I went back to the beginning of this thread and found this on the second page. It's always great to take a stroll back to memory lane!

16/30... Honestly I deserve a 6/30 but I tried my best to remember all the facts I've learned from being on this site. Thanks TPR! -
Seeing that this question does not have a "right or wrong" answer, I can personally say I don't care about theme areas, theming in general or theming on a coaster. I must say though that they do look amazing when they are done right but personally I don't put much attention to it because I just go to enjoy the rides. An easy example that comes to mind is Scream! for their lack of theming around the area and around the coaster but personally I don't care. It doesn't brother me that I can see the parking lines below the track and it's surrounded by a common steel fence. For me it doesn't add nor subtract from the actual track that the coaster rides on so I can enjoy for what it is, a coaster. I know some people can't enjoy a coaster without adequate theming or strolling through a park without some awesome themed areas but as for myself I really don't care for it. It's all a matter of personal choice and thankfully these type of questions bring out the spectrum of personal preferences that lets us know how different we can be with our tastes while still enjoying our common love; amusement parks, roller coasters, and rides!

Screamscape, which aggregates and posts many different rumors without claiming any validity, including conflicting rumors, has been correct 78.34% of the time on rumors relating to Knott's Berry Farm dating back to 1998 when Screamscape was created. If what your saying is true, then that's a pretty good track record! (No pun intended)

That's funny, there has been no confirmation or announcement of anything. Uncalled for. It seems like a safe assumption that a park builds the rides that show up on its property, save a few examples of old rides being transported and left to rot. Brand new ride parts seem likely to be built, so pardon me for expecting that to be the case. I honestly don't think he was trying to bust your chops. I honestly think he was just stating a fact that nothing has been announced yet officially. Let's just keep enjoying the specluation before we wind down another road in this thread...

Just came from the park 30 mins ago the 7-11 event was awesome. The ERT they had was Green Latern, Batman: The Ride and Goliath. We got a ride on Green Latern (Man that little monster packs a punch!), and 2 rides on Goliath. Before the ERT we got on Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom and it was great. The fall is awesome and the view is amazing. It's very re-rideable and I can't wait to get on it again. Me and the wifey enjoyed our night there, especially since each ticket was only $7.11

On an S&S tower, the ride carriage is permanently attached to a cable at both the top and bottom, on all four sides. On an Intamin tower, cables are only attached to the catch car (which hooks onto the ride carriage from above). This makes Intamin towers as close to a freefall as possible, whereas an S&S tower is more controlled due to the attached cables. On an S&S Turbo Drop, compressed air pushes the carriage down at a fast speed after being released from the brakes at the top of the tower, but anyone who has ridden both products knows that a Turbo Drop "freefall" doesn't quite match up to an Intamin freefall. You would think being dropped down faster than what gravity would pull would give a bigger punch. I remember freefall but that was just a 100 ft drop compare to supreme scream's 252 ft drop. I do feel that gut wrenching feeling on supreme scream probably at the 2 second mark of the drop. Freefall had a smooth drop but I wonder how it's going to feel adding almost 300 ft more to that drop. I can't wait to ride it with my church group when we go in September!

I don't know if it's just me, but Supreme Scream and knotts doesn't give the same drop ride 'feeling' as other drop rides, such as the old Freefall ride. It feels more like a rapid descent than an actual zero-gravity freefall. Maybe it's just me and I'm crazy. Which drop is more intense... the S&S compressed air drop or the literal freefall intamin gives? Does Lex Luthor five that true dropping feeling? The lose-your-stomach-cant-breathe-all-the-way-down feeling?
