  1. I would have loved to have a honeymoon at Cedar Point! Heck, I wish I would have had my wedding at Cedar Point! I would have said " I Do" going down Millie's first hill! This summer a guy proposed to his girlfriend there. He had the caricature person draw him on one knee. That was cool.
  2. I miss the Dominator! It use to be 30 minutes away from me now it's 8 hours away! I have to go to Cedar Point to process my platinum pass and they don't open until May 16th. I could get my pass in April but I don't want to drive 2 hours away and not get to ride any coasters!
  3. Single Rider Bob rode Millenium Force over 1000 times this season. He will probably end up in the record books.
  4. I have never been sore or bruised from Mantis. Apparently I know how to ride it properly! LOL! Maverick however has left plenty of bruises on my arms this summer. But that's only because I had my hands up the whole time. I do that on Mantis too. Phantom's Revenge was scary because the bar does not touch my legs and there is no bars to hold on to. I would not let go of the lap restraint! It was fun but I like CP's variety of coasters better.
  5. I don't consider Mantis rough, but then again I'm a girl! Mean Streak is rough. I agree about PR. It's not rough, just intense.
  6. I've been at Cedar Point 2 Sundays every month this fall. The crowds are usually light. Most rides have 1/2 hour wait or less except the big ones (Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, Maverick). I have never been there on a closing day. Hopefully they won't be busy as I will also be there tomorrow.
  7. I sat with the single rider on Sunday. My son was not ready for Millennium Force yet so I rode alone and at the last minute he sat with me. He is really nice. You can see him in the photo on the last page with his flourecent shirt on. Awesome day!
  8. You CAN black out on a coaster, probably not a launched coaster. The guy at the Mantis photo hut at Cedar Point said people blackout on it all the time. He said you can see their heads hanging in the photos sometimes. Also, people who are prone to seizures can ride most coasters with no incident, but if they ride one with heavy strobe lighting, they could pass out and/or have a seizure.
  9. I don't think Geauga Lake's WildWater Kingdom will be around too much longer. I, as many people, was shocked when they went to a waterpark only. It was the closest park for Akron, Canton and Youngstown. Now we have to drive to Kennywood or Cedar Point for coasters. If Cedar Fair was not making enough money to keep the ride side open, what makes them think the water park can survive? I know without the coasters being there I won't go back. I went once this summer and looked across the lake where the rides used to be and was depressed to see my childhood park die. The only reason I went is because I have Cedar Points platnium pass and did not have to pay to get in and my sister invited us to go with her kids. I, for one, enjoy roller coasters way better than water slides.
