids. Decent food, shows, petting zoo, nice selection of rides (most kiddie sized), excellent theming and landscaping...just a great little park, and if you love theme parks this is one you need to visit. And, of course there are TWO big credits and don't miss the mini drop tower. And, pictures... A special table? For me? What could be the occasion? Start your engines! Popcorn! Sweets for the sweet, but I got some too. None of these were The Broodwich. Fresh carmel apples! Fueling up for the ribbon cutting. Normally you need shoe mirrors to get this shot. Ride not even open yet and kids are already showing up to ride! Waiting for it's official debut. Remember these stickers? Themed trash cans, awesome! Somehow this blue ribbon shorts out the entire ride system and it won't operate until it's cut, or something. That sandwich was good! Allan, Mayor Ethans, family and city cousel members. Alan Ansdell, practically built it with his own hands...and a few other guys. Seriously, very small crew worked their butts off to build this. Calling up the family to for the ribbon ceremony. The mayor proclaimed something, basically Adventure City and Rewind Racers are good for the community. Adventure City is a safe, family park, no one was allowed to run with those giant scissors. Ribbons cut...YEAH! Waiting for first riders. Finally got some shots of the station from inside! Trains are cool, lots of room. Cool flat screem monitors inside the station with a little pre-show. First train goes forwards... ...first train comes back. That's right dog, it's really open now! Great little coaster! I think they are going forward, possibly backwards. Backwards in this section is pretty awesome. Hands up! 4 years and 39 inches accompanied by and adult, or 6 years and 48 inches. The evil ribbon that kept me from riding for so long. Mean old ribbon! It ran constantly during the event, you don't have to be a kid to like this coaster, but bring your kids with you. Totally a dueling coaster! Overhead! Thanks for racing...or looking...whatever...thanks! So, there you have it, Rewind Racers media day! The most anticipated new credit in Southern California (for 4 year olds)! Great park, great coaster, check it out! Thanks to Allan and everyone at Aventure City for putting up with me and my camera for the past six month, and the media day was awesome! Thanks for looking, leave a comment!

  7. Again, it really is an awesome coaster and I would encourage everybody to go check it out.
  8. Short Twisted Colossus video. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=exp_qud3[/coastertube]
  9. So, for like the past week I've been asked over, and over, and over again..."How is it?" My response has been "I haven't ridden it yet.". "Wait, I saw [whoever] put up a report, they rode it before you?!!" "Didn't you get the commercial shoot?!!" NO! I did not get to ride it early AT ALL! Once I realized I wasn't going to ride early, or be a first rider, I was fine because I was going to media day. In my head "I'll ride it a bunch of times after the rider cam!" Um, I got ONE ride...ONE...which wouldn't be too bad, but it took five hours of standing in line, in the same spot, with people saying "You're next.". I actually was supposed to be on the first official train, but I was like "How can I take pictures of the opening ceremony and ride on the "first" train?". Really, I had told them that I was going to do the media stuff, and might not be able to do the marathon rider thing. Which actually I'm glad I chose to take pictures, because it's pretty much all the pictures that I got since I was unable to do anything besides stand in line for five hours. "You're next." The most amusing part was when they gave me a time and then apparently went to lunch...wonderful! By the time I got to do rider cam, the queue was empty, a few other media people had thrown in the towel and left, some left in preference for Disney media. I was like one of the last maybe 5 people, if even that. Did I mention I brought my daughter? You know, she just loves to stand in line for five hours and miss lunch because we were told to be there during lunch time. Anyways, one ride, RMC is amazing! Six Flags may have treated me like crap, but Twisted Colossus was amazing! Equally as good as Medusa, not as intense, but more elements and a longer ride. I might give Outlaw Run the edge as my favorite RMC, but still this will go right into my top ten. Okay, very few pictures, I missed the KWERK show preview, Scream, street performers, pretty much everything..."You're next.". So, here is the report, officially retiring from SFMM media crap, here's some pictures, oh and...you're next! Yeah, right. Thank you! You'll be next, we promise! Some of these guys who beat on things that weren't designed to beat on. These walls will finally be gone soon! My Colossus Marathon support person. Seriously, ride next to that for 36 hours! I'm scarred for life. Scream Punk District is now open for all your screaming and punking needs. Is it "Go for the jugular." or "Go for the juggler."? One of those two. Umbrellas, umbrellas everywhere and not a drop of rain. Um, yeah I don't know what that is. Should have just gave us vouchers for sandwiches. I mean, if you have a new sandwich shop... Ceremony begins. Something amazing is going to shoot out of that hole soon! The doctor said the same thing when my wife gave birth. The guys who built it the first time. Switch is thrown, wonder what that means? Oh yeah, "first" train goes up. If it was really first I would have rode. Yes! Boom! After that Twisted Colossus fly by they look like they need a cigarette. Seriously, don't smoke. For the confetti enthusiasts. That! Oh the humanity... Theming with tophats. Born again? Did Colossus find Je...nevermind. I seriously need one of those rims for my bike. For the punk birds I guess. My partner for rider cam. So excited at 10am (our ride time), not so happy at after 3pm (when we actually rod). But, don't worry the radio station got their ride first, because you know how you can see video over the radio. Actual view of the train during our new rider time. Notice nobody is there. Wonderful. So, there you have it. Despite my terrible experience, Twisted Colossus is awesome! Go ride it! Make plans for West Coast Bash! RMC has another great coaster. Thanks for looking, leave a comment. You're next, I promise.
