  1. found a video from the test rides on freizeitparkweb.de from the user "Dasdi"! you can download it here. Looks much faster than i expected. if you want to see more about the park here is a link to a german TV report: http://www.wdr.de/mediathek/html/regional/rueckschau/2009/09/12/lokalzeit_owl_aktuell.xml?offset=1424&autoPlay=truea
  2. ^ In one way you`re really wright, but i think when this would have been done, he would have probably made a coaster enthusiast day or something like this (or i would have done this)... because his building was known all over the world. But of course the ride would be on your own risk... but i am sadly not the one who had build this coaster, so just a speculation. So by the way, the reason why i used this thread was the same you posted. Found this one really intresting and don`t wanted to open a new one. So you really do a good job, in raising your forum members And now im not sure if i used "huffy" in the correct form... i just mean it in a funny way. I really smilled when i wrote this, so no problemo.
  3. seems that you over read my post, that wasn`t about this wood coaster, that`s n old thread, and i posted a new self made terrain coaster in here... but anyway, what that guy from offenburg had build looked really nice. So there are some other photos from before it was deconstructed and an article about it, because the EuropaPark and MACK rides owner decided to show this little piece of art in his park for some time(but this is also an old article): Article and source of the pics http://www.parkscout.de/artikel/wissenschaftzumanfassenimeuropapark/achterbahn_coaster_ep and @robb: you answered to a 4 year old post i had to smile when i read your answer... sounded a little bit huffy. But i had to say, if this one would have been build to the end, this would have been the first REALLY backyard coaster. Its track was designed and calculated and it should get a lenght of 100 metres and up to 47 km/h speed. So i think this one could had become the first proffesional amateur coaster in the world and i would have counted this as a REAL CREDIT in my opinion .... really sad that it never will happen.
  4. I found no other suitable thread so i put in here. Its a nice onride video of a track which is build directly on the terrain, found this one in the german http://onride.de forum: http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/tech-gadget/homemade-roller-coaster-has-banked-turns-is-very-fast the last part really gets fast... i wana ride it
  5. Would be really nice to see one Photo TR of this little wierdo from you... if you haven`t seen the park map before, i`ll spoil it to you: I´ll bet you that you haven`t seen some of the attractions before like this self powered WellenBahn (WaveRide) edited: Pics deleted because the sources were deleted. Source: http://www.pottspark-minden.de/
  6. found two more photos from the test on http://freizeitparkweb.de/cgi-bin/dcf/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=7353&forum=DCForumID4&viewmode=all: Seems that it will open soon...
  7. Thx. We used this way because it was there not so crowded and we want to walk there in a relaxed way after we waited so much time in the traffic jam, so we don`t had to fight the crowds to reach Bluefire.
  8. So here is my first contact with TPR... not as good as sex but hope you like it and that my english is ok. Some photos look a little bit fringed since i scaled them down but give it a chance. Let`s get started: What`s to say. When we arrived at the park... or should i say when we had left the highway first we saw was a big traffic jam... seems that everyone from germany, swiss and france want to get in the park on the same day. It was soooooooo crowded i never had seen before. They even had to open extra parking places for the park. Even when we left the park at 9 o´clock pm we have waiting two hours in a traffic jam to get on the highway, so it was a long day... But anyway, we had a lot of fun and i learned something very usefull: Do never ever and under no circumstances go to Europa Park when Germany, Swiss and France has holiday at the same time. but you`ll see: ...BOOBs!!!! So that was the first part of the trip but there are many unsolved questions for the second part: - Will it have more german girls!? - Did we get wet!? - What rides will come!? - What dirty evil secret was inside the poseidon watercoaster station!? - And will there be more boobies!? All of the questions get answered in PART II, so stay tuned. Hope you enjoyed it. ... ok, the three last pics for the first part of the trip: Two of BlueFire and one for which you all have waited for the whole time...... grass and blur.... could it get better. A little warning to vekoma: don´t built tracks directly into rocks, good thing that this one is Mack. Blurry fast closeness. ....and this one, in a fast moving line. why i like digital fast digital cameras!? because of this photo.... the same with this one. had no chance to get this one with a train because the operators were really fast, but anyway i like it. really dark shot but for the case that you forgot: "i like trees". ... and three shots in a row. I really like fast digital cameras. ...two... one... ... de loop loop de loop... i like trees like girls always be... they look stupid when they saw what they were going to ride the first time... not what you