A great offseason tour was posted over at GreatAdventureHistory.com Be sure to check it out! Here are my thoughts on what looks to be a great season. Thanks for the update! The park is really starting to amaze me in every way. Safari Kids -Wild Things selling Safari merch. is a great idea. Bringing some of the amazing animal park to the dry park is even better. -Birds of Prey sounds like a great show that most adults would want to watch Skyway Cars -The sponsor by M&M should really add some color to the ride. Maybe they will look more like Cedar Point's skycars which is never a bad thing. Tornado -Although Harbor just got Tornado last year, that is a GREAT name for the ride. With the red paint job, I'm sure it will get a lot of attention. SlingShot -Probably my second favorite addition of 2011. A more extreme ride in Boardwalk is a good idea. It will draw a crowd as well since it launches a lot faster than erUPtion. Green Lantern -The queue area looks to be one of the best in Gadv. Judging by the queue house. -I know it's never good to go by Park Maps but Green Lantern looks to be a lot better than what I was expecting. -Why are the top half of the supports White in the park map? -The station on the map looks well themed to say the least. -This is one big A$$ COASTER! Safari Discoveries -This basically proves that Gadv is one of the BEST animal parks out there. The entire Temple of the Tiger exhibit will get a lot of attention from guest. -The new path area also offers great views of El Toro -LLAMAS! Conclusion Great Adventure is celebrating the 50th Anniversary for sure! There are going to be a lot of new experiences in the park next year. Several on the west AND the east side of the park. Which hasn't happened in a couple of years. New rides, shows, upcharges, and animals. Even the park map looks amazing! There will be a lot to do. New Management is doing a GREAT job at running the park and we are looking at a great future!

A new area?? I think the entire Temple of the Tiger may become a seperate area from Golden Kingdom. But, this sounds WAY better than what I was expecting. Some key points, Walk Through Parakeet Paradise, sounds like a lot of fun for the families and underwater viewing pool area for the California Sea Lions. The tigers will be missed but from the looks of it, we are getting something just as good! Six Flags Great Adventure is offering a lot of new experiences next year!

Tallest Dueling Trap Door Speed Slides in the World! From the website From Courier Post Online This is GREAT NEWS for the small park in NJ. Once home to the steepest wooden coaster in the U.S. now home to the tallest Duel trap door slides!The park is only 15 minutes from my house so I will be making daily trips and report on construction. It's not a curse. Less we forget, roller coasters ARE machines, meaning they are going to have operational hiccups. Especially on the first day the coaster has riders hourly. It's certainly not a Gadv or Six Flags thing. However with Green Lantern already being 13 years old, I'm sure any problems that would prevent it from opening on time have come and gone. Time will tell.

Themeing does play a major role in a coaster but like someone at Cedar Fair said, I'd rather pay for more track than themeing. Just look at Maverick. A basic theme can go long way for a lot of track. ....and to the people who honestly think Dragster has more themeing than Kingda Ka. Really?! I understand Dragster has a pretty impressive theme but from the moment you step under the entrance arch, you are completely immersed in the jungle atmosphere on Kingda Ka. Too each his own however.

It's differs between El Toro and Nitro. Hopefully Green Lantern blows me away and it becomes my favorite!

In person Green Lantern towers over the parking lot. Also the color is a musturd green which is a lot more different than Kingda Ka's lime. Now if only Superman was as good as the other two, these 3 could be the Holy Trinity. Green Lantern through the trees!

A lot of the coasters there look nice. Too bad most of them are clones.

The "New" part does seem out of place. "Texas Giant" would have been enough.

Believe me, I questioned that statement too but honestly Great White was running insane last weekend.

Wow. Riding Giant Wheel in the fog must've been fun. I rode Kingda Ka a few times while the top was covered in fog and it was amazing. The view from the top was breath taking!

Wildwood, NJ for 3 days... :jumping0001: Arrival Ha. We are lost in A.C. I prefer Wildwood anyway. Question, why would someone stay so far away from the actual shore?! Here we are! The amazing Wildwoods. This...is the cool Wawa. All other Wawa's cry theirselves to sleep. They sure do know how to theme a city. Normal people stay in the crappy small rooms. I get the apartment at the end. Literally across the street from the Boardwalk. Pool. It comes with a balcony. double Splashzone or something down the street. Pool....from the balcony!! View looking towards Spencer Ave Looking straight ahead ..and Schellnge...the second pier! Wildwood...from the balcony!! I see you. First Night Great View from my bedroom. I always wanted to be the crazy guy at spring break that falls off the balcony. Crazy? I know. Shore store. Hmm this is new! Best ride of my life. Also new! Morey's sure does know how to light some rides. "Way better than SNL"...right. You filthy whore. Great White...is LIFE. Best water ice ever. Back at the hotel...FOR NOW. LATER that night It's now 2 am. The nightlife here is...blah On the Boardwalk at 3am. Illegal? I don't think I care. I can't fit on El Toro anymore. Waddaya Know. Right across the street. The only restroom without a water fountain is the one in Golden Kingdom...but why drink sun-beaten fountain water when you can get an ice cold cup for free.
