Alton Towers Discussion Thread
BEAMER3K replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They should do something like that in the U.S.!!!! My idea, take a hand full of Victoria's Secret models, or all of them and give them the whole day at SFMM to test their lingerie on SFMM's coasters!!! I'd like to see what happens on Tatsu!!! -
What is your favorite genre of music?
BEAMER3K replied to SonOfBeastSucks's topic in Random, Random, Random
Heavy Metal and all the included sub-genres of it. next is rock & roll, classic rock and NWOBHM stuff... -
This is a pretty simple game... You list 2 or 3 coasters. Example: (Coaster A VS. Coaster B) The next poster chooses which coaster they think is better, whether or not they've been on it. You may factor other things into your decision, like make and model of coaster, wood or steel, height, speed, inversions or not, type (sit down or inverted), etc. Then that person goes next. No unfair match-ups please, like a kiddie coaster vs. a hyper coaster. It has to be either kiddie coaster vs. kiddie coaster, or hyper vs. hyper, giga, strata, etc. I start it off.... Tatsu (SFMM) VS. Bizarro (SFGAd)

When I was there sometimes they did. it was a little harder then because they had two trains on red and only one on blue. They didn't always start them at the same time, but blue's lift hill was going faster than red's or something because blue caught up to red on the lift hill. It depends on the line and how many trains are running. Yea, I've noticed that...not to mention that blue likes to jump on the lift! I think Red goes over first, right?

So I see we've been talking about AE alot lately, I agree with that red side is better, it almost always wins!!! Go red! Do the AE crew (both Red & Blue) make every effort to race the trains? On a side note: It's Raging Bull's 10th anniversary!!! One question if someone has back problems, would Raging Bull make them worse, epically since it's not a rough coaster at all???

PTR: SFGAm 6/3/09
BEAMER3K replied to supercellcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know it was supposed to be more of a family coaster, but I'm giving my opinion from an enthusiast's point of view as I wasn't reviewing it for a family-oriented site. And I'm sure the video is ok for longer queues, but there was literally no wait the whole day so all it did was waste time and provoke the more immature adults in line to mock it. I didn't expect it to be anything more than Ragin' Cajun with lights, and that's exactly what it was. That's why I thought it was a waste of money. (And actually I would have preferred it to be an Iron Wolf-in-a-box if anything, but you see my point. ) TDK had no lines!? Shit, I remember seeing 2 1/2 hour to 3 hour lines last year on that thing!!! Everybody and their mother had to get a ride on that thing last year, now it's meh, TDK next!!! Iron Wolf in a box!? LOL, ouch.... -
Good thing I jumped on this deal early...got two tickets bought and secured for our June 29th SFGAm trip! There's so many people on this deal now, that it's severely slowing down their site!!!

Here you go.... This might come easy for some of you... -
LOL...party in the RRv station!!!! EDIT: On a side note are there any rough coasters at SFMM? Any that can cause slight pain? I know at my homepark, SFGAm Iron Wolf has a nasty corkscrew, it's rough as hell, it can give you headaches, and they tend to stop the trains hard on the final brake run, and if you're not paying attention, that hard stop can strike your family jewels very hard. I hope RRv is better, since it was built eight years later...

Hey guys...I read somewhere that the station for Riddler's Revenge has a messed up row sorter. Is this true? Is there any kind of rider row sorting divisions going on in there??? Do they at least have signs telling you, "First row left" and "Rows 2-8 right"?? Are there any other coasters in the park that have a messed up station or row sorter?
