  1. I prefer the T3 trains to the standard SLC trains since they do eliminate headbanging, but the ride is still awful because of how poorly it tracks and shakes you around. For me personally, the issue with T3 is how it tracks as opposed to the trains.
  2. I was always intrigued by Kings Island's Tomb Raider since I was blown away by Talocon and Tomb Raider looked to take the theming to another level. But of the ones I rode, my favorite would probably be Afterburn even though it isn't really a themed experience.
  3. Bummer to hear Timber Terror got buzz bars since the airtime on the first half was excellent with them, but they were having issues with a few of the rows last Labor Day weekend.
  4. Lake Compounce celebrated by shortening their name from Lake Compounce Festival Park to Lake Compounce. But don't worry, the big coaster came a year later with the Kiddie Coaster that adults aren't allowed to ride.
  5. ^ I think Zeus was retracked last year so it was running the smoothest of the coasters. I found it quite smooth. Hades 360 does rattle you around, but the Timberliners are very well padded.
  6. Cyclops and Zeus had these little plastic bins for small articles like phones, wallets, and keys. And bags could be placed on the ride platform. I don't have any photos of Hades 360's station, but I don't recall there being any lockers at the entrance so I imagine it's a similar set-up to the other woodies.
  7. How could I forget about the holy grail of uncleanliness!
  8. ^ I imagine that last part would frustrate a lot of passholders, but if the crowds are limited to a level where lines are almost non-existent like an after hours event, I would happily pay extra for that.
  9. ^ I'm fine with whatever seating arrangements are necessary for the parks to reopen.
  10. Considering the ops manually push some trains out of the station and stop others, I can see how it would diminish the experience.
  11. ^ Ok thanks for clarifying. So is the account they had an operator join them bogus or did the op just go for the ride because he could?
  12. ^ I'm surprised they just don't put a single rider on the end and a group of two on the other end, leaving a seat in between. The only other park I've seen a ride op join guests was on Kennywood's Thunderbolt.
  13. Thanks for the comparison shots!
  14. One of the more interesting things I saw on social media is how Lagoon is handling single riders on Wicked. Lagoon was only loading single parties on Wicked this past weekend. And since Lagoon doesn't allow single riders to ride alone in the front or back row, I was wondering how that would work. Turns out, they had operators ride with guests when the situation arose.
  15. ^ I rode Millennium Force a year ago today and thought it was running as smooth as ever.
  16. ^ I've had bad luck with Pony Express being closed when I visit, but my initial thought would be what else could they realistically fit on that plot of land?
  17. I agree Lagoon's price is high relative to a lot of other parks, but they have incredible operations and a large ride lineup.
  18. ^ I consider myself very fortunate to have ridden the Scandia Screamer since I showed up late on a cool Sunday night when the park was really empty.
  19. ^ Ah ok. Yeah I only knew of the two in California.
  20. ^ I sort of wish they just did that in past years rather than just close the ride on low attendance days, but they never did.
  21. I was curious how they'd handle Hades 360 since that ride has needed full trains in past years and I'm seeing online they're still loading the full train.
  22. ^ Where's that one? The one at Belmont was cool in that it had riders on both ends of the arm.
  23. ^ No problem! It really is among the most unique Six Flags parks.
  24. I'm surprised just how little notice they gave before reopening- just a few hours!
  25. It will be interesting if they use the hand sanitizer before boarding to prevent wipe-downs after each cycle or if they will do both as preventative measures.
