  1. 3 200ft attractions? Sounds like an S&S Triple Tower ride. PARACHUTE FALLS IS GOING TO GO! NOOOO!
  2. I took yet another visit to Wild Waves, this time with more than 30 minutes to do things. I took more photos this time, and I even took 4 POVs! Since I had trouble trying to upload them to TPR as a file, I'll just post the YouTube video links. Please note: I took these POVs with the permission of Wild Waves Theme Park ride operators, and I took full responsibility for my actions. NEVER take a POV on a ride without park permission, and make sure you are able to hold your camera in a way that is comfortable but firm, so you won't let go of it during the ride. Know the forces on the ride you are riding and ensure that they are not enough to knock the camera out of your hands. "On the road again...." I hate tolls! Old bridge, new bridge! Artsy artsy artsy! The same sign as the last TR I took, this time in SUNSHINE! We quickly reserve a spot by the wave pool.... We were some of the 1st people into the park, so we still got to see some of the invisible people as they were making their way out of the park. Employees were still walking around. The games were quite popular with the invisible people. PARC represent! I-5 Dive Skycoaster. Has Steve been on this one yet? Hey Larry! Here's an index shot for 'ya! Classico Arrow Looping Shot. Sadly, not open yet. =( We're the 1st riders of the day on Disk'O Flashback! "You're my 1st riders. Don't you feel special? Hello, and welcome to the Disk'O. You must be 48 inches or taller in order to ride this ride. Please no gum chewing or spitting while on this ride. Take note that Wild Waves Theme Park is not responsible for any loose articles brought on the ride. You may set any loose articles on the exit deck. Thank you for listening and enjoy your ride on the Disk'O!" It was pretty rough because of the lack of riders. When we were done with Disk'O Flashback, Wild Thing opened. Lift hill shot! Button shot. Did you know that this coaster was once completely white and was one of the star attractions of a traditional Rhode Island theme park? Hey Larry! Another sign shot! Hang Glider is a 2002 Zamperla Gliders ride. One of many 2002 Zamperla rides at this park. Falling Star. I learned that its vehicle is hiding to the right of Lumber Jack Falls's lift hill. I think it's being painted. Another shot for Team Staten Island. A few people finally made it into the park. Guess what? Another sign shot! This is one old carousel! The Paratrooper; an older ride. I almost wish this was like the one at Silverwood and most fairs, where you can ride more than once. Larry should be drooling himself to death, by now. Timberhawk: Ride of Prey. Also not open yet. Darn you, All Theme Park Rides Open At 11:00 Policy! See what I mean? Falling Star, only wagon themed and mini. The Gambler.... ...no suprise here. We wanted to ride the slide down. But it wasn't open all day. Fright Fest. The only time when I'll ride I-5 Dive, becuase it's only $10 per rider on the very last day of the year! KidTums credit. 2 Larry Credits in one picture! LJF sign. Ready for some broken ribs, anybody? Whoever is in the right seats right now, your ribs are about to be broken. But not as badly as the people in the left seats! 3. 2. 1. OH MY GOD! MY FREAKING RIBS! It suddenly quit working. RIGHT as we were about to get on it! So we've broken 1 ride today, I suppose we can't break any more, right? Timberaxe's sign seems... abit lopsided today... Broken. I didn't break it... this time... Sit in the middle, and you will get wet! The ride-ops let us on. When we got off, they said that they shouldn't have let us on because it wasn't 11:00 yet. So they told anybody waiting in line that the ride 'had technical problems'. So, 'technically', this is the 2nd ride I broke today. Zamperla is doing REALLY well right now! If I wouldn't have broken the ride, you'd be seeing a big SKLOOOSSSHHHH!!! right now. KGR opened again... So we rode again. These poor people don't know what they're in for! The last turn. The worst turn. Let's try Timberaxe again. It's themed to an axe. Rawr! I'm a bear! Give me some candy! This ride has a lowering platform just like Hammerhead Shark. However, the platform is not grated, so little pine needles can't fall through it. The restraints wouldn't lock properly. Broken Zamperla ride #3. Next, with a random kid I talked with while on Timberaxe, I rode Ring of Fire. I shouldn't have. UPSIDE DOWN! On our way to get lunch, we notice how busy the waterpark is. Unlike the stamps at Williams Grove, these take 3 seconds to come off! I'll post more later. Thanks for reading!
  3. Radio Controlled Hats. I honestly think that's a pretty original name, idea, and theme! Funny and awesome; really, you should keep it!
  4. And I thought I'VE ridden too many Skycoasters! This is a pretty sad accident. I've always wanted to go on a SCAD Tower, especially the one at Extreme World, but I'm sure the park is going to get a lot of crap for this accident.
  5. Silverwood in about a week!
  6. No. It isn't bad, but Taco Bell, real, and Mexican don't go in the same sentence.... Unless, of course, not or isn't is in there too. Is your local park more than one hour away from you?
