  1. ^Did you run out of orange-colored font at the end there? Great pictures!
  2. ^Ah, good old Hunter S. Thompson. I bet he is enjoying himself up there in that great orca-shaped island in the sky!
  3. In the original timeline, or the unaltered timeline, he was never successful with his experiments. I don't think Desmond giving him the numbers in the "altered" 1996, will lead to him suddenly knowing what the numbers are in the present 2004. That's not how I believe this time travel aspect of the show works. Farraday figured the correct readings out by taking measurements on the island. He then gave these readings to Desmond, who in turn, told Farraday in 1996. The "1996" Farraday does now know how to perform the experience, but it is an altered timeline that is not connected to the the consciousness of the "2004" Farraday. (My brain just popped ) In the present time of the show, Farraday only remembers the unaltered timeline of his past. He will physically have to be exposed to the electromagnetic force on the island before he can accomplish whatever it is he is trying to do. Of course I could be completely wrong because this is some pretty heavy concepts.
  4. I don't think it was necessarily the thunderhead that caused the electromagnetism. I believe it was passing through the boundary around the island which is made of this electromagnetism. This boundary is what keeps the island hidden to the outside world and unless approached at the right bearing, prevents those on the island from leaving it. Maybe passing it through it has the appearance of a thunderstorm who knows? Yeah, you are probably right. Those stinking numbers again!
  5. What do you mean? Why didn't he flash when got to the island? He hasn't been exposed to anything yet. He could never figure out the frequency to set the radiation at. (1.234 and 11 Hz or whatever it was) But he figured out what it was once he got to the island and sent a messenger in Desmond to tell his 1996 "self" what it was. There is no telling what he will be able to do, once he flashes now. This concept is really hurting my head.
  6. After having 40 minutes or so to think about this episode, I feel the need to type out what I think this episode revealed. I'll try and keep this short... If you are exposed to the electromagnetic force that exists on the island, you experience a "flash" like Desmond did in the Season 3 episode "Flash Before Your Eyes". Basically, your conscience "time-travels" to some point in your past. This much we knew before this episode. When Desmond passes through the "boundary" around the island, which I believe is some form of the electromagnetic field, it triggers a more severe series of "flashes" which are now reversed. Your conscience self from the past is brought to the present. These "flashes" increase in frequency exponentially to the point that your brain hemorrhages and you die. Faraday who has obviously researched this theory for years, has figured the only way to survive is to find some form of constant from both time periods. That constant must be activated in the present, so that you can reconnect to your present conscience. Hence, Desmond calls Penny and he now remembers who he is in the present time of this episode. Which was a really kick-ass scene by the way! So, what is the significance of this? Faraday appears like he is going to expose himself to the same electromagnetic force that Desmond was exposed to. In his journal, he wrote something about using Desmond as a constant. Remember, Faraday now knows Desmond in 1996 and 2004. I think he was always afraid that he would not be able to get off the island alive, because of the reverse flashes that trigger once you try and leave the island. But now that Desmond has proved his "constant" theory to be correct, he knows he can get off the island. I'm not sure what his intentions are in doing all of this, but if a mouse can instantaneously learn to navigate a maze that it has never seen, imagine what a physicist like Faraday could do! Okay, I am done now. Sorry if I made no sense.
  7. WOW! That might have just been my favorite episode of Lost yet! I need to soak all of this info in before I know for sure. Did anybody else get a Back To the Future vibe from this one? Not just because it was about time traveling, but actually how Back to the Future dealt with time travel models and theories. Looks like Faraday is going to blow up one of the stations, so he can get a "flash" like Desmond.
  8. ^On second thought, this is now much more entertaining than Mars Attacks.
  9. ^ May I recommend taking a short break and watching a movie instead? Perhaps "Mars Attacks" would do the trick. I know whenever I am having one of those "the world is going to end in four years" days, that movie really helps cheer me up.
  10. ^If you have a target on your back, why would you go to the shooting range?
  11. ^I believe Jack said in the courtroom that 8 people survived the crash and only 6 of that 8 made it off the island. But then again, I may have heard that wrong myself. He of course was saying whatever "they" coached them all into saying. I am assuming "they" are the same people that Sayid and Ben are tracking down and killing in the flash forwards. As far as Aaron being one of the Oceanic 6, a huge DUH goes out to me. I was still in shock at the ending, I guess I didn't think that one through too well. Edit: Now that I have had time to wake up, help me get something straight guys. I had always assumed before this episode that Kate was already known to be one of the Oceanic 6. So, I went the whole episode thinking we were still going to get the big reveal of who the other member was. (Probably why I thought it was Aaron in the end) Were we to assume, before this episode, that Kate was possibly a fugitive still when we saw her at the end of last season? Therefore, this week we know she faced her crimes from before the crash, so she is actually is the big reveal? I really need to read spoilers again, I hate being confused like this!
  12. ^That grenade in the mouth bit was awesome! Talk about Miles doing a complete 180 on his attidude! And they are slowly making me want to break my vow of no spoilers this season.
  13. Wow! That was quite a bomb there at the end of the episode. ********Spoiler Alert********* -In the flash forward, Kate has adopted Aaron, Claire's baby. What happened on the island that led to this arrangement? It appears that she is playing it off that Aaron is her real son. And why does Jack not want to see Aaron? I am pretty confused about this. I assuming we now know 5 of the 6. Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, and Aaron. -Sorry Elissa, no Kate and Sawyer hot loving tonight. -Looks like we will have to wait till next week for the continuation of Sayid and Desmond's trip to the boat. I liked the episode tonight.
