Mitch Hawker's Steel Poll - Now Open

I hope so too. I think this year MANY people are keeping a close eyeon the ballots. No just because of intentional low ratings, but also because of quite a few "wrong" ballots that were created by the online help. I've noticed two and wrote Mitch about it. The result are the "Alpha" tags you see here and there that indicate that that coaster was not moved from it's alphabetical order. One of the mentioned ballots was all alphabetical And about Blue Flash again... Has it ever happened that more that 5 people have ridden it to give it a valid rating? Nope, so no need to worry... -

It's ment as a joke, just like the actual inclusion of the coaster. Nobody would take the final ranking of Blue Flash seriously anyway... When you mess with rankings like that, it makes it harder to take you seriously when you give your honest ranking. I think that Mitch should ban people who mess with the poll from voting in the future. It's the "Blue Flash"? It's basically a joke! In previous polls he even put a smilie there himself! Fine, next time I simply leave that thing out... -

Maybe it should've happened last year, maybe not. That was partly my fault, i know that very well. I dunno what will happen this year. I cannot speak for others, I can only speak for myself and that I did not make the same mistake again. If you ant to check my ballot, it's #271. I ranked EGF at 26. The reason for it beeing sub20 now (year before it would've been top20) is that I've ridden many for me new coasters I liked more. Black Mamba beeing the best which I ranked at 2. apparently it got deleted... I really hope it won't end up like last year, where a few bad sheep (like me) were the reason that many ballots where EGF was ranked rather low, but honestly were not counted... -

First of all, not even LAST year did we plan anything. I put EGF at 0 on my own choice last year. Everything was coincidence. I take the blame for it since what I did WAS wrong. This time I rated EGF normal. The spot I think is where it belongs. That's opinion. I myself was surprised a little that many others ranked it sub20 too, but then again i understand because it has gotten worse. I found just ONE rating where EGF is dead last, and I have NOTHING to do with it, nor do I agree with it! For most I've talked too, Black Mamba is a awesome coaster that belongs in the Top 10, just like EGF once. I found just as many sub20 ratings of Black Mamba like EGF ratings. -

So because many European who ride it pretty often and rank it "only" above average instead of a few Americans rating it on #1 is sabotaging? EGF HAS gotten worse, that's a fact, but it's still a great coaster. I can say the same thing about Black Mamba. Surprisingly many low ratings are from Americans. So what's up with that? -

No, at least I did not notice anyone. On some ballots it was rather low, but the same happened to some Black Mamba ratings... -

Yup. Actually Black Mamba is winning against EGD with 34 vs 24 after 337 Ballots. -
New shuttle coaster for Conny Land for 2007
DragonKhan replied to thomas2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Funny... Here we are, building the best coasters worldwide, but what do we build in Switzerland? A russian import However, I'm REALLY looking forward to finally having the chance of riding a Pax! -
Looking at the Die Bahn website again, it looks like I can take the same trains but stop earlier at Herbolzheim rather than Ringsheim. They have more frequent buses when I need them (as shown on the bus schedules linked above). Exactly. Herbolzheim is the stop for the park The bus there is very frequent early when the park opens and later when it closes.

Tom Sawyer's Island
DragonKhan replied to Ryan King's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have always been there I love to go there to chill out a little from the busy park. It's always rather calm over there. And for a kid like me the hole Island is just one amazing playground with all its caves and so on. I always imagine how awesome a paintball match would be there! I'm not against the retheme, but I hope they keep the concept of an Island without attractions where you can just roam around and discovery stuff. -

Again, there is nothing so smooth like a Klarer slide, so no worries -

Two Prototypes have been build. No photos so far. Now it's just a question of beeing bought by a customer it seems... There ya go: http://www.thrillnetwork.com/boards/attachment.php?attachmentid=337 That's the point -

Very good observasion Elissa! I think the main reason you don't find any in the US is that they are VERY expensive, especially compared to the in the US located ProSlide. I mean, the even have slides completely made from stainless steel! -

No, it wouldn't be build in the US since Klarer doesn't sell to the US as it appears... you clearly have not been on a klarer slide. They're smooth like a baby's bottom. There are like NO joints... -

It's Klarer, besides ProSlide the best manufacturer when it comes to waterslides IMHO. It's to waterslides what Intamin is to coasters, seriously, I trust them on that one! they've made some great designs! http://www.klarer.com/home_e.html -

Yes, smaller people are generally slower, BUT they will also need less force to go upwards. So basically a weight restriction would not make too much sense. Of course, someone that is too fat might get stuck though -

The Official Nintendo Wii Discussion Thread

Hey, free game included. I didn't take that into account Also, in Japan Wii Sports is not included and it costs just a little over 200 bucks I'm just saying. Saying 249.89 at the lowest was a risky bet...