  7. Now that I've been to a few more parks, I think I can update my list: Any drop/launch tower (S&S, ARM/Larson, Intamin, etc.) Any 'spinning discus' ride (maXair is best, La Revolucion is next) Any Screamin' Swing Enterprise Eagle's Flight at CGA (forget what that type of ride is called) Paratrooper Most Observation Towers Tilt-A-Whirl Top Spin Zamperla Inverter Zaperla Disk'O (Disk'O with airtime hump preferred) Zamperla Kang-A-Bounce
  8. Occasionally. I did it more when I was young (and when I saw trains more often), but I sometimes do when I'm in Mount Vernon. Have you had a soft drink in the past week?
  9. ^Same here; Kong and B:CtC at SFDK. I can say that pretty much all the Arrows I've been on aren't bad, but I haven't been on enough Vekomas to rate them as a whole yet.
  10. I got this on Kong. I'm sure it happens on most other SLCs, though.
  11. For a small park, the types of coasters I'd recommend would be wild mouse of some kind, kiddie coaster, mini woodie, and/or Boomerang. The Boomerang could be your 'major' coaster, while the kiddie coaster, mini woodie, and/or wild mouse could serve as smaller, family oriented attractions. A Corkscrew instead of a Boomerang might be even better.
  12. ^ 1)Crazy talk! 2)Because they need another good 'family coaster', even if it requires you to be tallish. 3)More crazy talk. 4)Again. Also, wouldn't building a rocket coaster take away from S:TE? It would be more practical to either keep S:TE and make changes or demolish the whole structure and replace it with the Rocket Coaster, or even something else. Sure, those are all very interesting ideas (I honestly think so), but let's face it. It's most likely not going to happen. The changes will probably be something much more reasonable. The popular idea of turning the car backward is impractical too, because of reasons mentioned above and more. As is the idea of completely converting the coaster to hydraulic launch. Interesting, faster, more intense, yes. But I honestly don't see how the hydraulic launch system could work. I think it would be more practical to make the system more power effecient. Electromagnetic technology is changing rapidly, and I'm sure Intamin has systems today that could be much more effecient (and maybe even more powerful) than their systems from 1997. I also think the idea of a drop tower may be good. Sure, they would really have to redesign the supports to allow a drop tower. But I still think it can be done.
  13. ^^I'm sure SF would already have a plan on what to do. It's not like they just close a ride, read the 'world's unofficially largest theme park forum' for ideas, and then do work based on ideas. If they really were reading our forums and working based on our ideas, SFMM would have an inverted-hyper-dueling-floorless-standup-X car-launched-shuttle-woodie with 13 inversions.
  14. ^Not only would they have to hire more employees to duel it, but then there's the problem of double the already high power usage..... and at the same time.
  15. They need to keep that music in the station. It's one of my favorite station songs! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCV-7gxJI0E I wouldn't like a retheme, either. I do think a nice, fresh coat of paint would be nice, though. Thank you soooo much for posting that song. I've been dying to hear it since the last time I rode, which was 4 years ago I can relive it now Your welcome. It helps me relive my ride of it, too. Another thing for S:TE. I think if they lowered the front seats as much as possible and made the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rows stadium style (where the seat in front of you is lower than your seat, and the seat behind you higher) it would improve the overall experience. Sitting anywhere but the front, you know that the view is horrible, so raising the seats can help with that. Another thing to improve the view is to lower that really tall front-of-the-train, so that you can fell the wind in your face more.
  16. ^^You should post the Definitive RCT Guide in your signature, with your parks and the RCT Store. It is VERY useful, and I actually have it saved under favorites on my browser.
  17. Advertising, making a ride new, and bulding a ride that appeals to the 'average peep' makes a ride popular. A lot of scenarios are built with a 'preferred ride intensity' level which most guests will adhere to. For low, guests will want to ride lower intensity rides; for high, guests will want to ride higher intensity rides. Build rides to match the 'preferred intensity level' of most guests.
  18. ^I know. If sombody doesn't agree that it's by far the loudest roller coaster in the State of California, they're mad!
  19. ^Where did you get the song? I can never find it on iTunes!
  20. ^They let you skip the lines. But you can only do it once, because you get your name on some kind of plaque or list, along with the shirt. But yeah, I totally agree; go on a busy day and you won't have to wait in long lines!
  21. I watch this show, and I have all 6 episodes recorded! I'd like to do that Fearsome Foursome challenge like he did. The easiest and most exiting way to get a free shirt.
  22. I agree. I tag a lot of people in photos, so I guess these are good tips. I'll pass the link on too.
  23. They need to keep that music in the station. It's one of my favorite station songs! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCV-7gxJI0E I wouldn't like a retheme, either. I do think a nice, fresh coat of paint would be nice, though.
