  1. If my memory serves me correctly, it would have been Shockwave at Drayton Manor Park on the end-of-season fireworks weekend.
  2. Wow, looks like somebody had a great weekend! Maybe in a couple of years we'll fly over for that one. Good report. Meanwhile, I'm making do with a bottle of Theakston's Old Peculier. At 5.6%, it's a bit tasty! A dark & mysterious brew! Full-bodied, rich, smooth & delicious.
  3. Difficult choice, Drop Zone at PKI comes a very close runner-up but I'll have to settle for a joint-first of Heide Park's Scream & Phantasialand's Mystery Castle.
  4. I seem to remember having an "OMG" moment outside Hershey Park, but for me it has to be D'Efteling ..... totally awe inspiring!
  5. No one else thirsty, then? I know this one came up recently courtesy of Mr Pete, but tonight I'm having bottle of Courage Director's Ale. A classic, strong English ale! Now there's something to put you off your beer! Originally brewed exclusively for the directors of the brewery. Ruby tinged with a rich & fruity flavour.
  6. That's a huge compliment for the Goliath, isn't it? The author from the "Roller Coaster Lover's Companion" thinks S:RoS (SFNE) is the best ever... Well, I didn't actually say it was as good .... but it is reminiscent of (possibly) the best lump of steel on the (daily) planet!!
  7. DragonForce, December 4th last year @ Cardiff Students Union Great Hall. Firewind & All That Remains supporting. First gig I've ever taken my kids to & we all loved it! Sorry, no pics .....
  8. I rode both a couple of years back. For me, EGF is like PMBO should have been but more compact. I did "feel" the mid-course brake & it did take something away from the ride for me. Goliath on the other hand reminded me of S:RoS (SFNE) in miniature! Personally I thought it had better AIRtime than EGF. Anyway, EGF is good but I prefer Goliath.
  9. Well, I had a night off the beer yesterday. Tonight I'm having a Theakston's XB. (6 days until the Buzzards hit the Rotherham beer festival!) Masham's little secret! Ruby coloured, richly flavoured, full-bodied with a deliciously complex hop aroma.
  10. Lakeside Park (Live) - Rush. (From "All The World's A Stage".)
  11. Here's the last of my trio of "themed" ales, an old favourite of mine (Juggler & Mr Pete also) Well's Bombardier. Lovely! At 5.2% ABV, it certainly packs a punch. A full bodied, fruity beer ... mmmmm!
  12. I've only ridden 4 of the 8, hopefully I get to ride BBW next year & maybe Ninja in a few years time. Anyway, Draggin' Iron was OK ... on a par with Vampire. Top Gun was great but Vortex is the best one for me.
  13. You really crease me up, Juggler! (And that's just your face!!) Thought I'd join you for a quick beer, but as it's a long way from here to your place, this seems like a good place ..... *DAM*, I needed this! A theme seems to be emerging here ..... Tonight's tipple.
  14. I think I probably followed a link to a video clip from another message board ..... I signed up because I have friends (Juggler & Mr Pete) who were already members over here.
  15. Second post & I'm straight into "The Pub" ..... Nice to see other beer lovers enjoying their favourite tipple CHEERS! Class In A Glass! Faversham's Finest.
  16. Hi there peeps, I'm Lyndon & I'm in Cardiff ... about 90 miles from Oakwood, in Wales. I'm forty-something & I've loved coasters since I was 6! I've been an occasional anonymous guest on & off for a while but finally thought it's time to sign up! Great to be here.
