  1. Very beautiful park. Need to add it to my "one day I will get there" list.
  2. It is a drive, but I am just one state over.
  3. Liking the trip report, but making me a little worried. I am scheduled to sail on the Klassy Carnival Legend in less then a month. (Not my choice, if it was, we would be on RCCL)
  4. I would like to fist thank everyone involved in this years WCB. I was not able to attend the past two years, and I was a little skeptical about moving it to February from March. I have to say it was an excellent call. They crowds were down, the weather was not really that bad (Wind Seeker was kind of cold Sunday night). I have to agree with most, the Knotts day was outstanding, while even though fun, Magic Mountain was a little lacking. I have been to events at Knotts where they rolled out the red carpet for us, then they started to cut back so all we got was some ERT and lunch, not much more. Glad to see the tours and the Q&A back. I have to give Knotts kudos for the night ERT mix up. I actually enjoyed the front of the line pass with an extra half hour of park time, even though most of the rides I rode during that time did not have much of a line anyway. Magic Mountain was a fun day. I got all my credits in with a few new ones. I can even see their thinking with morning on the right side of the park and evening on the left side of the park, but like most others, I would have liked to see Apocalypse as one of the ERT rides. Lunch was not bad, and the Q&A was like past years (minus the water). My only fault with the day is that it felt like we were more of an inconvenience to the park rather than welcomed guests. Overall, it was a fun getaway weekend. Had some fun, met some new people and rode some new rides. Thanks again to all involved.
  5. Same with Magic Mountain in the past. Free if you get there early enough.
  6. Flights are booked, just have to get a car and room now. Side note: Robb, is there going to be an event T-shirt this year?
  7. Kayak is a good start, but if JetBlue or Southwest is an option, then you have to check their sites for fares. Tuesdays are good days to purchase tickets.
  8. -Couple new work shirts -Small tool set for my car -Jazz Warm-up jacket -and some money towards a new underwater camera housing Not much, but I also did not ask for much. I did however get everything on my list.
  9. Glad to hear about the group rate at the Knotts hotel. Lately I have bee staying at the Radisson just down the street. It is really nice, but the prices are either out of range, or dirt cheap.
  10. I am in. Just sent in my payment. Now I just have to wait two months.
  11. WooHoo! Good news indeed. Never could stand the taste of Pepsi, would just drink water instead. But Coke means Barqs, which is a much better rootbeer. But the downfall is Mr. Pibb. Dr. Pepper has no equal!
  12. I have been thinking about taking a cruise on the Freedom for a while now. I really want to go now thanks to your report.
  13. I think AK is a good choice for this project. The article is talking about creating a land and AK has the space. Now if it was just a ride, then Studio is the place to go. The movie and franchise is big in conservation and interacting with the creatures and land around. Wow, last time I was at AK there is conservation information all over the place. Like I said perfect location. Now if they throw in a couple big attraction in the mix, bonus for us.
  14. Excellent cause, but it seems that everyone is forgetting the senseless slaughter of great white sharks over at Universal. Here is an idea, maybe we can get some form of animal exchange between the two companies, to save them all.
  15. Well said a-mad, but you forgot something, in the summer you can also check out Shane's Cowabunga Bay, my favorite compact water park.
  16. Nice report of the park I have been going to all my life. Good call on the Crown burger.
  17. Thanks. The reports are just getting better and better.
  18. Japan looks so fun. If I was not going to Indonesia in a couple of weeks, I would be having fun in Japan right now.
  19. Enjoying the pics. Thanks for the post.
  20. Since my team, Jazz, did not make it to the finals (first time in many years), I am going to have to back a Western team. OKC or New Orleans would be fine with me, just not the Lakers (never have cared for them).
  21. Come to Wyoming. Gas just raised up to a whopping $3.55.
  22. Hey gang, If you like old school games like Pac-Man, check out this site: http://worldsbiggestpacman.com/ It is the worlds biggest Pac-Man game. There is no end to it, unless you lose. It just keeps going and going.
  23. Another good and exciting trip update. Thank you for taking those of us who can not get away until summer, on your world travels. I know that it must be taxing on ya, but keep up the good work.