think, its about coaster if you have forget this you dirty little credit whores. but i had to mention that the they really pulled the people through the ride, the operators were amazing. ...so i had enough time to took a lot photos... people were waiting over an hour... Now its time for... bad photo but can you imagine FOUR motorbike riders in this cage at the same time, sadly the show was cancelled that day. and more But first a little bit theming ...THIS!!! now we nearly arrived, in the backround... if you go through this underpass, you see.. and the exit of the rapids. more rapids. Yeah rapid freaks i got a shot for you: A rapid shot through a net... if this isn`t like sex for you i don`t know what to do. new bill of fare for the shark: Nice girls asses. just if you can`t get enough of scandinavia and before we get chance to get close to our first ride the girls needs to do what mother natur forced them to do. ähm... crowded!!!! in this shot i wanted to get a pic of the rapid ride but this girl gets in the right time on the right place to make this photo suck. ok here you`ll see an area were not so much people in the picture, but it was really.... a common i know you know it by now, so "scheiß drauf" Skandinavien - not that i want to say that the park was crowded, i just want to show that there were people... a lot of them... really really many people... too much of them. Shot this one for the monorail nerd, but it becomes to dark, but in some weird way i like this pic, don`t ask me why. In the back you`ll see the "KaffeTassen" ride. The "PeterPan" flat ride. magic train, it changed his colors in some mysterious ways. forget to shot more pics from the partytrain... i know you want always more of this one. The station for the little monorail. an old traditional carrousel more of it theming and the track of the little monorail. Train station of rusia The arena of football, whith bumper cars inside that look like football shoes. the globe theatre... just if you wonder what is inside, its a theatre. blurry front of the "Schweizer Bobbahn" station. Sadly i had no other photo of this ride because of the long queues we decided to skip it. and again The people mover train... what to say about... ahh, its blue, like Bluefire just a walk way... like the green of the trees and like you see on nearly the most pictures: the monorail is everywere. Round boat ride with "Marionetten" (string puppets) Not the best picture but i never saw a photo here on TPR from the station of the oldtimer cars, so here is one. "Schänke" means that you`ll get beer there we had long way to the first ride, BlueFire. Enough time to take some photos theming a little blurry trainstation... but had no other pic of it. ... it was an original old blackforest house that was deconstructed on its original place, stone by stone and rebuilded in the park with the original parts. I just know this because the father of one of my friends build this one. there is a little fact of this theming building i think not many people knows... little bit of random theming... you will recognize when i post more of this kind. just why you wonder i shot this shot... this was the queue for the toilletts. Did i mentioned that the park was full of people yet!? their is a little fair in a building in the entry area. one of their mascotts my room mate, hers friend, brother and cousin were with me i know you like german girls uhm... did i mention that... the weather was not the best in the morning.... but it really goes mad the the whole day, it changed from rainny to sunny back to rainny and then very windy... For everyone who said: "Size don`t matters", just look at this picture. Its huge and i like it. The ticket for the season... just for guys that like printed papers in a very special way... as a park ticket (what have you thought, by the way) Did i forget something to mention???? Ah sure, it was really really crowded. But now: Welcome to EuropaPark Silverstar was already running while we were waiting. You can`t see but they were really fast, selling the tickets. They had to do so because thousands of people were arriving every minute we were waiting. First shot. Like i mentioned it was crowded.
  9. ^ no that is not sure if the ring racer opens on that date.... they just said that the "ringwerk"Park will be opened. So that means that the other rides will be opened for sure. But since the technical problems nothing were told about the coaster, they just said that they can`t say how long it will take to repair the problem and that it will be opened when it is ready. So i would suggest you to wait a few days to get sure that the coaster will be opened when you arrive there. EDIT: Ok, now its official, that it will NOT BE OPENED ON 15th of August. They said in a press article that they need more weeks for repairs and testing and can`t say when it will finally been opened. Source: http://rhein-zeitung.de/on/09/07/30/rlp/t/rzo597996.html
  10. really proffesional pics! i like the kind of way you are get details in pictures! Nice still shots. Nearly all photospots and viewpoints were very impressive or never seen before. You could sell them to ride owners, i think they will be excited ... but sometimes i miss a long shot (Totale) of the rides. i think with some objects in the foreground they will look impressive. And one question.... what kind of camera are you using!?
