  1. I like breakers as well. However, I don't like breakers price tag. Breakers is a once a year hotel for us. Typically if you book it early or later in the year, the price is more down to earth. We stayed at Breakers express opening weekend, and were really impressed with the updates.
  2. Yea, I agree. The food was not "bad", we were just expecting food that was on par with Dollywoods. More on the food coming up.

  4. Today's update takes place from silver dollar city. This park has been on my radar for a long time now. I was really impressed with the park as a whole. The coasters were all top notch, and all had great theaming. Outlaw run is my new #1 coaster. It blew me away with the non stop attack of elements. The one thing that struck me as odd, was how hard it was to push up the lap bar when the ride was over. The only negatives we ran into at the park was the fact that they only run 1 train on the coasters. What's up with that? The lines defiantly warranted more than 1. Powderkegs line was not that long, but it still took a half hour. The other negative was the food....its not that the food was bad, but it just seems that it's sister park (Dollywood) had much better southern style foods. With that being said, we actually enjoyed this park slightly more than Dollywood. I attribute that to the coasters. The train ride was a blast. I love how you get held up. Besides the coasters, the flooded mine was another favorite. Onto some pictures.... Here we are! Our first stop was marvel cave There are lots of stairs....but defiantly worth every step. This cave is HUGE! The pictures just don't do it justice Looking up at the stairs we just walked down. Waterfall At the end of the tour, you board this train for the trip back to the surface. This is what the train looks like. Out of one cave, and into another. Flooded mine was an AWESOME shooter/dark ride. They actually let us stay on and ride again. You sit in this boat and shoot things. Station shot. Fire in the hole!!! I forgot to take a picture of the sign/ exterior This is just freaky....they were also located in the ride. First coaster in this park. Also, the longest line. Interesting theaming. There it is. The ride was made by S&S. The restraints are very similar to the giant swing rides the produce. This is only the 2nd S&S coaster i have been on. The first being hypersonic at kings dominion. Anybody know how many coasters they have built? Station shot. Anybody know what all this stuff on the train is for? We really got a kick out of the quirky signs around the park. Credit horring in the Ozarks This ride was a close call...i almost didn't fit I wish we were able to check out more shows. The only one we were able to see was the dog show. This is not your average swing ride This swing is located in a giant barn Being that the park is located in the Ozarks, the scenery is beautiful. Next up was the amazing wildfire The views from this coaster are breath taking. Great ride. This was the first time on the trip that I had to remove my fanny pack(yea...i know). It was not in the way, or intrusive of the restraint. Station shot Stay tuned....lots more to come from silver dollar city.
  5. In the states? I forgot about wicked cyclone...so 5 in the states.
  6. I've been on all but 5. Here are my rankings... 1. Outlaw run 2. Iron rattler 3. Texas giant 4. Goliath Going to be checking out Kentucky kingdom and Dollywood within a month to grab 2 more RMC'S.
  7. Besides smoking and cutting in line, my pet peeve would be riding a coaster behind someone with long hair and having it slap you in the face nonstop durring the ride.
  8. This was the plug for our air conditioning unit at the Magnusson(sp). What's weird, is that we stayed at another one of this chains locations down south, and it was up to Marriot levels. Total 360 from the sandusky location. Looks legit
  9. I kinda like the smaller parks like frontier city and adventureland over the big corporate parks. You don't have to run between attractions to get it all done. You can take your time.
  10. Yea, we made the mistake of giving this place a chance unfortunately. There was hair in the sink, counter, and on the sheets. Our sox were black from the nasty carpet, the tv only worked on 2 channels, dead bugs and cobwebs, toenails in the tub, stinky hallways(and room), the restaurant service was a joke, we walked in to check in and the sports bar in the lobby was playing rap music with f bombs. The keys for the rooms are like nothing I have ever seen before. The only thing this place had going for it was the location.
  11. Your kidding right? That place was a dump.
  12. Silver dollar city pictures are coming tomorrow.
  13. I forgot about the new waterslide, as we never went into the waterpark. I also forgot to mention that we stayed at the hotel directly next door to the park, and were able just to walk over instead of having to pay to park. That was an added bonus, as when I booked the room I had no idea that it was directly next door to the park....just close by. I also have to mention how nice the staff was as well. They were very efficient, and friendly. If I had to pick one negative thing from this park, it would be the food prices. We had gotten 3 small personal pizzas for lunch, and it was near $30. The pizzas were just enough for 1 person and came with a breadstick.
