More progress. Look like they were going to try to get at least one more piece up today, but didn't have the angles right. We'll likely see the turn into the MCBR finished either tomorrow or the day after. Construction Progress as of January 25, 2016

^ Yep, I've been updating daily with the progress screenshots since around early November. Since I have them all saved its pretty easy to put together the animation. Ill make sure to post new gifs when good progress has been made since the last.

Since we live only a stones-throw away from the park on 6th Street, me and my wife go to Presque Isle quite a bit (even for rides in the winter, nearly every day). Driving by Waldameer is always my favorite part during the winters. Seeing RFII coated in snow, as well as seeing the rest of the park asleep, is a cool view, and sometimes eerily creepy after sunset, as the offseason vacancy can almost give the abandoned feeling. Anyways, great photos AJ! Keep up the great work on the Blog. Love always reading the new entries!

I know in one of the earlier Valravn Update videos they mentioned only lifting through the first week or two in February. As long as they are still on or around schedule it should fly.

I would imagine that it will be a similar process to the way they did the top of the lift. I would think they would lift the top of the Immelman, connect that two-piece segment and hold it with the crane while they lift the support-connecting piece which connects to those two pieces.

Looks like they've supported the piece. I think they are just assembling it so that it is ready to lift once the next support goes up to support the other side of the immelman probably next week.

That is Valravn track, as all of the B&M track in the US is manufactured there. As for that building, I believe it's a maintenance garage. At what capacity it operates, I'm not sure.

Not quite sure if we'll see any steel lifted today, but looks like half of the immelman (in terms of track and supports) are nearing ready to go up. Here is a quick GIF of construction progress so far (based off my progress reports)

They really have no choice. Unless they started construction in May for the following year, there is really no way to avoid the snow and get a construction job done in the Northeast. They've actually been lucky this year. Many of Cedar Points projects have been about 1-2 months into regular snowfall by this time of year. It is a grueling job, even without the snow fall or inclement weather conditions. My hats off to all involved in that industry.

More than likely nothing will be lifted today. It takes a while to get the support built and coordinated for lifting. Likely they will construct the support, and lift it and the track tomorrow.

Last lift A support will be lifted on Monday, as well as the two track sections. After that, it's likely that they will lift the entirety of the last track (two or three sections) including the run out and holding brake would be lifted at at the same time later this week. That should go up quickly since there are no other supports to lift after this last one for the first hill.. The rest of the layout should fly once this is done. Will be fun to see them move on to other sections of the ride once the last of the first hill is placed.

Might as well post it now, as they won't be doing any other lifting today. Valravn Construction Progress as of December 31, 2015.

It's because they are still adjusting to get the footer bolts lined up. It's now more in line, but still not pulled to the footings fully yet.
