I think I've seen this pirate in the Long John Silvers in Riverside,CA....or maybe it was a costume party in Fullerton.

X hands down is the best coaster in the world. For those who haven't been on it you really cant explain in words the intensity of the ride. Millenium Force,Tatsu and Kinda Ka are a close second.....in my book that is.

I knew somebody would spot it.....Iam going on Friday and hope to get sum pics of Monorail Red in action.

I agree with the trains being CHEESY but Iam looking forward to riding it regardless.....first time I've been excited about a Knotts ride.

Colossus will be 30 years old on June 29 and Ninja will be 20 on May 21....both are deserving of a celebration.

Schools out here get out around June 10. You should be cautious after the 10th or you might be standing in long lines and not to mention it often gets extremely hot in Valencia during he summer so I would say before June 10 and sometime during the week is good but if you have to go on the weekend Sundays are the best. I've always heard that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the beat days to go during the week.

Scream is one of my favorites at SFMM....but whats with the parking lot underneath? I know all of you are aware of it but did anyone here anything @ WCB about fixing this??

I agree that Knotts is not as bad as people think....but when you are going up against SFMM and Disneyland you really have to set yourself apart somehow and I think Knotts is trying to at least do that.

The locker policy is bogus but I don't mind cause when I come to the park I leave my Gym clothes at home.

Nice update. Things are looking real nice I cant wait to see in person. X2 will be awesome with the new paint job and those bitchin' new trains I think tunnels or no tunnels fire or no fire the ride will be a hit this summer.

Iam 25 years old and I've been visiting SFMM since I was 8 years old. I cant agree more with Robb's post about negative attiudes toward SFMM. I read some of these post and I get so angry when I hear people put down my favorite park... especially the people who haven't even been there and just go by word of mouth. We can all agree that mistakes were made in the past and sum here in the present but if you love the park like I do you will support the efforts to bring SFMM up to "mainstream standards" cause what it boils down to is the park isn't good enough for the mainstream but if you ask the majority of SoCal residents they will have little to no problem visiting SFMM. The park has been good to me and the 10-15 people that go with me and my family EVERY year. All that time and and I've never heard neg. comments like I do when I come on here. I hate to quote Robb so I wont but a wise man once said "we cant hold every theme park to DISNEY standards"

Anybody else have Knowledge on the matter??

From what it sounds like I don't think were gonna see tunnels on X2...In order to finish them by May 24 they will have to start within the next week or so. I don't think they can start construction until the testing of the trains is complete.....anybody else have any idea whats going on with tunnels? Also whats holding up the Thomas Town??? From the pics I've seen there hasn't been anything going on.

I think some music and maybe some sort of lighting effects at night would be cool (two different rides) like Disneyland did with Rockin Space Mountain but I dont like the idea of the tunnels. They could have up beat music during the day then @ night the music would become darker along with lights , fog and sum other effects...like the promo on the website with the volcanoes.

Let me first start off by saying thanks to Robb and everyone else here @ TPR for keeping us coaster nuts well informed with the world of theme parks and Knotts Berry Farm. I have a couple of questions about the season pass @ magic mountain. I live down in San Diego and I visit SFMM every year but I've never bought a season pass.....well this year I thought I give it a try since I planned more then one trip this year. I plan on buying online or @ front desk before park opens. Now I want to use one of the free friends tickets for my girlfriend do I have to use valuable time when the parks open taking the picture for my I.D card or is this place open before the park so I can handle that ahead of time? Can I use the free friend ticket the same day. Also is June 3 a good day to visit this year? I know its a Tuesday but is this a little to close to spring break??