  11. There is a testvideo on YouTube from the first rides: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SnbrYnTmZw
  12. there are a press report that they have technical problems with pneumatic launch device, so they had to repair it, the newsletter from Presseinformation der Nürburgring GmbH translated with google: "Test rides of the racers ° ring interrupted Dear journalists, editorial teams and colleagues, the ring ° racer after its successful maiden voyage to the Formula 1 future, the fastest roller coaster in the world and in terms of acceleration and top speed. In cooperation with TÜV are therefore currently test drives to reach the final instead. As part of today's tests is a technical defect in the pneumatic firing mechanism has occurred. The resulting blast was triggered around the Nürburgring clearly perceive. The car of the ring ° racers are undamaged. On the launcher now need further testing before repairs are carried out, whose exact duration is still unclear is. Thereafter, the test resumed. The ring ° factory opened on 15th August together with the DTM motorsport highlight." by the way there is a new video on youtube, with really nice expressions of the ride (indoor and outdoor):
  13. ^^ In the german forums they said that the trains were built from "Schäfer Amusement Technology". So no Intamin. ^ The next town seems to be Nürnberg. But i don`t think it will be on the Oktoberfest in Munich because they already had there the OlympiaLooping. Its the third big travelling coaster in germany so maybe it will go to other smaller towns like Stuttgart or (like i wish) to my hometown Freiburg for example. And the newest photos, again from the use "pinion" from http://freizeitparkweb.de/cgi-bin/dcf/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=7480&forum=DCForumID4&viewmode=all: and from the user "websi": And one official picture were the trains had their front installed:
  14. ^^ the price is correct and it will finally open at the 15th of august.
  15. Another video of the ride: http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?&width=954&height=535&flashID=myExperience&playerID=14354322001&playlistTargeting=playlistRefID&isVid=true&isUI=true&autoStart=true&videoID=29327817001&lineupID=13911916001
  16. So finally the first train arrived and it looks beautiful.... no shoulder restraints and a nice color theme. Here is the link to the pics, but you had to open it twice, to be directly linked to the pictures: http://onride.de/viewtopic.php?p=730189#730189 and there was a picture on http://freizeitparkweb.de/dcf/User_files/4a575c7018eac11d.jpg which showed that they had to correct something for the new trains on the track:
  17. ^ no, like he said that was from the promotion test run with 130 Km/h, not with final speed with over 207 km/h
  18. Here is a better video of the ride: after the advertsiment you`ll see how it rides through the track: http://www.bild.de/BILD/lifestyle/reise/2009/07/ring-racer-nuerburgring/schnellste-achterbahn-der-welt.html
  19. First, its not opened to the public... there is still a lot work to do! It just has a kind of soft opening for some people. It will open with the rest of the park in the middle of august. And the launch didn`t have the final speed in the video. They just launched it with 130 km/h, for that event. The final speed with over 200 km/h was not yet achieved. So i think its slower than 2,5 seconds. But the first ride reports said that it is a lot of fun... even with this slow speed. Especially in the front row.
  20. its nearly completed, so here the newest really nice pics from http://freizeitparkweb.de/cgi-bin/dcf/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=7480&forum=DCForumID4&viewmode=all again from the user "pinion" <- big thx for them:
  21. In a german forum they said that the first ride will be taken on sunday by "Michael SChuhmacher", the ex world champion of the F1.
  22. ok here a new wonderful pics from http://freizeitparkweb.de/cgi-bin/dcf/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=7480&forum=DCForumID4&viewmode=all thanks to the user "pinion":
  23. It is in Hamburg.... like i wrote in the first post
  24. yeah, youre right! the sign says its a new kind of interactive ride.... i think by interactive they mean you can swing with the plan to 55 degrees in both directions with your body movement. So i corrected the thread.
  25. ABC builds a coaster like interactive powered thing in the small german park "Potts Park" which is called "Turbo Drachen". Meanwhile the first employes riding this one! Here are the pics from http://freizeitparkweb.de/cgi-bin/dcf/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=7353&forum=DCForumID4&viewmode=all, which were made by the user "Friesi": and some older pics, to get a better view of the layout:
