  4. Photo-TR: Space Park Bremen - still closed The Space center is getting worse there Hey guys, I am back since a few weeks and I thought I can make a quick visit at the good old "Space Park Bremen". Once there was a indoor theme park called "Space Center" till it closed in 2005. The theming was everything around Space and SiFi. It is sad to see how everything is getting worse there. I made some pictures from some kiddie attractions, which are staying unused outside in rain and snow. Anyway, the mall in the huge complex never opened and that is the reason the theme park had to close, because they never had the visitors they needed to run the park. But maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. A british group bought the whole are and is planing a reopening in 2008 with a new theming and a new name: "Waterfront Bremen". The old space theming will be gone, but I hope we will get back a good indoor theme park, again. Onto some pictures: --Soren Bye bye Space Park Bremen The old coaster track is also still there no lights on in there the ticket booth Everything is still there ... entrance The Space Shot is also still there ... ... ... ... ... outside they are still having these kiddie attractions... the cinema in there is still running Welcome at the space park
  5. Hey... uhh, first of all - Disney is not that bad! I was living in "The Commons" for over a year. I had no car and needed to use the bus transportation which was really good. You get use to it after a while and then you know when you have to take a bus. When you have your own car it will make it a bit easier, but again the transportation is not that bad. Next the hours: I was working in merchandise and I had a minimum of 32 hours in my contract. Normally I had 40 hours a week with 2 days off. At the busy times I had up to 65 hours a week with only 1 day off. The longer you are staying at the Disney company, the better your working hours are getting. After 6 month I could work 4 days (each day 10 hours = 40 hours a week) and had 3 days off, which was cool. When you get a back to back, then you can get 6 days off in a raw. The costumes: I think mine was okay and from what I heard from the others, there was not really someone who said the costume sucks. The apartments: I was living with 4 in one apartment. My apartment was clean and it was okay to live there. Sure you can also get some bad roommates and it sucks, but you can always change the apartment when you don´t like it there. I also saw the apartments in "Chatham Square" and "Vista Way". Vista Way is the oldest complex, but it was still okay what I saw there. The good thing at Vista Way is, there is a Walgreens and nice restaurant (Bennigans) only 2 minutes walking on the other streetside. Chatham Square is the newest apartment complex and it is really nice there - great pool area. I was living there for a few weeks and I liked it a lot. Chatam Square is right beside The Commons and you can pass by for some partys. The payment: I got enough each week to live a good life there. I traveled around the US, went to a restaurant or 2 or 3 each week, to the cinema and spend some nights at a Disney hotel. Your benefits from Disney are awesome. So, in total I had a blast there and I liked it a lot. I would always make it again and from what I heard from the most other guys there, they are thinking the same. --Soren
  6. ^ I also really liked it there, but I need to be honest - I was not looking for the hidden mickeys. --Soren

  8. Be sure, I will come back to Disney till next year and then I will make a stop at the Mexican Pavilion to say hi. The party is every monday night, right!? I was there in the beginning a few times and I also saw how mexicans are making party... wow wow wow... lot of drinks. hehe --Soren
  9. ^ Yes, I remember you both. You were the only married couple with the Mickey ears that was ever looking for me. I am sorry I had not more time to talk on that day. It was busy at the kidkot area, but thanks for visiting. --Soren
  10. Hey guys, I know I wanted to post more pictures, but the last month at Disney were so busy for me and I had no time to post something here. Now I am back in Germany and I have all the great pictures from the resorts I have visited there at WDW. From now I will post all the other pictures, so keep looking. Disney´s Port Orleans - French Quarter: So, another resort I spend a night with my girl friend. This hotel is really nice. It looks like a little town, wit all the cute streets and the street names. Everywhere you find trees and nice quiet places to relax. We had a standard room and that was more than enough. The restaurant we tried there was a quick service restaurant, called Sassagoula. It was filled wit all the stuff you find at every Disney restaurant. The nice thing is you can take a boat to Downtown Disney. It needs around 20 minutes on a nice waterway. I think the boats are also running every 20 minutes and you are having 3 stops at Downtown Disney (Market Place, Pleasure Island and West Side). Onto some pictures: --Soren The end - Make sure to come back for the next hotel report. ... ... King-size bed Welcome to our room The theming inside The restaurant ... The boats From here you can take the boat to Downtown Disney ... With a water slide at the end ... Welcome to the pool The way to the pool ... Nice view Street names are also on the street on the way to the pool I like the theming The street names ... The area Port Orleans map The way from the Lobby to the pool The Lobby Welcome Port Orleans - French Quarter
