^^ Calculus? Not even. That painful discussion was more like grade 11 math. -

^^ Not sure why they did it. But they got rid of all the old english in Medieval Fair years ago. Wilde Beast = Wild Beast, Dragon Fyre = Dragon Fire, etc. -

^ The only reason so many pics were postd yesterday is because all the construction was on the webcam. Now they've pretty much moved off to the side where you can't see what's going on. -

^^ The line wasn't all that bad. About 20 minutes I think it took us. ^ The beast's head is in one of Nicoles pictures. But trust me she's real. I would have taken a picture of her after the splash bridge, but well I was too disturbed by the sight of her picking at her wet white clothes. -

^ Almost all the rides at CP were built in winter. MF's lift hill was topped off right around new years. -

The gift shop at the very front of the park by the bathrooms. Ryan: -
^ Well of course you shouldn't take that 100% literally. You can ask pretty much anything. But if you ask something a bit too personal it's going to get deleted. It's pretty much common sense what should and shouldn't be asked.

Theme Park Review POSTING RULES!
Carnage replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ That's kind of why it should be an optional rule. If I've got a huge TR that I know I'm not going to get done quickly I'd rather let people comment in between. Otherwise it would just sit there with no responses for days until I finished. Which would probably hurt the TR just as much. -

I always figure that PCW is a really fun park as long as you go in with realistic expectations. It is not by any means a top tier park. It's a well run average park. And as long as you accept that it's just a fun park with nothing standout you should have a fun time. But if you expect a Cedar Point,Alton Towers,Disney experience, then you're going to be severly let down. I think I'm getting deja vu. Don't we always have this discussion during PCW trip reports?? -
Theme Park Review POSTING RULES!
Carnage replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If room it might even work best to put something in the subject itself. That way there is no way to miss it. With an "INCOMPLETE" in the subject, and a "please don't post until further notice" comment right at the start of the post. That would be ovious enough that booting someone for a day would be well deserved. It's good to see this addressed, as I've noticed this in many TRs that get really broken up to swarms of posts. -

Oh, also before leaving we headed into the gift shop to try and find some paramount merchandise. Unforunatly there was pretty much crap to buy. But Nicole did spot this shirt which I thought was too funny to pass up. If the resized version is too small to read I posted the full size picture: Here I said yes to each point. -
Theme Park Review POSTING RULES!

^ Having some sort of standard for a warning is probably a good idea. While in Dereks case it was pretty obvious that more posts were coming, there are other TRs where it's not nearly as obvious that they are done or not. -

lol no kidding. Something about bridges too. The millenium bridge had the marathon, and the PCW bridge had the messed up parade. -
So Nicole wanted to head out to PCW one last time this season, so we decided to go this past saturday. Worked out well as some freinds of mine wanted to go as well. If we can't go to the UK DVD party, we'll just have to have our own party. Nicole covers most of the day in her TR: Link I didn't take as many pics, but some fill in some gaps. We had decided to meet at the front of the park at 10am, but both of us were delayed by traffic. In my case I decided to take the 407 express toll route. Unoforunatly they had it down to 1 lane on a SATURDAY for no reason. Adding lanes for my convenience my ass. When it takes 40 minutes to get 5 km's that's not express anymore. After a slight delay we got into the park at about 11am, where we met up with some of my freinds, and one freak of nature. (if you read Nicole's TR you'll know all about that). Ended up being a really good day, lines weren't nearly as bad as I was fearing on a saturday. I lent my camera to Nicole and look what happens. Yay, we can cross. Along with the 200 hundred other pissed off people. The guy in black crossed the bridge too soon. The girafe guy harrassed him as he crossed. A fist fight almost broke out.(not kidding) In Canada we drug monkeys to force them into entertaining children. I really don't know what to say. Ahh a flaming parade is blocking us from Wild Beast. These 2 cops try in vain to keep people from crossing the bridge. We just want to ride Wild Beast. She complained afterwards that she didn't know she was going to get that wet. Wearing white was also a bad idea. Hidden in the wall of water is the beast. Children run in fear of her. Vortex was running great as usual. I'd consider this the only ride worthy of being PCWs signature ride. True to Nicole's word she took the bad bounce and got drenched. Signature shot of Psyclone. I had read a rumour awhile back that Orbiter had re-opened. I was glad to find that rumour to be true.Might not be the most intense ride, but I'm glad to see it stay. Headed to Top Gun first. No way am I waiting 2 hours for an SLC. Finally at the park. The guy with the rubber glove was suprisingly gentle. Why are those 3 lanes closed?!? I want my money back.

^ What you mean you don't know about the private paid cam? It's not advertised on the website that clearly, but there's a premium service you can pay for. It features life streaming instead of the refresh every minute stuff. Plus there's multiple camera angles and the ability to pan the cameras. Totally wory every penny. I'll PM you the sign up address. -

^ That's the one thing I wondered about. With this webcam if they were to have an accident during construction there would be hundreds of people saving the pics of it. Be kind of hard to keep it quiet. -

Yes and no. I find the construction interesting to watch. So I load the webcam from time to time at work. If I'm waiting for an application to load, waiting for an email, etc then I'll just flip over and see what's happening. It's not like I'm sitting at home watching it all day going "OMG another peice is going up!!". I just like to casually slack at work. -

The guy in the blue shirt must be someone important. Because I noticed he just stood around all day supervising. Typically construction guys. Edit: ^ Maybe you should get a ban till announcement as well. You don't need to shout in giant letters. -

Do you ever wonder if these construction workers realize just how many people are watching them work on the webcams? It'd be pretty creepy if my office had a wecam facing my desk. -

Yeah I assume Kitchener. (generally where I live as well). It's about an hour drive+, so yeah that would be a very pricey cab ride. -

lol yeah she wasn't one of my freinds, so say anything you want. She definetly is up there with some of the craziest people I've ever met. And not crazy in a good way. It was funny after she got soaked on the bridge and started complaining about how she didn't realize how wet she was going to get. I mean honestly, did she not see the giant tidal wave that the bridge gets hit by??