  14. I did not have high expectations going into this park, but we were highly impressed with it.
  15. More pictures from frontier city. Looks like a nice place to have a beer. The tumbleweed is a clasdic rotor type ride. The ride operator said tgat this ride came from six flags Texas. The whole family enjoyed this ride. The last coaster left to ride in this park is the wildcat. This coaster was bought and moved from another park a while back. This historical marker was near the entrance of the wildcat. It's hard to get a good shot of this coaster, as 90% of it is in the woods. While your waiting in line, they have these really cool rollercoaster history boards. Station shot One last look of the train entering the station. They had a free concert the day we were there. Not a huge country music fan, but who could pass up a chance to see the Charlie Daniels band? This park has a huge fest house style restaurant with a magic show stage, and arcade games. The parks log flume has the longest tunnel I have ever been in on a log flume. This had the longest line of the day They also have a rapids ride. In case you forgot, we are in frontier city The park also has a decent selection of rides also...like bumper cars The casino Tilt a whirl and many more The ferris wheel is located on the highest point of the park. I forgot to add this earlier, but Wildcats station also had this....my home parks shivering timbers A few last looks at frontier city That's it from frontier city, on our way to silver dollar city in our next update.
  16. Today's update takes us to frontier city theme park in Oklahoma city. This little off the radar park has a lot to offer for the entire family. They are home to 5 coasters, several spin and puke rides, shows, and a fun flume ride and dark ride. There is also a LOT for the kids to do. We really enjoyed this park, and would return in the future if in the area. Onto the pictures... So we left Dallas at 10am with plans on being at frontier city around 2pm. However, this guy held us up another hour and a half. How does this happen? Not only was he facing the opposite direc8 of traffic, but he ended up in a for in a construction zone. We made it! This is the entrance of the park. Inside this entrance, there is a large gift shop and the entrance to our first coaster. The diamondback coaster(Not the kings island version) Diamondback is a classic Arrow shuttle loop Station shot Nice train, ruff ride Wild kitty is the parks kiddy coaster. One more shot. The park has a bunch of miniature scale houses for the kids to play in. Complete with 2nd floor Lots for the kids to do. The park is nicely themed. Brain drain is the parks newest attraction. These things are popping up in parks everywhere. The lay of the land Nice landscaping everywhere Steel lasso is a mini suspended coaster. This coaster had a slightly different layout than the others I have been on. The coaster in action Fun coaster This was a fun shooter dark ride. Your chariot My favorite coaster in this park. The layout Classic goodness Station shot Loop D loop Lots of fun Lots more coming from frontier city...stay tuned.
  17. Interesting info. There was another section on the train with animatronics(see picture below). The ticket taker picture I posted in the report was also animated.
  18. A few more shots of six flags over Texas before we move onto our next park. Mr freeze This coaster launches you backwards up this spike. Station shot. You think that it would be nice and cool inside here, but it was about 100 degrees inside. I love how this park has giant misters all over the place to help keep you cool. Maintenance area under lavoba I believe this was supposed to be the "French" section of the park. Only thing in this section was some history of the park. Parks entrance courtyard and carousel We had a great time at six flags over Texas. Now onto our next park....Frontier city.
  19. Yea, both Texas six flags parks are great.
  20. You may not even need fast lane. Wait till you get there, and check out the line times before you buy it. Also, I'm not sure when it starts, but if you renew your pass later in the season they give you a fast lane plus to use this season.
  21. Yea...it was around 2 or 3. Fiesta was non stop spinning.
  22. Onto part 2..... The Spanish area has to be of the best theamed areas of the park. It contains la viboria, and this. Entrance to Spain There is also a teacup ride that I failed to get a good picture of. Next up we have a kick ass old school coaster...shockwave Walk on baby! I think this was last year's new attraction I love a good triple spin ride, and this one even had a theme to it. This year's new attraction is no joke.....well, actually it is Fun ride, but did not spin nearly as much as fiesta Texas Batman did. One last look This ride was never did open. Bummer, I was looking forward to it. The park has 2 mine rides. 1 for the kiddies, and one for adults. The adult version is a lengthy, and very well theamed coaster. Station shot The mini mine train was fun as well Blurry station shot Time for some credit horring Fun kiddie coaster. Hmmm....where have I seen this coaster before? Still a great ride, no matter how many I have been on. The station for the coaster also doubles as a disco. Love the name of this water ride. I'm surprised it's not used more at six flags parks. Justice league #2 Great addition to Six flags. This one was identical to the St Louis version. Time to get out of the heat and check out some shows. Can't remember the name of this show, but it was good. Chart toppers was another good show. As we were leaving the show, I noticed this on a seat. I hope it's not what I think it is. Lot's more from sfot coming up.....stay tuned.
