  1. If you go online to Sixflags.com/NewEngland or participating Dunkin Donuts in the Agawam area, tickets are available for only $29.99. A commercial that just played said everyone can get in at the Kids price. Luckily the place I work for has a special buying program for only $25.00. Six Flags is really trying to get people to visit the parks this summer.
  2. I just got back from a long trip to the Orlando area. I visited Seaworld 3 days not in a row. (I will try and post a trip report later) I got several good pictures from the skytower. (free for Passport holders ) (Larger high quality construction photos available, pm me if you would like them) Staging area Skytower window's a little cracked.
  3. ^ You can reserve the same ride as many times as you want. I know some people who have used it 20 plus times on the same ride with no problems. I am sure as long as the park isn't closed you can keep riding again and again.
  4. Great Adventure and several other Six Flags parks switched over this year to the new Q-bot system like Dollywood. All rides and shows are shown on a new larger Q-bot screen. You can scroll and select one item at a time. All of the Reservation boxes in the parks have been or will be removed at some point. This is for both Gold and regular Flashpass Users. EDIT: Here is a picture of what the new Flashpass look like. (picture from Google search)
  5. I signed on to AOL today and saw another article for the accident here at SFKK. This article is about how the maintenance personnel were not following Intamins daily inspection and lubrication guidelines. This is from a deposition on actual litigation now going on. This is a horrible thing to find out. Here is the link to the whole story AOL NEWS
  6. Saw this on Screamscape and started investigating it further. This seems like a bad idea for a company that has no money. www.sixflags.com/national/footernav/thrilleaders.aspx Some of the important highlights, So they do not even get the same perks as regular team members. The main park they will be working at is Six Flags Great Adventure, but will travel to all Six Flags parks during their contract (not know if its US or All parks yet). I think the company could spend their money on stuff they really need, like paint, correct signs for rides, etc. Any thoughts?
  7. www.rcdb.com/ig1154.htm?picture=21 This picture from RCDB that is of the ride shows two wires between each car. The wires probably were not designed to handle that much force and caused the train to separate. Did any of the reports say where the back half of the train stop?
  8. 9/10. Lucky for me there was a Disney History show on yesterday.
  9. Unfortunately Brandon forgot something important about our trip. We are not obtaining season passes for Cedar Fair as the price to enter the two parks on our trip will cost less. Later this week I plan on posting a picture of my map with the route drawn out on it so everyone can see what "other" parks we are closer to. Thanks Jon
  10. Yeah, i don't really like water parks being so close to everyone like cattle on a train car. And even though the parks claim they are clean, I don't think they are most of the time. I would like to put off SDC until later. I heard from some people that they are suppose to be getting something new for 09.(I don't know what, i take a lot of rumors and just ponder if they are true). Some of Brandon's ideas for future trips is part of the Midwest for 08, Florida and East Coast for 09. I know that if we keep to our time frames we will have about half of the US Parks visited by 2010. I personally am including a small trip myself in 2009 to California and Texas. I don't think i will plan that one out for a while. Thanks for all of your help so far.
  11. ^I would wholeheartedly agree with that!! The roads are almost all single lanes and tons of poor traffic patterns. Cutting Arnold's would be a good idea. Also, on the way to the Dells, you could hit Little A-Merrick-A. It's (IIRC) about 30-40 minutes out of the way, and can be done quite quickly. I think Little A-Merrick is a good idea for a small filler park. I have lived on the East coast so I'm not that familiar with anything west of Cedar Point. I was talking to Brandon and we may add Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom either before or after Holiday World while we are in the area. Thanks for all of the great advice. Brandon and myself really need the help. (If you think we are crazy for doing let Brandon know, this is all his idea)
  12. I'm Jon. i am the more conservative one of this group. I think he is crazy! Please tell him that. But Seriously, we need as much help as we can get. As far as flights and a rental car we are all set. We do need cheap hotels, park cheats to avoid lines, and good non fast food options. Any small parks that could break up the drive around the states would be great too. Thanks, Jon
  13. Mine would have to be Thnderbolt at Six Flags New England