  14. In my opinion, you didn't use Fast Pass properly. If you have an hour before you can ride Thunder Mountain do not get in a line that is over an hour as well. Instead, find the lines that are shorter in that area which is usually Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Caribbean. Or you could go over to Tom Sawyer Island. Then on your way back to ride Thunder Mountain when it is time, get a Fast Pass for Splash Mountain and repeat the same procedure by finding shorter wait times while you wait. Magic Kingdom is about the right side for Fast Pass to work effieciently if you have the know how. As far as riding both rides in under an hour if there was no Fast Pass, I strongly disagree. Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain had long waits before and after Fast Pass. I'd say the wait times you witnessed on the day of your visit would of been the same if not longer before Fast Pass. I don't get how you came to that assumption.
  15. Don't forget the motion that all those who do not get Flash Passes must be forced to eat the kosher meal because the guy who ordered the kosher meal got the regular meal by accident.
  16. In order to compare things to Flash Pass, you have to look at it in the right context. For instance, paying for first-class on an airline would not be as good of a comparison if that flight was a short 2 hr or less flight. However, if we are talking a cross-country or an international flight, it is a GREAT comparison to buying a Flash Pass on a crowded day like a weekend. In both cases, you are paying for an extra service that will have a momentous effect on your experience. I'd say sitting in coach for 6 hours in cramped seats that won't recline is very comparable to waiting in a two-hour queue line with no air condition. Now, sitting in a leather reclined seat next to a model drinking champagne (like in that Seinfield episode) is comparable to using a Gold Flash Pass to wait 15 minutes instead of 2 hrs. Flash Pass systems are the most efficient on peak days with a proper design and adequate park staffing. If all those are true, I just can't see how you can make a strong argument that they don't serve a useful purpose. Unless, you are just someone who is unable to change their opinion.
  17. 10 years ago or so, I went to Six Flags Over Georgia on a Saturday. It was the only day we could go that year. We got to ride 5 rides all day with every line being 90 to 120 minutes. I was not at all content with that arrangement. No one had an option back then but to wait. We were paying 40 bucks to only get to ride 20% of the park's rides. Obviously, people were not content with this or we wouldn't even have Flash Pass systems. They just didn't make this up. It was a solution to a problem. I think the reason why Six Flags charges for their system is due to staffing issues. Six Flags could not handle the amount of users if the system was free like Disney can. Now the capacity issues that arise from this system being in place depends on the parks itself. I have seen the system work very well at Dollywood. Maybe some of the naysayers have problems with how the system is run, not just the system itself.
  18. Day 3 Finale This update will finish off the DHS pictures. That concludes Day 3. Up next: Universal Studios and a little time-share review. The people that I made wait behind me as Candace took this last shot thought I was a little strange. I heard stories of empty queue lines existing at Disney World but I though that they were a myth. And this is what we found! We headed back to Tower of Terror for one last ride at around 5:00. The easiest way to defeat Bald Bull is to wait for him to charge at you and then hit him in the stomach on his third jump. I saw a perfect place here for a caption referencing the great 80's band "Devo" but I just couldn't pull the trigger. Lets just face it, these bad guys are just not very smart. Pilates is not a proper fighting technique either. I think their fighting technique would be more effective if they would cut out the gymnastics. *Press L2 R2 together to dodge *Press B rapidly to run Pissed off skull face guy doesn't think that was a good idea. You don't actually think that is going to work do you? Thank goodness that was the short spike! Yay! You are about to be relevant again! I saw this years ago and only remembered bits and pieces so this was pretty much a new show for me. The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular was somewhat spectacular.
  19. Dark UFO Although, I am avoiding spoilers so far this season, I found that this site usually had the most reliable sources for spoilers last season. He would generally post a complete episode spoiler the day of the episode. There is also a lot of theories and rumors on there.
  20. I definitely need to watch the rerun for this episode next week. I missed 15 minutes or so of the show and I guess I just never really got into the episode because of it. I am anxiously anticipating Sayid getting on that boat!
  21. Ooops, I forgot that you guys haven't seen it on the west coast yet. Sorry for the spoilers.
  22. ^^I thought Kate was still a "prisoner" and that Sayid just told that to Jack so he wouldn't try and rescue her. Regardless, she is going to get it on with Sawyer YET again next week, jeez.
  23. A pretty dull episode tonight in my opinion and yet another mystery at the ending.
  24. DHS Cont'd We will end this part of the update with everyone's favorite element, FIRE! Indiana Jones and empty queue lines on TOT next! AHHHHH!! Sweet Relief!!! How would you like for this to be your job? He was in "Man on Fire" however. My favorite movie of his. Denzel Washington was not in the movie "Twins". This stunt was inspired by the greatest movie ever to pair Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito, "Twins"! I think he died. Not sure though. He's still falling?!? "Fallen" is one of my favorite Denzel Washington movies. Dude! Don't jump! There is so much to live for! Another jump stunt So, we have all these really fast black and red cars, and then we have Herbie? Hmm. Of course, we all know what really is going on here! Backwards! Our hero, the red car, will now jump this ramp... Pretty amazing driving and stunt work in this show! Lights, Motors, Action Stunt Show was new to me. Its definitely a good attraction to handle crowds like Indiana Jones.
