  1. The thing in the middle of the drop, if I'm not mistaken, keeps the boat straight (I would have said keeps the boat from falling off, but I remembered the old Arrow log flumes...), so the boat doesnt decide to turn a little and crash at the bottom. The boat isn't attached to any track except for the lift hills. Its guided by the walls and pushed along by the water.
  2. ^I wouldn't advise going again until May if possible. Schools are still having Spring Break for the next few weeks (different districts every week of course but still). April is definitely a bad time to go.
  3. ^Ditto. Maybe Cedar Fair, like Six Flags, is finally getting it. Theming=good.
  4. ^Well, who wouldnt like an air-conditioned room? I dont mind the park getting a new show. Just the name could have been better than 'Slambang'. It sounds like a energy drink. "Drink Slambang! It'll quench ya! It's the quenchiest!"
  5. ^Did Dick Kinzel take over Magic Mountain? Seriously, 'Slambang'?
  6. ^Yep. For every dozen there will be at least one bad egg.
  7. ^Simply by just looking at the povs of both Nitro and Goliath, I know that both are better than our own. Nitro alone has been voted in the top ten steel coasters numerous times.
  8. ^yeah i just noticed them. Some pretty nice touches me thinks. There was entire empty side of Papa John's at the Waterfront that could have been used for such a purpose as to have people pick up their orders from that side. And the waits are ridiculous for food. It'd be far more efficient in my opinion if they did this, even if they had to have a few more employees in the building itself.
  9. Luckily we didnt have the girl who asks if its anyone's birthday and stuff (although I do appreciate her efforts to make the day more enjoyable for people), so the lone moved prettty quickly.
  10. Was at the park today. Pretty crowded, so I got only a few rides. My cousin and some of her friends from up North (where they go to college) came down and wanted to go, and asked if I wanted to go, so I tagged along. For my cousin's friends, they've never been to Magic Mountain but had been to Discovery Kingdom, so they got quite a few firsts at SFMM We went on Tatsu, Terminator, Goliath, and Goldrusher, with the first three having at least an hour to two hour long line. Terminator's audio was down which sucked. And they really need to do something with the food court across from Goldrusher. Why dont they do what Costco does with its food? Have some windows just for ordering and others for picking up the orders? It'd cut the line down for sure. Other than that, more track has shown up for Mr Six's Dance Coaster.
  11. I would actually go for a B&M hyper coaster around the height of SFoG's Goliath and replace our Goliath with that. But a custom made Maverick style coaster would be nice
  12. ^ Mega Mountain? I'll be heading out to the park on Friday with some friends. Hopefully one will have a camera so I can post some photos.
  13. You can say that again! With the original trains, for some reason, I always felt a push by the seats as they rotated. The new trains make the rotating seamless
  14. Ditto about the stickers, but an amazing looking ride still
  15. ^ I would, if they offered Extreme Passes, because I already I have a Play Pass already.
  16. You mean I dont have to be 42' to ride this?! waaahooooo! *backflips* Although, I did like the old play structure. Now if only they'll get a watercoaster...
  17. ^ I'm sure even that would have problems of its own
  18. Then how would you time it at specific parts of the ride?
  19. ^There are sensors along the track which tell the train's audio system which song or audio to play.
  20. Huh, I thought it would be filled with vegetation and stuff that was part of the Skull Island movie set.
  21. Whatever happened to the Millenium Flyer trains that were testing on Gwazi?
