^ Glad you had a good visit. Chop Stix is decent but I definitely miss Panda Express there. That was always my go to place to eat. I thought the same thing about Johnny Rockets too. I never noticed it until last year when I tried to eat there. Then when I was at Six Flags New England I was able to eat there with the dining pass.

That is awesome you had good customer service. Some of the employees do care and I like seeing that. When I was there last the Mind Eraser staff could not have cared less about the ride or guest. Also, the Wild One staff was more interested in having personal conversations over the loud speaker then checking seat belts/restraints. That sucks about the water rides being down all in one day. The Penguin needs some love bad, the rafts do not even spin anymore. Most of the rubber on the slide is gone and the water fall feature at the bottom had no water coming out of the middle last time I was there. I also find it odd you have to wait for the raft behind yours to hit yours so yours can then go up the conveyor belt back into the station. Renegade Rapids runs on a weird schedule. When I went on 7/4 it did not open with the park but is usually open about noon. However, sometimes it does not open until around 1 then sometimes closes again and re-opens later on. This ride could use a huge face lift as well.

TPR's 2018 USA Tour Trip Reports!

Looks like an awesome start to the trip! The snack exchange was one of my favorite parts of the 2 trips I did. Can't wait to follow along. -
Yeah. Wahoo River itself has had a borderline negative affect on the waterpark (loss of main stage, Only one walkway, etc) but due to its seemingly cheap price they added essential upgrades such as new flooring in the wave pool and brand new equipment for the kids water play area. A vast improvement is a good way to put what they added. Does it look nice? Yes. But, they really didn't do that much as they made it sound on the advertisements. I was very let down with the "wave" effect, I barely felt it. Its a huge let down compared to the wave lazy river at Schliterbahn. I hate that new GIANT planter they added where the pizza stand is in the water park. There is now not enough room to move on that pathway. They should have just added more tables! They need it on busy days. When I was there 7/4 there were no where enough tables. So many people sitting on the ground eating. I am excited to see the future of this water park. Its clearly the money maker for the park (besides Fright Fest). The additions they have added have been pretty good. Now, I want them to add some customer slides. Bahmama Blast is my favorite slide because its custom. The Tornado, Halfpipe, and Bonzai Pipeline are pretty much becoming way too common for water parks now. As I have said before I really enjoy that they changed Hammerhead and Mako to be tubeless. Too many people flew out of them and ran into the stairs. Also, very happy they have held onto Zoomazon Falls. Even though I miss riding them on a tube and almost flying out they are still pretty fun as body slides. Yeah, I remember nearly hitting the stairs on Hammerhead/Mako. And I can get decent airtime on them, which is well worth minor scratches on my back. As for Zoomazon Falls, for whatever reason the green slide is the fastest YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! The green one is the best. The green has the best dip right from the beginning to get the most speed. People assume because its the highest that its the best. Its funny how so many people scramble to the top "gold" one. I actually prefer the other 3 more. The blue was really fun when they let you use tubes on it.

I am glad this park seems to be able to recover quickly when this happens. I am hoping for a decent week prior and over Labor Day weekend, it will be my first time back to the park in 4 years! -

This is the only amusement park I have found that serves real brewed iced tea. I try not to drink soda or sugary drinks and I find is silly that most parks do not offer real iced tea. Its one of the cheapest drinks they can sell and still make a profit with a mark up. Plus, in the hot summer its definitely more thirst quenching to drink un-sweet drinks then sugary ones. Awesome report by the way too! -

WOW - that layout looks awesome! Living in Baltimore and being a huge Ravens fan I will have to love/hate this whole section of the park. I just better not wear my Ravens shirt that day. -

I'm late to the party.... I can not wait to see what they do with all this land! Side notes: I always take my phone (iPhone) on Skyrush and have never had a problem at all. Even in my normal shorts/pants front pocket. Then again I do have a decent case on mine as well though too. Also, I always put my hands up on this and have never had an issue. -

Great report and pics! -
The dry side will more than likely be dead. Most coasters will be a walk on. You more than likely won't need a Flash Pass at all. RC may have a little wait and ME has only been running one train. When I was there 7/4 I waited about 10 minutes for it. Adults can ride the kiddie credit without a kid but it usually has a line. The water park is decent here.

I would love to see something new in Batwing's place. Even though its fun I'd like to see something new and fresh in the park instead of just shuffled coasters. There is a lot of land back there. They could easily fit 2 coasters back there eventually. I always wonder why they never put anything on the land between Batwing and Superman. Also... I know its a pipe dream but bathrooms back there would be awesome!

I am all about putting my things in a locker. However, if it is going to be a REQUIRED policy then I feel as though the parks should be covering the cost because in the end they are doing this to cover their butt. It should only be a charge if I have the choice to use the facility. -

I find the coasters at KD more thrilling. Hershey I go for the whole 'experience'. -

They also offer a reasonably priced twilight ticket, but for a full day AJ has you covered. Dunkin Donuts has coupons at their stores. -

I need to look into Choice more. I always feel like they do not have locations everywhere like other brands. That is the reason I have stayed away from them. I am also pretty loyal to Motel 6. Ever since they have have redone most of their hotels they have become pretty decent. -
So there were three trains worth of people in line? This line can get up to 45 min to an hour in the summer if they are using one train and one station. Some of it has to do with the restraints - some people get confused on how to get into the seat. Also, they used to let you pull down the leg restraint and now they don't. If someone does sometimes they have releases them all and redo them.

We need to have a talk. lol I have a membership in Hilton (credit card too), Wyndham, and IHG (work for this company). I try to stagger my stays between the brands and I seem to get the most rewards with Wyndham. -

Love Super 8! I am kinda Wyndham loyal because they have one of the best hotel rewards programs around. There are also some nice Days Inn's out there. Stayed at a few in Texas when I did a park tour down there. On the flip side I have stayed at some crappy Hilton and Marriott properties so brand has nothing to do with each hotel. -
That seems helpful. No it wasnt, they were really inconveniencing us. In all seriousness, they had their parties fanning them while someone looked for security. What else are you supposed to do besides step over them and keep moving up the line? Blame Six Flags for the horrendous lack of shade. I wouldn't go that far as to blame Six Flags for the high heat. When the heat gets to a certain point you get can dehydrated and pass out even in the shade. When its hot its up to you as a person to make sure you are staying hydrated, eat foods that are good for the heat, and pay attention to your body. It will give you signals when its had enough. Now, do I think more shade is needed in parks? Yes, especially when you are in line or waiting on a break run. But when push comes to shove its you to you to take care of your body.

Can someone provide some photographic evidence of crowds at this park? I'm being serious. Lol,next time I go. I'll do it at various locations. Actually has been very crowded lately (overall). I measure by the parking lot. Nah I wanna see ride queues. Like more than one switchback filled. I don't think I've ever seen that outdoor queue on Jokers Jinx used. Does Superman get a line past the steps? I need to see this. Yes, Superman gets long, like back to the first set of switch backs where you enter the line - this usually only happens during Fright Fest at night though and running one train. When Superman first opened the entire queue was full. Joker's RARELY sees the line come out of the station. I have been there where the entire queue is full in the station - usually during Fright Fest. Roar can have the the ramp queue full but never spills down into switch backs that are under the shade. Their line queue used to be used for a haunt during FF. The parking lot can be a negative indicator. As I mentioned before I was just there July 4th and all 3 parking lots were full. However, Every coaster besides ME was a walk on, due to one train operations, if you did not want the front or back row. Actually pretty much everything none water related was a walk on. Now, when you see this in fall when its Fright Fest you know there will be lines because the water park is closed plus a HUGE amount of their guest use the public bus to get to the park.
