Lagoon Discussion Thread
Jcoaster replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My two cents for this project is just a flat out question mark due to these facts: - In house production - Seems pretty ambitious for a park like Lagoon - It looks unbelievably ugly - Due to the fact this is an in house production we have no idea how it will run, how rough it will be and the train design. I'm going to this follow this project with a grain of salt (no pun intended) -

I have no idea why the water park is still such a huge priority. They have added on to it more recently then any other part of the park. This park really needs a new coaster to compliment Boulder Dash. -

I want to stress that I have no clue what's wrong with it as I'm no expert but it really does seem like some type of issue in that area based on the pictures. I agree with you about Green Lantern. Superman though is a decent ride. We rarely ride it because of the insane line it gets but if we ever see a manageable wait for it we take a ride. It's not in the same league as some other B&M flyers like Tatsu or Manta but it can be fun. Even if you hate the ride though it serves a very important purpose and that's to draw unimaginably long lines every day and keep people away from the better rides. For some reason this ride always has the longest or one of the longest lines in the park. Thats why I said in a perfect world . No but seriously Superman does serve a ver important purpose in crowd ratio. Flying Coasters are the kings of the gimmicky coaster. Have you ever walked along in the parking lot and watched the GP gape at Superman?

When you are charged 12.99 for 2 overly fried chicken fingers and 12 french fries without a drink included. -
Seriously, what the hell happened to Hydra??? I feel like this question needs answering. It was incredibly smooth when it opened. Every floorless I've ridden has at least a little rattle, but I would not call what Hydra has a "rattle", more like a serious maintenance problem. It doesn't ride like any B&M I've been on, more like an old Arrow or Vekoma. The height/speed stats are very modest, so there's no reason I can think of for why it would have gotten this bad. Really? I rode it a few weeks ago and even though it wasn't silky smooth I didn't find it rough.

Worst Coaster Ever?

Although it is far from the worst coaster ever, Green Lantern at Great Adventure. What the F*** did we do to deserve that ride? -

Smh you guys. If Time Machine ever came to TGE it would receive an original name, nothing to do with Led Zeppelin and nothing Six Flaggish. -
The Tickler is a god awful name. Me an my friend joke that we're waiting for "The Molester" to come out.

"Batman" anything. Enough with Batman please for the love of God Six Flags. -Batman: The Ride (9x) NINE F***ing times!!! -Batman: The Dark Knight -Batman and Robin the Chiller -Batman: The Escape -Batman: Knight Flight -BatWing (They got real real creative here) -Batman: Goes to School -Batman: Takes a Dump -Batman: Goes Food Shopping I would much rather them start naming coasters after Bruce Wayne.

Talon, Demon Drop and Possessed are the top three in the park in my opinion. ThunderHawk COULD be great if they release it from its trim prison. Stinger is just wasting space, I know it is a coaster blah blah blah, but honestly I just rather not even have it. It is an eyesore on top of it not operating. Hopefully Dinosaur's Alive goes soon as well as Stinger an they could maybe just MAYBE add a medium sized coaster like a GCI back there.....Yea i'm not holding my breath.

Only complete pussies have issues with Maverick's restraints. For the rest of us, they are just fine. Tall, but slightly fat people might not have the restraint come down all the way, so they have something to complain about. No, they don't. They are pussies. And then we would just get a whole new breed of pussies that would complain it's too tight on their legs. See: Skyrush. Well Im glad someone else agrees about Skyrush's restraint complaints. Some people really are as soft as Charmin on here. -

Only until it becomes a reality, naysayer. You'll see......You'll all see when the first 500 foot inverted Wacky Worm is installed at Great Adventure in 2016. -
