  1. I'm going to PA in two or three weeks and I was wondering how professional and well done the event is. Are there any good mazes?(the website seemed to imply that there were only shows ) Has anyone actually been so far? It would be nice to see some first hand opinions of the 09 event before I go. Thanks!
  2. I know this is kinda off topic in terms of what you guys are talking about now but... I'm heading off to California in August and we're definitely going to spend a day at MM so I was wondering what my priority rides should be. The problem is, I tend to wuss out on rides that are bigger than anything I've been on before(the largest coaster I've ridden was Fire Dragon in Busch Gardens. We didn't get to try the Hulk because the queue was like 2 hours long and it made more sense to do other rides instead) and so I was planning on working my way up to trying the larger rides. The only problem with this is that it will be in the middle of summer and the queues are no doubt going to be massive so will I end up missing out on some of the better rides? It also doesn't help that Scream and Riddler(the rides I were going to try first) are at the back of the park, and Viper and Colossus(the rides i were going to try next) are right at opposite sides of the park. Anyone have any advice of what I should do? Maybe just forcing myself to go on X2 would be my best bet.
  3. I haven't really been on very many, but my favourite would probably be the Zamperla Power Surge. It's so damn fun!
  4. According to my friend: "There is this ride in Las Vegas on top of this HUGE tower(he means High Roller on the Stratosphere tower which has now closed. I don't find that funny though since I wouldn't expect him to know given we live in Scotland) that spirals all the way down from like 2000 feet and you can wave at everyone as you go down the floors." I was just like: "Uhh... what?!?!?" He also said it was the scariest ride he's ever been on. I could understand that if it was anything like the one he described but... High Roller? The scariest ride? Wtf... He's not scared of heights either.
  5. This looks incredible! In terms of future slides though, a speed slide is necessary! They're so much fun. Hope this goes well. Good Luck!
  6. WOAH. I was about to post just two seconds ago saying aww, nobody has commented. That is VERY weird!
  7. I've only ridden maybe 15 roller coasters since I began my addiction to them 6 years ago (It took me 3 years to even get on one ) This means that I get a REALLY intense stomach in mouth feeling on EVERYTHING. I nearly had a heart attack on the fire dragon airtime hill over in IOA and so far I haven't heard of anyone else experiencing even a slight amount of airtime there. I don't know what rides with lots of air would be like but I'll be in California in a couple of months so I'll see then. I almost feel bad for you guys since it's such an awesome feeling but at the same time I totally envy all of you since I would sell my soul to get to Cedar Point. (Not quite)
  8. Well, here's my latest coaster. It's a twisting airtime and lateral filled wooden coaster. The station was designed by A7XandCoasters over from CC. Oh well, enjoy! By the way, please ignore the lack of custom supports. My computer was slow enough with the basic ones and it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me to manage customs with a click only registering every ten seconds. PS: My username on CoasterCrazy is Vampire so don't go reporting me for stealing tracks. Outlaw-Current.nlpack Here's the ride. Have fun! This is the first drop. Nice twisty goodness! I wanted to end the ride with a bang so I included a final 90' drop into a ravine.
  9. Damn will it be funny when he is learning about WW2 at school.
  10. I'm learning to skateboard(I really suck though) but I already BMX
  11. Basically sometime in the Easter holidays(either two weeks today or two weeks on Friday) I'll be going on a holiday to Florida. It would be great if anyone here could give an estimate of the queues and also which parks I should choose. I'm guessing each of the WDW parks will take about half a day so this is my plan so far. Day 1: Magic Kingdom+Animal Kingdom Day 2: Epcot+ MGM studios Day 3: Universal Studios+ Wet'n'wild if enough time Day 4: IOA Day 5: Blizzard Beach Any help would be great, thanks.
  12. WOAH, that looks intense I'd love to ride one of those, only problem is that it swings past the ground in an inverted position and I hate that feeling. *cough* slammer *cough* Anyway, cool find.
  13. The roughest coaster i've ever been on was Tornado at M&D's in Scotland. It was HORRIBLE. The OTSR was way to tight and crammed your arms to the side of the car which really hurt when the car jostled around. Also it grabbed your head and repeatedly slammed it into the restraint back and forth for the WHOLE ride. Then again i've only ever ridden 5 coasters so far but still...
  14. The Funniest thing that happened was when I was at a carnival in Edinburgh,Scotland. I sat down on the Power Surge and these two girls came on (maybe 15 or 16 but it was a while ago so I can't remember) and they started asking me and my bro whether the ride went upside down. They then asked the ride op when we said that we didn't know. The ride op came over and answered the question by tipping their seat upside down. We were laughing hysterically
  15. Cool thanks. What's the difference between the Freak Out and Afterburner though other than the fact that the Afterburner carries more people? And by the way I rode the Power Surge last year and thought it was quite fun.( I included it in the list because I needed a comparison) Anyway thanks
  16. Well this may sound a little silly to some of you, but I haven't been on many flat rides and was wondering what the intensity level on these rides are on a scale of 1-10 ( 1 being slow and boring and 10 being extreme G forces and speed) Zamperla Power Surge: KMG Experience: KMG Freak Out: (not sure about manufacturer) Miami: (KMG or any other manufacturer of this type of ride) Speed: If anyone can think of anymore rides that are frequently at fairs in the UK that would be really helpful, thanks.
  17. The rapids ride at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest is really cool. It has a few fun drops and curves and there are TONS of people going down at the same time so you get bashed around a lot.
  18. I'm thinking about going to The M&D Theme Park with my dad(i'm 12 years old, almost 13) for the weekend and I was wondering if it's worth it. It's about an hours drive so that's fine.Is the park any good and if not is there anywhere near that's good. Thanks