  10. Sounds right, I head June-ish. Should soft open before then though.
  11. I know it's not opened yet. I have inquired, but have not heard back. Looks complete though.
  12. Looks like a decent event, I need to make the trip over...or is that under?
  13. Thanks for all the replies! Seriously, I've got to hand it to SFMM for really going all out on this project, and of course RMC is seriously kicking A$$! I really had a dilemma deciding whether to go home and post the pictures, or stay for testing. Of course, I chose the report, so it is good to see that it's getting some views.
  14. Okay, final set of pictures from the station. Trains! Control panel porn. No, that's not Wonder Woman, that's Connie. She did however save us with bottle of cold water. Pretty sure this gets filled with nachos. Even the trees are twisted! If you know where to stand. Well, there you have it. Thanks for looking, hope to see you on Twisted Colossus next month! Leave a comment!
  15. It's wierd editing pictures and seeing all these angles that just CAN'T be right, but then you check the horizon line and those crazy twists are really there! It was said that it runs so smooth that you can hardly hear it until it's right on top of you...awesome!
  16. And still more pictures! Couldn't decide if this was theming or a snack. Theming! Of course they took us to the station as well, pictures coming...
  17. Okay, FINAL hard hat tour before next months opening, yes it will opening May 23rd! Great news, and with a train being tested yesterday and plans for more tests after hours starting tonight theres no reason to think they won't hit their mark. So first off a few pictures of the Scream Punk District and then onto Twisted Colossus! Here ya go... Here to see progress on this! I see you in there. Glad these aren't the real trains. Not a selfie stick! Fresh paint, looking good! If you had any doubts about the paint on Scream...IT'S AWESOME! Geared toward coaster fans...HA! Cause they are gears! Really like the wood panels. Lighting. Scream Punk landscaping. This is all theming, pretty cool. Poopers getting a makeover. Shut up and have a sandwich! Up stairs for Twisted 'Wiches, down stairs for Twisted Colossus. Very useful. Sign of the times...HA! Casue they're signs! Okay, there's the Scream Punk District. Looks like they actually put some thought into it. Up next...TWISTED COLOSSUS!!!
  18. Looks like it could be the best coaster in Arizona.
  19. Posted a video to TPR's Facebook page yesterday. I'll try to get one up here, but my Internet connection has been pretty worthless as of late. Didn't get a chance to ask about an opening date, kind of walked me over and went back to testing. But other than details the coaster is pretty complete.
  20. Well, after Mexico what does one do? You go check on Rewind Racers! Headed over to Adventure City and saw the train making it's way up the lift...YAY TESTING! Since the walls have gone up on one side of the park I can't get shots from the street anymore. So, in I went and they were nice enough to let me inside to get some pictures. Lots of work has been done, landscaping, fences, concrete, etc.. There is some work being done to finish the station, but at this point it's pretty much complete except for a few details. And pictures... Coaster is testing! All the way up! Block wall and entry way. Nice fence has gone up. Exit down the ramp, enter up the stairs. Pretty sure that's how it works. Nice blue fence and landscaping going on. Six Flags could really learn from these guys! Water wise plants, very nice. And there you go, a real life operating roller coaster! Can't wait to ride it! Hopefully the next report will be from the front seat. Thanks for looking, leave a comment!
  21. Glad I'm not vegan, the food is awesome! Gator bites for the win!
  22. Great report, the only thing you forgot to do was lick the track.
