Great to see another Terrain coaster going in. Kinda reminds me of Thunderbolt's Terrain.

You can find me on select weekends doing just about everything at Conneaut Lake Park.

It is IE 7 and yes I am running 1024 by 768

I think this has already been noted, and it would crack me up if they did, what if Cedar Point gets in a dinky little portable coaster for their kid's area this year, just to spite SFMM. That would be so Dick. That might work if the law wasn't put in place in Ohio where parks/fairs are not allowed to operate portable coasters To make it even more ironic Cedar Point could buy the roller skater from Kentucky Kingdom, they could call it Snoopy's World Record Coaster. Out of curiosity (I'm not trying to be smart) but how does Ohio classify a coaster as portable? I mean Wildcat at CP might fit the bill as a portable but obviously it has met some legal criteria. I think Wildcat was safe because of how long it has been sitting there. But I know the carnival operators got screwed out of the deal and it is causing IX Indoor Amusment Park attendance to drop because it is not allowed to operate its main attraction.

Well BBW and Eagle's Fortress endured more forces than Ninja and Iron Dragon which are more gental than other suspended coasters. So they are not getting as beat up as bad. But I can see Vortex and Flight Deck having a shorter life left than Ninja and Iron Dragon.

I just saw this on Screamscape http://www.screamscape.com/html/six_flags_kentucky_kingdom.htm No word if it is true or not but either way I would not be surprised if another company was interested in operating the park.

Six Flags didn't put Chang in. Chang opened for the 1997 Season and the park was sold to Premier at the end of that season.

I wouldn't freak just yet. I think some of the park is open year round so who knows they may just be doing some work to the part that is open. Now if it says closed indefinitely than I would worry....

I think you are getting confused with what the ride is. The SM ride at SFKK was a Drop Tower not a coaster like the others. The coasters cost more than the drop tower so removing them would be a huge loss for Six Flags but to remove the drop tower is little loss to Six Flags.
