  1. Thanks; yeah, I know because I removed the option for right-hand handrails, catwalks and wide supports. Apparently, when you do that, it removes the under-support too. Oh well, I did it for aesthetic purposes, not for practicality. It would have looked too messy with all the support structure included. Thanks again.
  2. Hope everyone enjoys this one as much as I enjoyed creating it... CBC
  3. Perhaps you should check out RCDB.com for a speed comparison here. Per RCDB, Dare Devil Dive's drop is at 52 mph whereas Anubis' launch is 55.9 mph. That's not much of a difference; clearly it has the "speed" aspect covered. We are just thankful that our park is getting something new this year; we have no concern that it's 3 mph slower than Anubis.
  4. Thanks to an "Andrew Roberts", someone DID post it to Facebook and to Youtube today. It's very interesting that it doesn't "pause" over the crest. Perhaps they are still working on that feature during testing. It's very quiet too. Thanks Andrew if you're on TPR too!
  5. Thanks for the information! We only have a few hours to kill so it seems like Riverwalk/Alamo is the best option. Someone mentioned Tower of Americas to me also so I'll definitely check these suggestions as well. Unfortunately, we will not be able to visit the water park as it's not open this month.
  6. Yes, ma'am! We will definitely have to check that place out. Thank you!
  7. What exactly is there to do? It seems like a tourist trap based on what I read on San Antonio's website.
  8. Hello, TPR community and San Antonio area residents! A group of us will be in San Antonio in two weeks and, besides the two theme parks, we need ideas for other interesting things to do on the day we arrive. The Alamo has been suggested as a historical stop but that won't take very long. Please let us know if there are any places known by locals that aren't necessarily advertised on the official visitor guides/websites. Also, if you have any tips for us regarding your home parks, let us know (for example, good places to eat, vegetarian options, plan of attack for rides, etc). We are very excited about our visit on the Friday & Saturday of Easter. We look forward to getting your feedback and suggestions. Thank you in advance!
  9. I have also had the idea for this inversion for quite some time and have implemented it into several of my own No Limits designs...specifically on the Maurer Sohne X-Car coasters. In honor of Drachen Fire, I have been calling it a high "CUTBACK".
  10. We'd have definitely 6, up to possibly 12 or more, interested from our group. Thanks!
  11. At some point over the past week, the park has started to demolish the Drive-In Theater area where the coaster allegedly will be placed. The area surrounding the Shake, Rattle and Roll ride and the Arcade have been blocked off with metal barricades...the same as the area in the parking lot near Batman that is blocked off. The photo attached was taken yesterday, 10/10 from the Mind Bender queue. Please excuse the poor light quality as the sun was setting right behind the Theater facade. The entire stair-step concrete sitting area of the ampitheater has been demolished and large chunks of concrete lie in a pile near the construction equipment. Under the Mind Bender first drop, there are pallets of what appear to be stone building materials...perhaps for a retaining wall or new pathway.
  12. Photos of the referenced fenced-off area in parking lot near Batman are attached.
  13. I also zoomed in on the picture and it definitely looks like the layout of Anubis (dive loop, airtime hill turn, Immelmann, brake run and zero-G roll)...of course, minus the launch and tophat.
  14. Yes, clearly they didn't do their research before posting. SFOG never heard of Mystery Mine or Sponge Bob I guess. LOL MOD EDIT: Line removed, please see the Terms of Service
  15. I'm interested to see what the three inversions will be as it's not really clear from the write up or the pictures. Obviously there will be a zero-G roll finale...but it also mentions "diving loops" and an Immelman U turn, whatever that will be. MOD EDIT: Link removed, please see the Terms of Service
  16. Three psychos on Psycho Mouse... This is by far my favorite onride photo!
  17. I'm no engineer but these schematics appear to potentially include several inversions, including zero-g rolls (after the main launch) and corkscrews (near the top of he diagram). I am stoked about seeing the concept artwork and animated POV for this ride!
  18. I'll be there but I guess no one else will be. Looks like it's just us....as usual.
  19. The pictures were hilarious but we couldn't post them in order to protect the innocent. Basically, we couldn't post pictures of our friend without her permission.
  20. For the ACE sponsored event, Coasterfest, held at Dollywood on November 22, 2008. Rob (coasterbear30), Jamie (NINCUB), me (coasterfreak80) and our friend Scott drove up late Friday afternoon and met a friend of ours from Sevierville, TN in Gatlinburg for a night "out on the town". We hit a local hot spot, Puckers, and got the weekend off to a crazy start. Saturday morning, we awoke to 20 degree temperatures and a frosted over car. We then made our way across the street to an amazing pancake house (the name escapes me). See attached pictures. This place is famous for their selection of over 40 different pancake choices! It was freaking amazing, to be honest. We then headed to the park for check-in around 10; it had then reached a whopping 25 degrees. We made our way over to the ERT on Blazing Fury. This ride is already not a favorite of ours and, even more so that day because of being wet and cold. After ERT, the scavenger hunt documentation was passed out and the hunt began. Due to the weather, our free time in the park consisted mostly of waiting for the temperature to rise high enough for at least Thunderhead and Tennessee Tornado to open...at 35 degrees. This lasted for only about an hour before the temperatures plummeted again, causing all the coasters to close. Mystery Mine did not even open that day due to not reaching temperatures of 40 or more. That evening, we decided to upgrade to a season pass so that we could return to the park on Sunday. This was a great idea since Sunday's weather was much more enjoyable, reaching temperatures of about 50 degrees. Scott and Jamie were able to get their kiddie credit and we were able to ride the coasters repeatedly with very few lines. Enjoy the pictures and comments! Thanks for checking us out! Thanks to everyone at Dollywood! We love you guys! Scott and Jamie getting their kiddie credit. Never enough phallic symbols! How's it hanging, Rob? Low and to the left! Tower porn Tower Stroking Tower tongue tickler. Scott is a pickle kisser! Dollywood in all it's Christmas glory in the next few shots. Nom nom nom nom! Mmmmmm, fat boys love food! Jamie and Scott Good friends, good times! Dessert shots The Crew: left to right is Scott, Rob, Jamie and Scott BTW, it was freezing cold! Hawaiian pancakes Rob said: Peanut butter pancakes rock my face!
