  1. ^Tony Hawk did have the biggest and slowest moving line at SFDK
  2. ^Yay it actually was said, but I guess drop towers are low capacity, although the Intamin Gyro Drop seems to have a big enough capacity to fit a park like SFMM http://www.ridetrade.com/rti/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=27&Itemid=37
  3. ^But you can see the groove in the track for the cable on the top piece
  4. Dear Robb, I was updating my coaster counter and was looking through the leader boards and saw your account. I had figured you had the credit but checked anyway, and of course you had the mystical Goliath Jr/Percy credit. I'm just wondering how you got it, was there not a height limit back when it was Goliath JR? (I only visited sfmm once with it as Goliath Jr), did you ask management? Or did they just let you on since you're Robb Alvey? P.S: I bet you could draw a huge crowd for Percy ert
  5. I went last Thursday and had just an awesome time. I was so happy to see all the coasters up and running (it pushed my credit count over 50, Medusa was number 50). I went on a promotional day, Boys Like Girls was playing so it was decently crowded, Medusa was about 30 minutes, Roar 15, etc. Luckily my cousin and I chose not to go to the concert so it was like we had the whole park to ourselves, Medusa, V2, and Roar had a maximum of a 5 minute wait. Kong was a walk on, although we chose to ride in the back...never again will I do that. Overall it was a great day, there were the high fiving ride ops for Tony Hawk and the park just had a really great atmosphere to it, the coasters are also great even if there arent too many of them. SFDK definitely earns my stamp of approval Favorite quotes from the day: "That was almost as fast as Tony Hawk" Said some guy walking off of Medusa "Did you know Boys Like Girls was on Medusa?" Said some kid like 3 times
  6. ^Haha good enough, the other two points I heard were said by management, but of course, it's the internet so you can't really confirm anything
  7. ^Good find, that's clearly for a curved launch section though! Joking aside, I think that settles the launching debate
  8. ^That one I thought I heard on TPR, that's why I said it was crazy speculation because it in no way is actually true, I think something like that may have been said at ACE day, not 100% sure though.
  9. This is just random speculation here, but does anyone think that SFMM could be getting a drop tower next year similar to Acrophobia? The reason I say this is that: 1) Management said that they were working with Intamin 2) They also said that there would be a focus on flats next year 3) They also said that they wanted to add a drop tower that distances itself from KBF's and DCA's
  10. If SFMM was paying the licensing fees, then why pick Terminator? It's a nightmare for the gp with all of their "It's Terminator, but it's made out of wood," and "SFMM just slapped a name on their coaster" comments. I always figured they were approached by the Terminator people, but I easily could be wrong
  11. ^I meant the Termy cars, I think they were from the movie, that's what I've heard
  12. Weren't the cars props from the movies too? Or just some of them?
  13. Oh okay that was you, I thought it was you but couldnt quite remember what screen name you had said, you seem to have blown my ride count out of the water, it's great to see that SFMM has made such a great hit with enthusiasts and guests alike Edit:^ Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't whoever made Terminator pay SFMM for advertising? And not SFMM payed the Terminator people for licensing?
  14. ^Woah that's a good find by that guy, it seems like one of those things that really seems like it could be true even though it's most likely a coincidence
  15. ^A decent amount of time ago, if I had to make a guess I'd say beginning of this year, but I forgot when people first started noticing it
  16. ^My bad, I meant to say a right hand slant
  17. Walking off medusa at SFDK, I heard: "That was pretty good, almost as fast as Tony Hawk." I was with my gp cousin who knew enough to be laughing inside at that
  18. I was probably just seeing things, but is the brake run on a slight slant? I doubt it, but I'm wondering if anyone else thought they saw that
  19. Out of the 4 woodies I've ridden, Terminator is the best because you kinda float out the whole way down, followed by probably SFDK Roar, Ghostrider, and Colossus
  20. ^^^I guess you're right, sorry about that, don't worry, I wasnt being all too serious. I'll just try not to be stupid like that again ^^Oh really now?
  21. ^I'd rather get owned than read through 3 pages of about an email advertising service
  22. Has SFMM started this? Cause they were advertising this all over the park on their queue monitors
  23. Is it just me? Or does one of those unpainted supports look like a loop support?
  24. Terminator Didnt get boring on Sunday
