  1. I am extremely please they replaced it with Banshee also, love it. But you have to wonder now (in hindsight) what RMC could have done with it. If they can transform that hunk of garbage that was called Mean Steak into Steel Vengeance we will never know what could have possibly been done to SOB. If I remember correctly, substandard wood was used to build sob. It would have to of been completely replaced. At that point, I dont think it would be cost effective opposed to building from scratch. The ride sucked donkey ball's anyway. The last time I rode sob, I had a river of blood running down my leg from my knees slamming into the handlebars during the ride. Plus, my brain felt scrambled for like a week. Not sure how some people enjoyed this coaster. It was beyond terrable. I can't remember how many, but there several injuries connected to this ride as well. Out of all the coasters I have been on, this is the ONLY one I hated.
  2. This is what amusement ride accidents says... Amusement park log flume ride derails [July 29, 2018] A boat on a log flume water ride became lodged in a trough wall with 13 passengers on board at around 8pm at Kentucky Kingdom. The boat on the Mile High Falls descended its drop and overshot a partially broken guide rail, becoming stuck at approximately a 20-degree angle. All 13 passengers were evacuated by park employees, five seeking treatment at Kentucky Kingdom for evaluation. One declined treatment, two were treated for minor injuries and two requested transport to a local hospital, the park said. State ride inspectors and Kentucky Kingdom's maintenance staff are investigating and the ride will remain closed until the investigation and repair is complete. Amusement Ride Accidents I have heard rumors that this ride was on it's way out shortly, I wonder if this will seal the deal? Glad nobody was seriously injured as far as we know.
  3. Thank you. Raging bull is a great coaster, but trimmed a bit too much. Not sure why they trim it the way they do.
  4. Sorry about the delay to get the rest of the pictures up. Life can be crazy at times. Anyway, here is the final set of pictures from six flags great America. Raging bull is the parks largest steel coaster. Lift hill. A park staple Fun interactive water ride that closes at 4pm on a 95 degree day. The parks magic show was actually really good. The same magician puts on two different shows in the park. This is the small version of the show And here are a few shots from the larger show. Is this part of what makes B&M coasters so smooth? Random theaming The condor is a favorite ride of ours. My daughter tried to tackle the parks snow cone, but failed. Believe it or not, this was one of our daily snacks from the dinning plan. Construction markers in the demons line? The park is ramping up promoting it's very first Christmas in the park event. It's not a bird....its not a plane....its superman! I failed to get a decent shot of the man of steel. Logo! That's all from six flags! Hope you enjoyed the report. He loved it so much, we ended up having to ride it 6 times Classic arrow Not as popular as some coasters, but still pulls in a decent crowd. The demon was my sons first upside down coaster. We ended up riding it about 6 times in a row because he love d it so much.
  5. I heard that it was going to be either a restaurant, or Halloween haunt building.
  6. I remember going to a TPR event at the park the year before skyrush was built, and the day before the event the park had a flood. The pavilion we were scheduled to be in was completely submerged. But to our amazement, overnight Hershey was able to clean the whole area out to where it did not look like anything ever happened. Needless to say, we were amazed how fast they were able to recover after a flood.
  7. Here is a shelf of nothing but park brochures I have collected over the years. I have several boxes as well that would not fit on the shelf.
  8. Looks like the park made national television, but not for good reasons. ABC world news tonight.
  9. ABC world news tonight just did a story from Hershey park. They said the park will be closed till at least Friday. Here are some pictures from the story.... This is worse than I thought. Even a shot from knobles
  10. The thirsty pony and quicker steak and lubes is near breakers Express as well. I recommend thirsty pony. They have a great beer selection, and food. The chicken wings and pizza are my favorite.
  11. Thank you! I'm going to try and have the final set of pictures up today.
  12. And this is why six flags installed numbered drink holders in the stations. Not only does it prevent a spillage in the cubby, but it improves drink cup sales and guest satisfaction.
  13. Give them the option to take that risk. If they don't want to take that risk, lockers are available. I worked on several coasters at cedarpoint in the past. We had cubbys on the platform that people used all the time. During my 3 summers at the park, we never had anything stolen. The only situation I remember is that someone accidentally took someone's bag(2 bags looked alike), but returned to the station minutes later once they realized they had the wrong bag. All the park has to do is put up signs stating that they are not responsible for lost or stolen items, and to leave things at your own risk. Problem solved. As stated earlier in this mess, I would not mind waiting the extra 5% longer in line due to the delay that this might cause in a few cases if it means I can have my phone with me in line. It has nothing to do with the cost of the locker( although it is shady) to me, but the inconvenience and pain in the ass. And while they are at it, they should consider adding souvenir cup holders in the stations as well like six flags does. Nothing like standing in line for 2 hours on a 95 degree day with the only option is a $5 soda out of the machine.
  14. Surprisingly, the park will open tomorrow.
  15. They are removing the horses from the carousel to prevent damage. Watch the video here.... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1534117966692630&id=164085777029196
  16. This tour looks like a great time! Thank you for sharing. A few years ago, there was a show (I believe it was on the travel channel) about all that goes into the Christmas decorations at Disneyworld. They had some footage of the wearhouse and the full time staff on hand all year that work on the decorations. It was really interesting, and always thought it would be fun to tour this area.
  17. It was true during my visit this past weekend. I witnessed this in person.. but over the weekend they allowed you to put glasses in your pocket on SV Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk So I can put a $500 pair of glasses in my pocket to get crushed or fall out and hit somebody, but not a cell phone? I have been on this ride several times, and wore straps on my glasses every time. At no point, did they even come near the point of feeling like they were in any danger of falling off.
  18. Now I am hearing that they are not allowing eye glasses on the ride, even with a strap on them. Not 100% sure this is true, but a few people on Facebook have mentioned this. If this is true, as much as I like this ride I am done with it. I am blind without my glasses.
  19. I guess a lap bar came open(according to a guest) on the parks lighthouse ride. No injuries or harm done, but kind of interesting that the park went onto social media to report the incident. It's good to know that they take these things seriously.
  20. Some more pictures from six flags great America. The dark knight indoor coaster. The indoor waiting area used to be seating for a show. My son is also able to ride this coaster now as well. This is just one of the reasons we choose six flags over cedar fair parks. The kids can ride a lot more. Control panel. The lobster. Fun ride! I'm glad they decided to keep this ride. Batman doing its thing. X flight is a great wing coaster I love the keyhole thru the tower Ricochet is a great ride. Another ride I am glad they kept. Uh oh...a closed ride!!! Six flags must be the worst park chain ever. Big Lou wants you to put his beef in your mouth. This drink must have been inspired by trump. A few interesting things I found in the gift shops. Cyborg shirt? Is this a hint as to what the park will be getting in the future? Stay tuned for the last update.
  21. Disney does this on rides as well(they use a netting, not clear plastic). It's a great idea, but I wonder how many people would forget things in them and return to retrieve it.
  22. For people that think this is purely a money grab by the park, it is my understanding that the lockers are not owned by the park. With that being said, I also hear that a large portion of the locker fee goes to the locker company. Is there any truth to this, or was the employee that I heard say this crazy?
