  1. Oh I didn't know that. Weird because on the map at American Adventure it still says a Six Flags Theme Park. What isn't opening in 2010?
  2. American Adventures is still owned by Six Flags
  3. I heard the Drop Tower was scrapped after the investigation was over.
  4. If I am thinking right law requires you to be at least 18 to operate heavy machinery so the kids can't. But with the way the economy is right who knows if that plant will be open much longer (If it still is open).
  5. If this is true I hope they do come to an agreement. Too often people don't look past the Roller Coasters or how few rides they have when talking about a park closing. There is no way to doubt this will put a huge dent in the Louisville Economy and will only cause misfortune for the employees of the park and its vendors. Not to mention the local businesses (Restaurants, Gas Stations, Hotels) who will see less customers which they may counter by getting rid of some employees.
  6. Wow I am shocked! I figured this park had atleast one more season in it.
  7. The Today Show had a preview of Harry Potter. All they have up right now is about a minute long recap. But I am trying to find the full preview. tv.yahoo.com/daytime/video/today-regis-kelly-wendy-williams/17861256/ EDIT: Found the full version along with info on the extraordinary class contest. today.msnbc.msn.com/id/35185063/
  8. Hey Theme Park Review a campaign has started to help bring back the famous Blue Streak roller coaster at Conneaut Lake Park. $125,000 is needed to reopen the Blue Streak. Any donation will help! www.conneautlakepark.com/bluestreak.html Also here is the story from the Meadville Tribune www.meadvilletribune.com/local/local_story_031214143.html?start:int=0
  9. I recommend you starting your own thread that showcases your great collection instead of hijacking someone else's thread! Looks like cool stuff. People would probably love to see it, but it will most likely get buried in a different thread than if it was on it's own. --Robb Thanks. I didn't really see the point of starting my own thread as I don't have as much, so I figured since this was on the topic of collections.
  10. Impressive collection! Great to see such items being well cared for! The First 100 years of Conneaut Lake Park (A very rare book to find) Here is a map of the now defunct Six Flags New Orleans Finally my only Historical Disney Item a 1988 Disneyland guide.
  11. Did they hit you? No but they were making threats towards me and another guest in line. Plus the parents had 3 of their friends and one of them tried climbing over the fence to get me. It was funny though because when security came up and escorted them out of the building the whole line (Which had built up to about an hour wait) started cheering when they were getting taken out. Later in the day a few guests congratulated me for not giving in to them.
  12. I did it really wasn't "Amazing" but it was kinda interesting.
  13. I did once when some parents started getting violent towards me.
  14. They shouldn't... Than every park would be full of classic rides
  15. I had another incident back in 2006 while running the Witches Stew. A mom came up carrying her son who was legless. Now when you ride the Witches Stew the only think holding you in is a single seat belt. And the ride can be a very slow ride or a wild ride (Not much control due to free spinning). So my first reaction was to deny him because I was worried about his safety. The mom than started flipping out over it. But I fell I did right because the PA rules for rides gives ride operators the right to deny someone a ride if the operator feels the rider's safety would be put at risk.
  16. I wouldn't go as far to to "Boycott" the ride. I suggest writing a letter to the park explaining how there is not enough for kids who are under 42". And who knows if they get enough letters they may realize something needs to change.
  17. ^ The first clue makes it sound like some kind of post Closing Show?
  18. Rumors are saying some kind of Skate show... I hope that isn't true.
  19. I remember one person who told me I should flip burgers because I may be better at that job
  20. Some cases the state sets restrictions as well. We have a few out here that the Pennsylvania Dept of Agriculture set for us.
  21. I am sure the restraint was lose because that was the show model. I am sure when it debuts on the Voyage the restraints will be secure for anysize. And knowing Holiday World they wouldn't have it any other way.
