  1. We like to think of HAUNT at WOF as the "hidden secret" for PHALL PHUN in Missouri -- don't let the secret get out. Actually it is quite obvious that event is popular. The parking lots were all the way back to Lots K & L last year on select Saturdays. I know that the line for Asylum was up to 3 hours last year (can only imagine how long BloodShed's will be once the word gets out). I don't know about top 5, but I would say at least the top 10... but then I'm not sure how many halloween events there are in the USA. I know we have the second most HAUNTS of any of the Cedar Fair parks, second only to KBF (d'oh).
  2. I'm pretty sure that is only a Joe Cool/Motel promotion.
  3. Well if you are wanting POTC:AWE at Disneyland's premiere go here: http://www.miceage.com/suekruse/sk052007a.htm
  4. Wow. That parks just keeps looking sadder and sadder each year. The only reason I went to the park awhile back is because of Wildcat, which used to be a Fairyland in KC (way before I was born).
  5. ^Um, ok. With regards to OTHER attractions being added, there has been a lot of rumors about a "Crush Style Coaster" being added to Studio 1 (where the giant X-wing fighter is during Star Wars Weekends) as well. The WDWMagic boards were making it sound like Ratatouille's sewer escape might be the theme for it though. Of course there is the rumor that Pixar Land will be taking over the backlot area as well, so who knows what all this will bring... I would say that this is only the "tip of the iceberg" with regards to what "operation: something to combat HP" will end up being.
  6. The problem is, the people who own the real Grumman's Chinese Theatre don't like Disney using the "image" of their theatre. I think the hat was built to cover the theatre up until a new licensing could be agreed upon by the new owners of the Chinese Theatre... but since Disney owns the rival Capitan Theatre across the road, I wouldn't bet on seeing an agreement between Disney and the owners of the Chinese Theatre anytime soon. The hat stays.
  7. Camp Gonnagitcha is an outdoor maze that is themed to a Summer Camp that has been overrun by zombies and other ghouls. It is located in the old queue line area for the Plunge. The actual haunt is just beyond the train tressle past Zulu in the Africa section of the park. It is pretty cool and when it is really humid the fog back there makes visibility almost zero which is awesome. Jason, I don't know why it did that. Kind of funny though.
  8. You'll probably have to share with DoD's creeps if they build you guys one in 'Shed. Do they share with Asylum now or do they get to use the Canine Junction dressing room area for their's?
  9. How are you going to do that this year since you haven't got your own private break room at the 'Shed?
  10. Well you could always call up KBF and talk to someone about how you feel.

  12. I guess I have never been through Lore when the screamsters were "hissing". They never did that on the Saturday nights that I went through it, but that doesn't mean that didn't do it on nights when I wasn't there. Come to think of it Jive, there were some over in your old haunt that hissed, especially along the Green Mile... I thought that was random, but then again they're "loony" over there.
  13. Orlando Sentinel FINALLY put something up http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/custom/tourism/orl-bk-rename080907,0,3700135.story There you go for you naysayers who needed a link to something that was in a newspaper or something similar.
  14. ^Well with the addition of "Pixar Land" and if the rumors are true about an addition of more Lucas Properties, Walt Disney Studios wouldn't be an appropriate moniker would it? Hollywood Studios is a broad enough title for the park that it could encompass about anything related to entertainment and basically that is what the park has been moving towards over the last few years. No longer is it just the glory of "old Hollywood" we now have "in things for now" appearing there like HSM and Playhouse Disney.
  15. Oh! The news was first found on the HUB (CM Portal) and that's where this is all coming from FYI.
  16. I guess the press release is slowing making its rounds. The news has appeared on other sites now. I would imagine that we'll have a "hard copy" on one of the major news sites by this evening.
  17. http://www.wdwmagic.com/disney.htm When Steve posts something on there, it is the real deal.
  18. It was released less than 20 minutes ago. Give it a little bit of time.
  19. I thought Edge of Hell was pretty weak last year, but I did enjoy the Beast, but that has always been my favorite downtown. I'm pretty excited about the new permanent haunt BloodShed at Worlds of Fun. It sounds like they are pulling out all the stops with this one.
