  1. Time for Canada eh. Canada is the last country in the world showcase. There are some shops, restaurant, a movie, and a live band called "off kilter", that is really good. Canada. There is a lot of landscaping in canada. Probaly more than any other pavilion. It's the batcave. Actualy, it's where the canada movie is shown. If you want a good steak, this is the place to go. It is very hard to get a reservation to this place. Cool looking buildings. Another view. The view of the globe from canada. There is a large garden that you can walk thru. We decided to eat dinner here. We have ate here a few times, and is still one of our favorate restaurants at epcot. The entrance to the steak house. The restaurant is themed to a wine celler. The food was so good, that I forgot to take a picture of the food before I ate it. I got the chocolate moose for desert. My friend got the smores. My friend Jason and his wife joined us. Off kilter band. The show in canada. On the way to the show, we checked out a few of the shops. There are a few shops tucked away in the back. There is a show in there somewhere. Yayyy......found the show. The waiting area for the show. It's another one of those shows that you have to stand to watch. The show is a circovision show. They kept noting that Martin short is from Canada....Not sure I would be too proud of that. One last look at off kilter. Ant band that can play led zepplen as good as they did, deserves props. Next update will be the rest of epcot, and a ride in the front of the monorail.
  2. Cedarpoints blog has posted some pictures of the celebrity visiters... http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/2010/8/10/Madness.cfm
  3. This is great stuff..... What park are they at today? Did they do six flags St louis yet?
  4. Oops..I forgot these pictures. I think this is where the boat shuttle from one of the resorts comes in. The bridge from France, to the united kingdom.
  5. The new slide is great, but can you really say it's a rollercoaster?
  6. Good thing Lebron did not go to kennywood park to ride the new coaster. On a side note, you may want to keep an eye on cedarpoints facebook page for the 2011 announcement. 7. My favorate time to go is in sept. If not sept, the first week in oct is good as well.
  8. Before I was a TPR club member, I bought my tickets at the local AAA office. The office is right down the street from the park, so it was no big deal to swing by there to buy them.
  9. Join club TPR. You get discounts on nearly every park in america, and a buch overseas as well. Look here... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=54430
  10. I agree. I thought it was against the law to have fun in this country anymore? Anyways, that place looks like a blast. Next time we hit sfstl, we will check it out.
  11. Next up, we have the United Kingdom. This area does not have an attraction, but there is shopping, meet and greets, and beer. There is also a few places to eat, like a fish and chips stand, and a pub with a good selection of beer and a full menu. The only entertainment this area offers, is a beatles tribute band. They are actually really good. This is a small update, as there is not much but some shops and the restaurants. Today, I bring you the United Kingdom. My daughter loves this area, because of the meet and greet. They have a fish and chips counter service, and a restaurant. Another meet and greet area. They also have lot's of shops. Not sure what this was for, but it was nice. There is a gazebo area that has a beatles knock off band. They were actualy pretty good. If you want a good beer, and a meal....this is the place to go. They have phone booths in case you need to make a call. The next area will be of Canada.
  12. Only $40 for parking? It's $70 for a parking pass at SFGAm! I got my season and parking pass at six flags in atlanta. Even though six flags chicago is closer to me, I always get my pass at another six flags park because it's cheaper.
  13. I stayed at the days inn next to the park, and I have stayed at the campground as well. The campground is ok, but don't count on the shuttle for the park to be there on time. The days inn is nice, and they have a decent breakfast bar.
  14. The wild mouse coaster there, is the craziest mouse coaster I have ever been on. I am not sure how the wheels did not snap off during the ride.
  15. Thank you. Yea, it may just me expecting something else. I would have thought that with things like the grand canyon, yellowstone, smokey mountains, great lakes...ect..ect, that there would be something like that in the show.
  16. I found a really cool tool(hey, that rhymes ) that AAA has for fuel estimates. http://www.theautochannel.com/link.html?http://www.fuelcostcalculator.com/TripGasprice.aspx Last time I drove down to florida, it was really close to what I spent. I think it was within $15 of what it cost me in gas. It's a good thing to use when planning a trip that your going to be driving to.
  17. Look how much pizza will cost you at a cedarfair park. Almost $13 for the same thing you got at storybook land for $6.99. Pizza anyone? Don't worrie...you can buy a soda for almost $4 as well.
  18. You do have to ask yourself though....Is that extra $100 a night worth 1 extra hour of ride time? We always stay just outside cedarpoint, and pay less than half of what cp charges for a room.
  19. Airline tickets have really gotton out of hand. A few yers ago, I got tickets for me and amy for around $175 each round trip. Last year, same airline, same dates, the tickets were $300 each round trip and that did not include all the new baggage fees they have now. it would also cost another $100 round trip in baggage fees. So when all said and done, it would cost us $700 to fly down to florida from Michigan. With the new baggage fees and increse in flights, it is a LOT cheaper for us to just drive to florida. So we did drive last time, and it only took us 18 hours each way, and $300 round trip in gas. Not to mention, it was nice to have a car in florida.
  20. That extra $40 I spent to add parking onto my six flags pass has paid for itself 10x over. A few years ago before we did the season pass parking option, we stayed at the grand hotel right across the street from the park(nice hotel), and it was only a 10 min walk. It was maybe a 1/4- 1/2 mile walk. That's only like walking around the park 1 more time. We were there for 2 days, and saved $30-$40 in parking.
  21. The trip report is from a few different trips to disneyworld. The last trip we made was in feb during a cold snap in the weather. So the crowds were a little lighter. We tend to go in sept or oct a lot, when the crowds are lighter.
  22. The $6.99 you paid for the 2 slices and a soda, is a steal for an amusement park. You should see how much 2 slices of pizza and a soda will cost you at a cedar fair park. Nice trip report.
  23. To me, I like both. I love to hit that 300 foot coaster, but at the same time, I love Disney as well. Is it possable to like both?
  24. The next country up is France. France is a relatively small pavilion compared to some of the others, but they pack a lot in with the space they have. France is a very well themed area. Beautiful landscaping. And the food.......... They have a short movie about france. Waiting room for the show. The view of the lake from france. They have some neat street shows in france. France also has a lot of shops. Forgot to add this picture of the show theater in france. The detail that Disney has put into the buildings is great. The french restaurant. It has some really great food. Next update....England.
