It looks great too. While the CW site does list a Fast Lane option for corporate customers, it doesn't mention it's availability for the GP. The CP site doesn't list any mention of a Fast Lane option, but continues to offer their VIP tours, which is decent if you have a party of four or more. I certainly hope options are available at all CF parks this summer, cause when you travel overnight to visit a park, ensuring you get on all the desired rides makes it very worth while. -

I'm not so sure I'd call it ugly, but think it does take a little getting used too. The two things we haven't seen yet, which may make it more attractive is how it looks from far away, and the night-time lighting package. Those big beefy yellow lift supports may really pop at night. -

Yes, it is temporary. The put two yellow lift pieces together today in the creek and spent some time up on top of the first lift support, so we may see the lift reach the first support structure tomorrow. -

I believe they asked when GB was under development. I believe this time, they not only asked but paid through the nose for the right to build within the creek. The good news imo is that when the creek is back to normal, Skyrush will be a VERY photographic ride. -
Couldn't agree more ginzo, but wouldn't go as far as a white table cloth restaurant, but a quality steak house for example would be a home run in my book. I used to stay at Breakers, but given the cost and total lack of expected "standard" amenities like free in-room coffee, I stay at Lighthouse Point. My last Breakers experience was finding out I had to go to the lobby for a free cup of coffee and then find out they provide the liquid extract Dowe Egbert - WTF. I certainly would patronize a quality restaurant within the park if one exists.

Yup, they are taking a very different approach when compared to I305, but what really caught my eye was the steepness of the lift. WOW ! This ride is going to be thrilling right from the start no doubt -

Good find and perfect example. All Arrow coasters are pretty beat by today's standards. -

It truly is a beautiful structure to look at and having ridden it opening year, I couldn't agree more that it just meanders through the course. At least opening year, it was faster, but no less thrilling than it is today. It's a shame the ride is so bad, and hope it gets a topper track make-over cause in my opinion, it truly could be a thrilling ride with a major make-over. -
I totally agree and believe his experience with Disney sealed the deal for his selection. Increasing the number of shows and mobile entertainers within the park is certainly something all the CF parks would benefit from. My only concern would be that world record breaking rides could take a back seat to more family friendly "thrill" rides. I personally don't understand how rides like Cheetah Hunt fall into this category given it has a loop along with it's height. The one thing I completely agree with Dick was his philosophy that rides with loops eliminate 50% of the general public. I'm sure the next CP coaster is well under development and hope it continues their tradition of world class thrill rides.

I would think the lift will be complete within the next week or two. Obviously a lot depends on the weather, but it has to be next on the list. Sections of the ride like the 80 foot hill can't be completed with the crane in it's current position, cause it blocks the crane's exit route. -
While I completely agree more interactive characters on the midway, bands, and even shows would be a good addition to all CF parks making them more attractive to the entire family, I'm a bit concerned after looking at the Cedar Points numbers, listed on their web site: Coasters 17 24% Thrill Rides 15 21% Family Rides 20 28% Just for Kids 19 27% Total 71 100% Call me crazy, but when I look at the numbers Cedar Point has a nice balance of rides. I'm afraid they are listening to a "consultant" who is just validating his Disney experience and playing into his comfort zone. While families within their 300 mile market will travel for a family ride, potential customers outside of that radius generally won't. World record coasters is what put CP on the gloabal map and hope they don't abandon that successful formula moving forward. I for one will be very disappointed if CP's next ride is something like Cheetah Hunt or Verbolten, especially given their respective cost, and certainly won't make the effort from Boston to go there.

Well here is another stunning construction video from the creek itself. That airtime hill will certainly deliver ejector air, while the drop and "dive" look great. What's really good with this vid, is the creek is once again flooded, so you can get a sense of how this ride will look when completed, basically over water - AMAZING (imho) -

Yes quite a bit was done last week. The other half of the lift hill has been started, along with the loading station, winch for the lift, AND some amazing turns. The final turn over comet before the brake runs looks like it's 90 degrees as well. Thanks for our favorite steel worker here are his three (3) latest videos and well worth watching (imho) Call me crazy, but this looks like the must ride for 2012 ! -

Very little since the last update. The construction crew had the weekend and yesterday (Monday) off. Everyone should be back on-site today ! -

I think Leviathan will rank at or above MF, with Skyrush being the dark horse of 2012 and cracking the top 10. -

I completely agree the animated video was very underwhelming - but with the latest batch of pictures, my opinion has completely changed. And for those that are left questioning weather or not this will be the "must ride" of 2012, our favorite steel worker has posted TWO new videos ! This one is from the street, showing track work within the creek And this one is over where the station is currently being constructed -

I completely understand how the train design is a bit confusing, but given this will be the world's first coaster with edge (wing rider) seating with only a lap bar, I'm pretty excited. I personally think the edge seats will be vastly more popular or in demand than the floored seating, and see the logic on how this design could eliminate the vibration issue while also catering to the those not wanting the full "thrill." -

Well, for those that think Skyrush will only be an average coaster, the latest construction video may change your mind since the Stengal Dive is now complete ! Being on that first train as well as a Jr Researcher, I could be bias, but this really is moving fast and looking sweet ! -

I've been talking to the steel worker who took the video below and wanted to share his latest thoughts : Glad u like the vids. I was shooting them for family and friends. The roller coaster fans seem to really like them too which is fine with me. Thats why I made them public. I would say the yellow braces are an accident. I'd guess that Hershey will have them painted blue to match when we are finished as they have painters come in to touch up places that got "dinged" due to shipping/construction. -

There will be two major lift supports, but as you can see from the construction pictures, there are at least four smaller supports as the train travels down the drop into the first turn, which is the bottom of the first drop. Going up, there will be some smaller supports as the train leaves the station.
