^^ WOW that is a lot already! I am so excited to be taking part in this amazing event again this year. Come on TPR, lets get this done and raise $10K by March 22nd!! Even if you are not participating you can help by just donating to just one person's page that is participating. This event means the world to Give Kids The World. What I try to tell people is even just $5 helps more than they know.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

Tea cups! I love the tea cups!!!!!!! They looks awesome and I love the themeing. The kiddie area is looking like its going to be really nice now. I am weird when ever I go to a park I always make sure to walk through the kiddie sections. I love the themeing of many of them and I enjoy seeing what kinds of rides/variations of rides they have come up with since I was a kid. -
Most Ghetto Park You Have Visited

^ I would not call Martin's Fantasy Island ghetto. To me its just a small park with carnival rides. Not sure how that is ghetto? The park was very clean when I was there and the Silver Comet is well taken care of and looked great when we were there this past summer. I had a great time here at Martin's with TPR. The only bad thing I can say is they closed on us for rain when it was not even raining! -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
alilstronger replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I do understand potentially why this ride will not be open but... ...Keep in mind Hershey has been weird in the past with listing rides for Springtime in the Park. Years ago they used to never list any rides in the back of the park but every year the entire park was open. At least this was my experience. I remember the year Lightning Racer opened it was actually open for STITP when they said it would not be. -

Most Ghetto Park You Have Visited

I would have to say Conneaut Park. This park has so much potential - the land it sits on is beautiful. I know some said Lakemont - I personally enjoyed that park a lot when I was there this past Labor Day weekend. It was clean and all the rides ran great. The staff was friendly and I saw no issues. The only thing I would say is have a better process for the Leap The Dips because NO one knew you had to buy a "special ticket" for it. For anyone that said Six Flags America. I live right by this park and go a lot. They have really come a long way in just the past 2 seasons. This season I went 5 times and all the rides were running every time. If something went down they had it up and running fairly quickly. Also they are huge on line jumpers now and are not afraid to call people out now. -
Fastest Lift Hill?
alilstronger replied to bonsaiisuperstar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Skyrush has a really fast one but it was rumored that they were going slow it down as one of the improvements for the ride. Not sure if that is true or not. -
^^ I can relate to that. I am different though. There is no hiding I go out dancing A LOT. I simply LOVE to dance. I just ignore all the cliques. If I see someone talking about me I will walk up to them and ask them what they said or what about me is making them talk about me. Usually they are caught so off guard they just walk away and giggle with their "friends". To me going out is fun and I get to release so much stress! I guess I am different and can just ignore all the animosity and hatred.

It generally is fairly crowded, but it shouldn't ruin your day. I went one time during then and park-hopped (This was before Carsland was open) and I got most of the stuff I wanted to do in both parks in one day. I missed a couple of rides though. If you're going to spend two days there, here's the best way to go: I would not recommend park-hopping as it would be way too overwhelming, especially since lines will generally range from 45 minutes to an hour and a half around the time you're going. Do Disneyland one day and then DCA the other. That way you won't feel so rushed and you can enjoy yourself more. I'm not sure I would agree that DCA warrants a "full day", but if you've never been there, I guess it could? The other thing to keep in mind, and this more depends on the type of person you are, Muppets, Tough to be a Bug, Toy Story Mania, and Soarin' are all IDENTICAL to their counter parts at Walt Disney World. Not sure if you've ever been on any of them at Walt Disney World, or if you are the type of person who has to do all the rides, regardless, but if you're looking for things to put on a lower priority list because you've done them elsewhere, these rides are exact clones. I strongly disagree with this strategy. The Paradise Pier rides will NOT have a longer line than Racers at all. So get to the park early, before opening, go right to the RSR Fastpass, get a Fastpass as soon as you can, and then go right for the Standby line. RSR's Standby line will most likely be the shortest it will be all day long right at opening, and you can usually get in TWO rides on it within the first hour the park is open (one via Standby and one with your FastPass), and then even sometimes get another FastPass for it BEFORE you use your original FastPass. Screamin' should have FastPass available all day long, no problem, and the lines aren't too bad. The other thing to consider, while RSR is good, it's no Test Track, and if you're been on Test Track, the first thing you'll notice when you get to the outdoor section is "Why is this ride going so slow?" As much as we liked RSR, two rides was plenty for us. I would go to DCA for opening on your first day, get in as many rides as possible, and then hop over to Disneyland. If you like RSR enough, perhaps start there the next morning again and then hop over to Disneyland, but if you've never been to either park, I'd say DCA is a good 1/2 to 3/4 day park now, while Disneyland you can easily spend a day to a day and a half there no problem. Even if you stay for World of Colour at DCA. See the first show, and then spend the last 3-4 hours over at Disneyland. While I know there aren't as many places to eat at Disneyland as there are at Walt Disney World, if you're flying across the country on vacation, especially at a Disney park, I would absolutely try some of the restaurants on property before I'd suggest going to IHOP, Subway, or McDonald's, which you can get anywhere. Make reservations for Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans, Carthay Circle, Naples, and if you're looking for something more unique that's off-property, Fire & Ice in Garden Walk was fantastic! Why would you go to "Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles" when you have these options??? --Robb Thank you so much Robb! Especially for letting me know which rides are identical. I have been to Disney World several times and rode all of these there. My main focus is to ride what is not in Disney World and most definitely try the food. I will not be eating anywhere I can eat here in MD, I rarely do that on vacation.

Please forgive me because I am sure this has been ask in this thread before. I have never been to Disneyland before let alone even to the west coast. I will be visiting from Maryland for my first time for 2 days during spring break in April. Is the park usually really crowded during this time? We are planning on one day in Disneyland and one in California Adventure.

You are definitely not like that at all! You are awesome and fun!

^^ I could not agree with you more!!!!!!!!!!!! I accept everyone for who they are, but than again I was raised to be that way. Plus why cause stupid drama. "Typical" gay guys get on my nerves and they are the ones that give the rest of us the bad name.

^ I wish I liked action movies. I finally saw Mama Saturday night. I enjoyed it till the end. I always give the ghost/spirit movies a shot because they are my favorite type of horror. I will admit there were some good jumps in it but once they started showing the ghost more and you saw how computerized it was it took away from the movie for me.

Robb is right. Staying at the designated ride is the point of the event. Last year at Dorney they only used Steel Force and that is pretty smooth coaster to ride over and over again. Plus the marathoning usually ends about 5 or 6 PM and most parks are open until 8 or 9 that day anyway. With it being a Sunday you can definitely get any other rides in you want on other rides there.

I am happy to see that someone else actually has the DVD version. I always have my list maxed out at 500 movies.
