  1. The two levels are becoming visible as work continues on Kalani Towers http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/whitewater/031607/
  2. No official word yet. The park opens next Thursday, but it is obvious that the new section won't be open yet. Official opening of the new area is slated for April 5th.
  3. Great Barn facade is now done Cross Bar is now installed http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/silver/030807/
  4. I honestly do not think they are to the retracking stage yet for the coaster. It has been nothing but structure work up until now (last year as well) and that alone has made some difference to the overall ride-abilty of Timber Wolf. This is not the end of the work on the woodie -- yet I have no idea why they are stretching it out so long.
  5. Progress on the restroom Upgrades Progress on Panda Express Progress on putting rides together Photos of a special "donation" from Kings Island Photos of a "donation" from Valleyfair (well at least one is from there) Etc. http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/worlds/030807/
  6. No the slides are brand new from ProSlide. Honestly the park needed body slides as all they had were raft slides. Mind you that the speed slides are replacing the old speed slides that were "camel humped" instead of straight down. They will be a good fit for the park and highly visible from 76 County Music Blvd. I have heard they plan on adding some bowls in the very near future.
  7. Well I would almost be willing to put a wager on the Herschends taking over the park once the current management contract is up. Mr. Bonfante is good friends with the Herschends and spent quite a bit of time in Branson taking in the experience that HFECo has with its properties there. In fact he gave some of his trees to Celebration City and they are in a Circus Tree garden that was done in his honor at CC.
  8. You can view concept artwork on our preview page for the slides. It is located where Paradise Falls was -- it was removed. There at the corner of 76 Country Music Drive and the entrance to the 90 Outlet Mall (Red Roof Outlet Mall). http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/new/kalani/
  9. Another week, another update. The barn is looking like a barn now. http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/silver/022707/
  10. Things are moving right along on the towers http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/whitewater/022707/
  11. The tanks for the air launch system have been installed, both 30-foot tall High-Low Silos have been set in place. http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/silver/022107/
  12. They are moving right along on this thing. http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/silver/020607/
  13. Spoken like someone who never got to ride Zambezi Zinger
  14. Case by case scenario. If you have a working relationship with the park, then it is all right to ask things on a more periodic time schedule then if you did not have a working relationship. Know when to hold 'em, and know when to fold 'em.
  15. 1997 - Zambezi Zinger removed 1999 - Plunge removed 2001 - Omegatrom removed and rethemed kids area (again!) 2002 - Aquatic Arena removed 2003 - Orient Express removed It's more of a hate-love relationship as even though we added two major coasters, we lost two as well. I'm not sure you could call that love.
  16. I wish that they would release the attendance figures for this season. I know WOF was up from last year, but I am curious as to if they made the 1 mil mark again. I know Halloweekends really suplimented the end tally.
  17. New in 2007, White Water Adds 7-Story, 6-Slide Thrill Ride! Released: Branson, Mo. New in 2007, White Water presents its biggest ride ever - a 7-story, 6-slide, multi-experience thrill ride. Higher than White Water's previous largest slide by over two stories, the new ride will be 75 feet high, with two 300-foot drop slides for top-speed body sliding and four additional 312-foot lane slides for four-lane speed racing. The new $1.5 million ride adds more ways to glide and slide at Branson's Beach Within Reach -- with nearly 7,000 feet of slides and 12 rides and attractions for the ultimate summer splashdown experience. With two million gallons of cool, water-drenched indulgence, White Water is an aquatic oasis where guests can swim, surf, splash and slide in water-cooled comfort. Ride lovers will find plenty of fast-paced rides from the new slides to the white-water rapids of the Caribbean Plunge and Tropical Twister. Surf enthusiasts can ride on tubes or bodysurf the breaking waves of the 500,000-gallon wave pool, and leisure floaters can drift with the current of the Lazy River. Families play together in the super-soaked RainTree Island, while kids rule at Splash Island and Little Squirts' Waterworks. For the ultimate in poolside comfort, Cool Cabanas are available for rent, enclosed on two sides with televisions, fans and seating, for semi-private gatherings for up to 8 people. Free life jackets and tubes, and a full staff of certified lifeguards are always on hand. White Water, a Silver Dollar City Attraction, is open May 25 - September 3. For information, hours and tickets, contact 1-800-831-4FUN or www.bransonwhitewater.com. ---------------------------------------- CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Footers complete, vertical construction to begin soon. http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/whitewater/012907/
  18. I think this ride will become the next "Tornado" for the SFI chain.
  19. More parts have arrived at the park... http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/silver/012907/
  20. The hill was more rounded and it has since been built up a little. There has always been a hill, but now with the footers and foundation built up even higher on top of it, it makes it look higher up. From what I understand you will not actually go "over" the River, but the visuals will make it appear as if you do. Remember how far out the swings' arms go.
  21. Oh come one, I still say this was the best tunnel ever! Zambezi Zinger at Worlds of Fun
  22. New photo update courtesy of SDC http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/silver/012107/
  23. According to the experts, no announcements will be made for either park until March.
  24. Since when is Dorney Park opening Steel Venom? Also you forgot Tony Hawk at SFStL
